Today is a very exciting day. Now that your boys are five, they will be getting their masks and soon will begin training.
You and Splinter decide to give them colors that will represent them best.
Blue, red, purple and orange. They are perfect colors for them. You are happy that your boys are growing up.
You are happy but also nervous. Your children are growing up very quickly.
Splinter hugs you. "You look so nervous." He teases. You smile. "They are growing up Yoshi." You reply.
Splinter nods. "Yes, but they still have a long way to go before they become ninjas."
You walk in and see them playing. "Boys, I have some exciting news." You say.
They all run over. "Are you making cupcakes?" Mikey asks as his eyes light up.
You laugh. "No, you will be getting your masks today!" You reply.
They all cheer again you bring them to the dojo where Splinter is waiting.
They are very excited and curious as they have never been in there before. You haven't either.
Splinter stands and smiles. "My sons, you will each be getting a different color mask." "When I call your name, please come forward."
They wait patiently and sit in a line, waiting to be called up. You stand to the left of Splinter holding the masks.
"Leonardo, come here." Leo stands and walks to Splinter. You tie the mask around his face and hug him.
"Leonardo, because of your calm attitude, I give you the mask that is blue." "It symbolizes leadership, confidence and loyalty but also stability."
Leo grins and sits back down proudly, looking at his brothers with pride.
Raphael, come here." Raph stands and walks briskly to Splinter. You tie his mask and kiss him.
"Raphael, because of your firery spirit, you receive the mask that is red." "It symbolizes love and adventure but also anger and danger."
Raph sits down and puts Spike on his lap, allowing him to nibble on his mask tails.
"Donatello, come here." Donnie stands nervously and walks towards Splinter. You put his mask on and hug him.
"Donatello, because of your intelligence, I reward you the purple mask." "It represents nobility, ambition and creativity but also independence."
Donnie beams and sits down. Now only Mikey to get his mask. He squirms as it's hard for him to sit still for so long due to his energy.
"Michaelangelo, come here." Mikey jumps up and runs towards Splinter, stopping right on front of him. You tie his mask on and kiss him.
"Michaelangelo, because of your energy I give you the orange mask, it symbolizes happiness, enthusiasm and success but also ignorance."
Mikey hugs you and Splinter before running back to sit with his brothers.
"My sons, in a few days you will begin training." "When you are 8 you will be able to get weapons for now you train with hands and feet."
"We will test your skills individually then later partner you up." You add.
They all nod and chatter exitedly. "Hai sensei, Hai mummy!" They bow and run off to play.
Splinter sneaks up next to you and kisses you. "You know (Y/N), maybe we could have another son or daughter."
You laugh. "Oh Splinty!" He grins. "I mean it (Y/N), having a younger sibling will show them responsibility."
You smile. "Your right....well maybe when they seven or eight, after all they just turned five."
"Good idea." He replies. You will have another child soon. You will see...
"Your little boys have their masks now."
