Today's the big day! Vivian has finally turned 5 years old...which only means one thing! She's getting her mask today!
You and Splinter have the perfect color to give her and you just know she'll love it! The ceremony is after breakfast.
You go down to the kitchen and see your sons and Vivian eating pancakes. Vivian runs to you immediately.
"Mummy, do I get my mask today just like my big brothers?" Vivian asks excitedly.
You laugh and nod, picking her up and cuddling her to your chest. She's getting so big already, and your boys are almost teenagers. Sigh. They grow up so fast!
"Yes sweetheart, your getting your mask today as soon as daddy is ready, ok?" You say with a smile.
Vivian nods and turns back to her pancakes. She's so excited that she's dancing while eating!
She's been waiting for this to happen forever! Well...since yesterday when you told her.
Vivian hurriedly finishes her breakfast and runs back to you. "I'm done mummy, do I get my mask yet?" She asks.
"Sorry sweetie, you have to be a little patient because daddy and your brothers are still eating." You tell her gently.
She sighs but goes to her room to play with her toys for a while. About 10 minutes later, everyone is ready.
"Vivian honey, come to the dojo please!" You yell. She runs to you a second later, jumping up and down.
"Am I going to get my mask now mummy?" She begs. "Please, I've been soooo patient!"
You laugh. "Yes, you have been very patient and yes you get your mask, come along to the dojo."
You take her hand and walk with her through the doors. Splinter and the boys are already there, sitting in their spots.
Leo was next to Raph and Donnie was next to Mikey. Splinter was in front of them, holding a mask behind his back.
Vivian hurriedly sat next to Mikey as you stood next to Splinter. He cleared his throat and began his speech.
"Vivian, come here." He announced. Vivian jumped up and ran towards Splinter.
"Vivian, because you are the youngest of your brothers, and our only daughter, you get the pink mask." Splinter says.
He pulled out a light pink mask and gave it to the you. You tie it around her face gently, hug her and kiss her forehead.
"It symbolizes kindness and delicatness, but also joy and innocence." Splinter continues.
Vivian hugs him tightly and nuzzles him, she does the same to you. "How do I look, mummy?" She asks.
You grin. "You look adorable baby, you look just like a little ninja!" You tell her proudly.
"You will begin training tommarow, you will train in the art of ninjitsu just like your mother, myself and your brothers did." Adds Splinter.
"You will train 3 years without a weapon, but when you are 8 you will receive your weapon, just like your brothers." You say.
Vivian dances in excitement. "Thank you mummy and daddy, I can't wait to train, thank you so much!" She cheers happily.
She bows in front of Splinter and heads back to her brothers. They all give her a hug congratulate her.
"Good job, Vi!" Leo praises and he gives her a hug. "You did great, little sis!"
"I'm proud of you Vivi, I promise you'll love training!" Raph assures her. "It's cool!"
"I love your mask Vivian, pink is a good color on you, especially with your pigmentation." Donnie says.
Vivian looks at him in confusion. She never understands when Donnie uses 'science talk' as Mikey calls it.
"He means he loves your mask because it goes with your fur, Vi." Leo explains as he tries not to laugh.
Mikey gives her a giant hug. "Yay, you get to train tommarow, imoto!" He cheers, so she hugs back.
"Thanks onii-chans, I can't wait until I'm 8 so I can get my weapon like you!" Vivian says.
Your sons look at her in confusion. Onii-chans? Did they know what the word meant? They had never heard the word before.
"Onii-chans means big brothers in Japanese boys, you are Vivian's onii-chans." Splinter explains gently. They nod.
"We're so proud to be your onii-chans Vi, we love you and we're so happy for you, imoto." Raph adds with a grin.
They all group hug, pulling you and Splinter in as well. You can remember when your sons got their masks. They were so little!
"We are all proud of you honey, you will do so well tommarow!" You say. "Yes, my daughter." Splinter chimes in.
"Training starts tommarow morning." Splinter says with a small smile. "You will learn basic moves to start."
Vivian nods excitedly. She bows one more time before leaving the dojo. "Hai sensei!" She says happily.
She then leaves the dojo, probably to practice for tomorrow and to get ready to train in the morning.
"Are we still training tomorrow, sensei?" Raph asks. Splinter shakes his head as he strokes his goatee.
"No, I'd like a private training with your imoto just like I did with you, my sons." He replies.
They nod and leave the dojo as well, leaving you and Splinter alone. He kisses you sneakily and you laugh.
"All of our children have their masks now, Splinty." You say with a sigh. They are growing up. "I know my dear, but they are still growing up and they are still our little ones at heart." Splinter replies.
You sigh and nuzzle him affectionately. "I know, the boys are almost teenagers though." You remind him.
"Ah, yes they are." Splinter says. "But they just turned 12 a few days ago, it will be a year before they turn 13."
You sigh at the thought of your sweet sons being moody, pubescent teenagers. Splinter tightens his grip on you.
"Come (Y/N), let's go watch a movie and have a family say with our children." Splinter suggests.
You smile and nod. A few moments later, all 7 of you, including Spike, watch a Japanese movie called Ponyo.
"All your children have masks now, (Y/N)."
