It's a hot day in the sewers, which is unusual as it's not normally too hot where you had your family live.
You go to the kitchen to get a cheesecicle-which is literally a frozen block of cheese on a stick.
However, when you open the freezer the last thing you expect to see is a cat made of ice cream.
The ice cream cat looks at you, her neopolitan coat dripping a bit since you opened the door.
She looks at you, purrs a bit and meows at you. You let out a very loud scream and slam the freezer door as fast as possible.
You're family immediately runs in, looking both concerned and alarmed. Mikey gulps and blushes, eying the freezer.
"(Y/N), what on earth is the matter? Are you hurt?" Splinter asks, hurrying over to you in concern.
You take a few deep breaths to calm down and wonder if what you saw was real. Maybe you were hallucinating?
"T-There's a cat made of ice cream in our freezer." You say a bit unsurely since it sounds highly unlikely.
Splinter looks at you and feels your forehead, thinking you're ill. "Do you feel alright, my dear?" He asks soothingly.
You shake your head gently pull away from his touch. "No, look." You say opening up the freezer.
The ice cream cat looks at everyone and meows again. Splinter looks alarmed, Mikey looks nervous and Vivian looks excited.
Leo and Raph scream in shock and Mikey finally steps in. "Guys, relax...ice cream kitty is harmless." He says.
"Ice cream kitty? Mikey, why is there a cat made of ice cream in the freezer and why is she licking your arm?" You ask sternly.
Mikey gulps and lets out a nervous laugh and looks around to see everyone staring at him, waiting for an explanation.
"Ok, ok you've broken me!" He says finally, raising his hands in defeat. "I um kinda found her on patrol last night."
Donnie looks puzzled, looking at Ice cream kitty. "Um Mikey, that's practically impossible...you found an ice cream cat....outside?"
"No...well, she used to be an actual cat, but um she kinda ate ice cream I dropped in mutagen and turned into that." Mikey explains.
"Hmm, strange that that could happen but the same thing happened to us so I believe it." Donnie replies.
Splinter looks at Mikey sternly. "You snuck in this cat and hid her from us? We've talked about this before, my son."
You laugh, remembering the time Mikey went out to patrol one day and brought back a live rat, which terrified everyone.
Mikey sighs. "I'm sorry dad, but she was so skinny like she hadn't eaten in a while, and I felt so bad for her." He says sadly.
You frown as that tugs on your heartstrings. "Poor little thing, well...what do you think Splinty?" You ask.
Vivian immediately starts jumping up and down excitedly. "Please daddy, please can we keep her? Please?"
Splinter looks at Mikey and Vivian then at your sad face. "Please dad? We can't just let her loose in New York." Leo adds.
Splinter takes a deep breath, smiles and pats Mikey on the head. "Alright Michaelangelo, you may keep her." He says.
Mikey and Vivian immediately start cheering and victory dancing. You smile as Leo, Donnie and even Raph look happy.
"Well, I guess we both have pets huh little brother?" Raph jokes, nudging Mikey playfully.
Mikey nods and hugs Splinter very tightly. "Thank you so much dad! I promise I'll look after her!"
Splinter smiles and hugs back. "I know you will my son, next time though please tell us so you don't scare your mother again."
Mikey blushes and turns to you. "I'm sorry mum, I was planning on telling you guys about it, but I was afraid you won't let me keep her." He says sadly.
You sigh and nod. "I understand sweetie, but if you'd just told us what was going on we wouldn't have made you get rid of her."
Mikey nods, starting to smile. "Thanks mum, I promise I will tell you guys if something like this happens again." He says.
You give him a hug and kiss his forehead. "You're so sweet Mikey, always wanting to help everyone, that's what I love about you."
He smiles wider and hugs you. "Thanks for understanding, I'm so glad I finally have a pet!" He cheers happily.
Vivian jumps up and down, hoping to get a look at Ice Cream Kitty again. "Yayyy, a pet!" She cheers when Mikey shows her.
"Yes Vi, a pet." Mikey says, patting her head. "You can help me take care of her." He promises.
Vivian likes that idea and immediately cheers, picking up Ice Cream Kitty and hugging her tightly, getting covered in ice cream.
Mikey laughs and picks up Ice Cream Kitty next, pretending to dance with her making everyman laugh.
You all then take turns holding Ice Cream Kitty and having fun until you all eventually collapse on the floor in exhaustion.
"Thanks for letting me keep her mum and dad, but...can I keep her in the freezer? I don't have any place to put her!" Mikey asks.
You and Splinter exchange glances and nod. "You may, but we might have to get a bigger freezer." Splinter says.
"I can make a freezer, a small one especially for Ice Cream Kitty and you can keep her in your room, but it'll take a while." Donnie chimes in.
You smile. "That's a great idea Donnie, I think it will work out just fine." You say, turning to him.
"Thanks Don! You're so awesome!" Mikey cheers, hugging Donnie so tightly he almost falls over.
"You're welcome Mikey, anything for family." Donnie replies, showing off his gap-tooth smile.
Mikey giggles as he hold Ice Cream Kitty close, knowing he not only got a pet but also a friend.
"I love you Ice Cream Kitty!"

But now, I'm completely better and have lots of new ideas! So, be prepared for more awesome, adorable chapters coming soon!
(I may do a few flashback chapters of the turtles a tots or babies again just for fun).
