When They're Sad

Vivian is 3

Generally speaking, your sons are very happy. Sometimes though, they get sad and upset

You usually find a way to cheer them up.

You sigh. Now that your sons have turned 10 years old, they no longer call you mummy. You are now mum.

Well...sometimes they call you mummy when they are scared or upset.

Vivian will call you mummy for a while though, as she is only 3 so enjoy it!

You are reading a book in the lair when you hear Leo crying from his room.

You immediately go see what's the matter and find him sitting on his bed, crying.

"Leo sweetie, what's wrong?" You ask in concern as Leo hasn't cried since that time he accidently hurt Splinter. That was a year ago.

"M-Mummy!" "Your alright!" He says in shock as he hugs you tightly, crushing you.

You frown in confusion. "Of course I'm alright sweetie, did you have a nightmare?"

Leo shakes his had sadly. "I was m-mediating and I went too deep into it and saw something horrible!"

"What did you see?" You ask gently. Leo's eyes water as he tries to explain.

"I saw you and y-you were laying on the floor of the dojo, and you W-Where dead and everyone was yelling at me!"

"Leo...did you kill me?" You ask as you feel your heart break. Poor Leo.

"Yeah, i-it was really awful mum, it seemed so real, what if it happens in real life?"

You shush him and hug him tightly. "Shh, that won't ever happen Leo, I promise."

"Really?" He asks worriedly. You nod and smile, releasing the hug. "Really, I know that won't ever happen."

He seems to calm down and wipes away his tears. "Thanks mum, I feel better."

You smile back. "No problem sweetie and if you ever see those things again, tell Splinter or me."

He agrees to do so. You sigh. His mediation sounds just like his nightmare that be had a few years ago.

You leave his room and go see Splinter. "Hey Splinty." You say with a hint of worry.

He looks up and smiles. "Hello (Y/N), what's wrong?" "You seem upset about something."

"Well, Leo saw some bad things on his mediation and he was ready upset, he was crying."

Splinter hums thoughtfully. "Leonardo must have gone too deep into it, if it happens again, send him to me."

You nod and kiss his cheek lovingly. "Thanks Splinter, it's just that he was so sad."

"What did he see?" Splinter asks now perplexed. You sigh. "He saw that he killed me."

Splinter embraces you. "Poor Leonardo, don't worry too much my dear, it shouldn't happen again."

You smile in relief. "Good, I'm going to go see what Raphie's up too." You say.

You leave the dojo and head to Raph's room. He's scrambling around, looking sad.

"Raphie, is everything alright?" You ask as you walk into his room. He shakes his head.

"Mummy, I lost Spike again!" "What if he's gone forever?" He asks with tears in his eyes.

You give him a hug and help him look around for Spike. You then spit him under the bed.

"Here he is!" You announce happily. You reach under his bed and pull Spike put gently.
