When Vivian Gets Her Weapon

Vivian is 8

Your little girl is 8 today! You know what that's means right? She's getting her weapon!

Your practically bursting with excitement as you wake Splinter and your sons. The ceremony is after breakfast.

"Vivian baby, it's time to get up, you have a big day today, my little ninja." You say as you wake her up.

She immediately jumps up from bed and cuddles you. "Can I get my weapon now mummy, please can I?" She asks.

You pick her up and nuzzle her. "Sorry sweetie, but you know the rules, not till after breakfast."

She pouts adorably making you giggle. You then both go to the kitchen where everyone is eating already.

"Did you cook breakfast again Mikestar?" You ask Mikey, who's clad in his apron with pancake batter all over him.

"Yup, happy birthday V, you happy to get your weapon today?" Mikey asks her.

"Yeah!" She says happily giving Mikey and all her brothers a big hug before hugging Splinter last.

"You will get your weapon after breakfast, my daughter." Splinter promises her with a small smile.

She sits down next to Mikey as he offers her chocolate chip pancakes, made especially for the occasion.

She eats rather quickly, getting chocolate everywhere and making a bit of a mess. You laugh as you see her with chocolate all over her fur.

Soon, everyone is done eating so you all head to the dojo. Vivian Gets there before anyone.

"Come on everybody, I wanna get my weapon now!" She says cheerfully. Splinter laughs and opens the large doors to the dojo.

Your sons walk in and sit in their respective spots on the floor. Vivian sits next to Mikey. Splinter stands in front of them and you stand next to him.

"Vivian, come here." Splinter says with a faint smile. Vivian jumps up and runs to Splinter.

"My daughter, I present you your weapon." Splinter says, pulling it out from behind his back.

They all gasp. It's a special Japanese weapon called the tekko-kagi, which looks like cat claws.

"Your weapon is the tekko-kagi, a weapon used in both close combat, it's very sharp." Splinter explains.

He then puts a special belt around her waist just like your sons have and puts the weapons in the holsters.

She bows with a big smile. "Hai sensei, thank you!" She says with a little giggle.

Splinter opens his arms, accepting a hug because he knew Vivian was about to give him one.

"You are very welcome, my daughter." He says. "Training starts tomorrow." She nods happily.

You give her a big hug and kiss her cheek. "I'm so proud of you baby, I love you so much!"

She hugs you tightly. "I love you too mummy, I can't wait to train with my new weapon!" she says.

"I know, but you can't train with your brothers until you get used to your weapon like they have." You explain gently.

She nods and then sits next to Mikey happily. All the boys cheer and clap. "Good job Vi, you have your weapon now!" Leo says.

"Nice job Vivian, we're all proud of you, imoto." Raph praises as he gives her a cuddle.

"Yeah, now we can all spar once you learn how to use your weapon, don't worry, you learn fast." Donnie assures.

"Your gonna like training with a weapon Vivi, it's really cool but you do have to be careful." Mikey warned.

Vivian nodded. "I know, I'll be careful." She says with a smile. "I can't believe I got such cool weapon!"

"Yeah, they look just like cat claws, they're awesome!" You reply with a nod.

"Remember Vivian, those are very sharp so please don't try and use them yet." "Why don't you keep them in the dojo until training?" Splinter says.

Vivian nods obediently but frowns a bit as she takes her weapon and places it near the tree in the corner of the dojo.

"Ok daddy." She says with a grin once she puts them down. Splinter nods and pats her head.

"Good girl, now I do believe it is time for sparring to begin for your onni-channs, they will not be using weapon today so you may join in."

Vivian smiles. She hasn't sparred with her brothers in a while, since they usually use weapons and she didn't get one till now.

"Um sensei, why are we not going to use our weapons?" Leo asks in confusion once he heard Splinter.
"I just thought it would be nice to try something different today until your imoto learns to use her weapon tomorrow." Splinter shrugs.

They all nod as sparring begins. Vivian does so well on her punches she kicks, you just know she'll do great with her weapon.

"I can't wait till tomorrow!"  She shouts gleefully once sparring is over for the day.

You laugh, knowing she's going to be a great ninja with her adorable little weapon.

"All your children have weapons."
