You've already told your sons about you and Splinter's backstory of how you all become a family.
Now it's time to finally tell your daughter.
You wake up with a smile on your face as you turn to your side to see Splinter laying next to you with his arms around you.
"Morning (Y/N)." He says as he plants a kiss on your forehead. "Morning Splinty." You reply.
A few years ago Vivian asked you about that photo in the dojo, the one of human Splinter, Tang Shen, and baby Miwa.
You told her that you'd tell her when she was older, just like you did with your boys when they asked.
Now, you think it's the perfect time since she turned 7 a little while ago. You want to ask Splinter first though.
"Yoshi, can I ask you something?" You ask. He nods and sits up in the bed. "Of course, my love."
"Remember when we told the boys about our story of how we became a family?" You remind him.
"Yes, they were around Vivian's age, I remember." He says with a smile. "Why?"
"Vivian asked who the people were in the picture were when she was 5, and I told her we'd tell her when she was older."
Splinter catches on and nods in agreement. "It is the best time, we need to tell her eventually."
You grin. "Sooo...it's ok if we tell her today?" "I know it's hard for you to talk about, but I think she should know."
Splinter nods. "I am fine with telling her, it does hurt, yes but I also think it would be good for her."
You hug him tightly as you both get dressed and head to the kitchen where the boys are.
"Boys, is Vivian up yet?" You ask quietly once you enter the kitchen. They nod. "She's in her room playing." Leo says.
"Remember when we told you that story of how we all became a family?" You ask with a smile.
They nod, grinning happily ad they remember the moment from when they were 7.
"Yeah, why?" Donnie asks. "Well, since your imoto is a bit older now, your father and thought we'd tell her." You explain.
"Oh, cool!" Mikey cheers. "Can we help you tell her the story?" "pleaseeee?" He begs.
You laugh and pat his head. "Of course, in fact I was hoping you'd all help tell it!"
They all smile. You then head to Vivian's room to tell her the good news! She'll be so excited!
"Vivian baby, I have a surprise for you!" You say with a smile as you pick her up.
"What's the surprise mummy?" She asks with an adorable giggle. "Is it cake?" She asks hopefully.
You laugh. "No honey, do you remember when you asked me who was in that picture in the dojo?" You say.
She nods. "Yes!" She says cheerfully. "Why?" She asks, cocking her head to the side.
"Well, your onni-channs, daddy and I will be telling you the story of how we became a family!" You say.
Vivian immediately jumps up. "Really?!" She cheers. "Tell me, tell me!" She begs, giving you puppy eyes.
You laugh and sit on her bed with Splinter next to you and Vivian sitting on Splinter's lap. The boys stand around the bed.
"Ok, I'll start." Leo announces. "A long time ago mummy and Splinter lived in Japan be they were humans, but they didn't know each other."
"Splinter had a wife named Tang Shen and a baby daughter called Miwa." Raph says.
"Unfortunately, an evil and powerful man named Saki burned down our house and I lost my beloved wife and daughter." Splinter says sadly.
"Mummy saved Daddy so they fell in love and moved here to New York." Raph continues.
"They adopted 4 tiny pet turtles from a pet store and were walking home when-Donnie gets cut off.
"A creepy dude threw this green gunk on them, turning us into adorable human babies, mum and dad turned into human sized rats!" Mikey cheers.
"Mutagen, Mikey." Donnie corrects scientifically. "Not just green stuff." You laugh and continue the story.
"So, Splinter and I jumped into the sewers, we have lived here ever since." You say.
"Yes, but when your onni-chans are of age they will go to the surface to protect the city and defeat the powerful Saki, also known as Shredder." Splinter finishes.
"The end!" Mikey says loudly, doing jazz hands which makes Vivian giggle.
"Wow, so you and daddy were humans?" Vivian asks. "Is that you in the picture?"
Splinter smiles sadly. "That is me and my former wife, Tang and my daughter who died."
Vivian tears up and cuddles Splinter tightly nuzzling his cheeks. "I'm sorry daddy, that's so sad!" She says sniffily.
"Yes, it was very sad and I still miss them every day, but I have a new family now and I love them as well, so very much." Splinter adds.
"So...if you and mummy never mutated would that mean I would have been human too?" Vivian asks in curiosity.
Donnie nods. "Yes, in the event that mum and Splinter never mutated, we would still be tiny pet turtles and you would be human."
Vivian nods, looking suddenly nervous. "Mummy, what does Shredder look like?"
"He wears all metal and is very tall, mean and dangerous." You explain, trying not to scare her.
"I saw a man wearing metal in my nightmare mummy, he was scary and he killed all of you!" She says, becoming scared.
Leo picks her up and rubs her back to calm her down. "It's ok Vi, that's why we're all training to be ninjas, we're not going to the surface till a few more years."
She sniffs. "Will I go to the surface too?" She asks, looking a little bit excited.
"Hmmm, I don't know, my daughter, we will have to wait and see." Splinter frowns.
Vivian nods and smiles, cuddling her big brothers. "Thanks for telling me, I've always wanted to know!" She cheers.
You hug her and kiss her fuzzy head. "We just wanted to wait till you were a little older before we told you."
"Yes my daughter, you now know our family history and we hope one day you and your onni-channs will be able to pass it along to a new generation."
Vivian smiles wisely and nods, feeling proud that she finally knows the truth.
