When You Meet April and Kirby

It's been a few days since your little family relaxation day, and Donnie successfully managed to save April's father!

You're so proud of your little genius, you knew he could do it! Splinter actually found some mutagen canisters in the sewers which was odd, but it was just what Donnie needed.

Kirby O' Neil made a full recovery from the mutation with no long lasting side effects. Which was a big relief.

By the way: Kirby was mutated as a bat, which April has a horrible fear of, hence her reaction.

Flashback: One week ago

Your sons were on patrol when they heard April and had father were in serious danger. Kraang bots were trying to grab her father.

She screamed for help, which alerted the boys, who immediately went down to the ground to help her.

Donnie however had a mutagen canister filled with some radioactive mutagen that he was trying to get rid of.

When Donnie went to help Kirby and April, he tripped and accidentally spilled it all over Kirby.

He let out an animalistic scream as he mutated horribly. April screamed, watching in shock and horror as her father transformed.

Timothy, fully-mutated practically fell to the floor, in a mangled form. Donnie quickly froze him solid, to keep him alive.

April was both horrified and furious. She faced Donnie in anger, tears pouring down her cheek.

"You-You mutated my father! My only father! How could You?! I hate you! Don't ever talk to me again! I don't want to see you or your brothers for the rest of my life!"

Donnie was speechless. How could he have been so stupid?! "April I-He tried. She didn't want to hear it.

"No!" She screamed. "Just-Just leave me alone!" She then ran home, practically sobbing as Donnie stood frozen.

"April...don't worry, I promise I'll save your father no matter what, I won't give up until I do." Donnie whispered.

Flashback over:

Donnie was practically crushed and depressed for an entire week and it hurt all of you and your family so much to see him that way.

When he came home from patrol, he was practically crushed, and it hurt you to see him that way.

Leo, Raph and Mikey were affected too by the incident, because of how miserable Donnie really was. Also, April made it very clear that she didn't want to see them ever again, it hurt.

After about a week though, Donnie was slowly coming out of his depression and soon trying to save April's father.

He'd brought him back to the lair since he was basically a puddle of ooze after his mutation.

Now that Donnie's turned him human again, he's hoping to be able to make amends with April.
And fix their friendship.

So, needless to say you were more than a little surprised to see a red-bearded man  sitting in your kitchen.

You walk into the kitchen to get some tea and scream when you see a random human staring back at you.

The boys, Vivian and Splinter run in and everyone but Donnie panics and doesn't know what to do.

Donnie quickly calms you down. "Mum, everyone calm down, this is April's father, I was able to get him back to normal!"

You practically hug him to death the minute he says that. "Oh sweetie, I'm so proud of you, I knew you could do it!"
