When You Argue With Them

You and your boys normally get along just fine, but since they're getting older, sometimes you have little arguments.

"Leonardo Hamato, get back here and listen to me when I'm talking to you." You say sternly.

"Mum, you never listen to me!" He says back. "I don't see why we can't ban Mikey from patrol."

You sigh. "You can't ban Mikey from patrol just because of a little mistake he made." You say, trying to stay calm.

Mikey may or may not have accidently let the Kraang get away with a bunch of mutagen. It was an accident, but Leo disagrees.

"But you heard what he did, and he's always messing things up, he always acts like a little kid." Leo grumbles. "I wish he wasn't my brother sometimes."

Your blood boils when he says that. Mikey didn't mean to make a mistake, he's just a little clumsy and hyperactive. That's just who he is.

Why can't Leo understand that?

"Leonardo Hamato, that's enough!" You snap. "I will not allow you to say such things about your brother, go to your room!"

Leo lets out a cry of anger and throws down his katana, making it clang on the sewer floor. He then stomps to his room.

You flinch as you hear his door slam hard, making the pictures on the wall shake and rattle.

You take a deep breath and let it out slowly. What's gotten into him? He's never like that.

You sigh and head to the kitchen to make some hot tea, as you could really use something to calm down.

Raph's already in there, looking angry and ready to punch something, which you don't want.

"What's the problem sweetie?" You ask calmly. "Why are you angry? Can you tell me so I can help you?"

"No mum, just leave me alone!" He shouts, suddenly enraged. You look at him sternly.

"Raphie, I'm trying to help you but I can't if you don't tell me what's going on." You say.

That just makes him more angry. "Don't call me Raphie, and I don't want your help so go away!" He says, looking away.

"I will not go away Raphael Hamato, I am your mother and you will tell me what's wrong right now!" You shout.

He ignores you and shoves past you and heads to his room. You rub your shoulder and sigh.

What's wrong with him today? He always tells you what's going on with him, so why not now?

What's happened to your little Raphie?

With two angry and disrespectful boys in there rooms, you decide to go see what Donnie's up to.

Your walk into his lab where he's intently working on something, an annoyed look on his face when you come in.

"What mum? I'm busy so can you go away? I don't need you distracting me." He says shortly.

You frown a bit in hurt. "Well hello mr. grumpy pants, care to tell me what's gotten you into a bad mood?"

"You, now go away, you're bugging me like you always do and I don't want you here right now." He said loudly.

You gasp and make him look at you. "Donatello, that's not a very nice thing to say." You frown.

He rolls his eyes and ignores you, continuing to work on whatever it is he's doing. "Shut up." He growls.

"Donatello, that's no way to talk to me young man, so I suggest you get rid of this little attitude." You say, getting upset.
