You and Splinter are usually careful enough not injure yourselves...
But sometimes accidents happen...
You are preparing dinner by cooking a large pepperoni and cheese pizza in the oven.
It's just about done, do you put in your oven mitts to take it out...not noticing a worn out spot on the right glove.
You immediately let out a scream of pain as soon as you feel the heat come through.
You nearly drop the pizza all over the floor!
Splinter and the boys come running the second they hear you scream. Raph is holding Vivian.
"Mummy, what happened?" Donnie asked in concern. They all run over to you.
Mikey gasps when he sees your hand and practically pulls you to Donnie's lab.
"Mummy's hurt!" He shouts. Donnie follows and looks at your hand.
Splinter follows you curiously. "(Y/N), what happened?" "Are you alright?" He asks worriedly.
You nod with a wince. "Yeah, I burned my hand when I was taking the pizza out of the oven."
The burn isn't too bad. Well, keep in mind that have fur, so you have a red spot but nothing too serious.
"Mummy, boo boo?" Vivian asks sadly as she points her little hand to your burn.
You smile at her and nod. "I'm alright sweetie, just a bit of a burn." You assure her.
Donnie runs the burn under cold water for 10 minutes, then he puts some burn cream on it to help it heal.
You smile, as it actually feels a lot better! You hug and kiss your little doctor and thank him.
"Thanks doctor Donnie, I feel a lot better now!" You say happily. Donnie grins.
"Mummy, you might wanna replace your potholders and get new ones so you don't burn yourself again!" Leo advises.
You laugh and nod, promising to get new ones as soon as possible to prevent anymore future accidents!
A few hours later, once your hand starts to turn less red, you go to the dojo to watch your sons spar.
It all goes well, until Leo's katana accidently hit Splinter a left leg, cutting it.
He immediately falls to the floor, in pain and clutching his wounded leg.
You and the boys run over to him and Donnie looks at the wound in fear that it's deep.
"I-I'm alright, my sons." Splinter says, trying to assure them and you.
"Daddy, I'm so sorry!" "It was an accident, honest!" Leo cries with tears pouring down his cheeks.
Splinter reaches out to him comfortingly. "Shhh, I know Leonardo, I am no angry." "I will be fine."
You and the boys help Splinter to Donnie's lab. Donnie then cleans the cut. Luckily, it isn't too deep so there are no stitches required! Splinter watches in amazement as his second youngest son clean and bandage the wound.
"Daddy hurt?" Vivian asks in a scared little voice. Splinter nods and reaches out to her.
"I am alright, my daughter." Splinter assures her. She sniffles but calms down.
After about 10 minutes, Splinter's leg is cleaned and bandaged. Leo tearfully watches. You immediately feel bad for him as he thinks its all his fault.
"Leo, you know it was just an accident honey, don't cry." You say soothingly.
Leo nods. "I know but I still feel bad, I'm sorry daddy." He sniffs as he hugs Splinter.
Splinter smiles and allows Leo to bury his face in his kimono. "Leonardo, I assure you this is not the first time it has happened."
Leo looks up. "Really?" "When was the first?" He asks timidly. Splinter thinks a moment.
"Well, when I was sparring with your mother when you were babies, I accidentally hit her with the same katana."
You even show him the scar on your upper left arm, which isn't that you noticeable.
They all look at it in wonder. "So your not mad?" Leo repeats nervously.
Splinter shakes his head and pats Leo's head gently. "No, it was an accident and could have happened to anyone."
After that, Leo feels a lot better and wipes his tears away with his hand. He even starts smiling again.
Splinter limps for a day or two but after that, he's back to normal and so is your hand.
Accidents happen sometimes but when they do, and when you and Splinter get hurt, your sons patch you up!
"Even you and Splinter get hurt sometimes."
