Chapter 57 - Ibiza

From Madrid, pumunta kami ni Tristan sa Ibiza, Spain. Isang island sa gitna ng Mediterranean Sea. This will be our last stop of our vacation in Spain.

"Anong gagawin natin sa Ibiza? Uuwi pa ba tayo sa Pilipinas?" tanong ko kay Tristan habang sakay kami ng isang maliit na express plane papunta sa Ibiza, Spain.

"Pinadala ko na ang karamihan ng gamit natin sa Stockholm. After our vacation here, pwede ka na mag work."

"Tristan, salamat nga pala sa vacation trip. Ang dami ko napasyalan sa Spain at may bonus trip to Ibiza pa."

"This is a honeymoon vacation trip," sagot niya habang nakapikit ang mata sa eroplano.

"Honeymoon? Naka ilang honeymoon na tayo di ba?"

"I am not referring to us, Eliana. This is a honeymoon gift to the newlyweds, Lancelot and Gwenevere."

"Newly weds? Huy, niloloko mo ba ko?"

"Apparently, my sister and Lancelot decided to get married while they are in Las Vegas. It is a secret civil wedding to stop our parents from manipulating their werewolf wedding. In other words, revenge and sign of rebellion nila sa parents namin. Hindi alam ng mommy at daddy ko na si Gwenevere din ang pinakasalan ni Lancelot. All they know is that Lancelot married someone else."

"Do you think hindi malalaman ng daddy mo ang ginawa ni Lance at Gwen? Your father is a powerful person, he can easily locate their marriage record."

"Eliana, Lancelot is a smart guy. He knows na susuyurin ni daddy at ni Uncle Lucien ang buong Las Vegas para malaman kung sino ang naging asawa ni Lancelot. That's why Lancelot decided to bring Gwenevere to Wales using his private plane. Nagpakasal sila sa isang small church sa liblib na bayan at tanging ang matandang parish priest ang naging witness nila. That wedding is still legit, though they did not file any marriage documents yet as this may leave bread crumbs to our overbearing fathers."

"Anong sabi ng daddy mo saka yung daddy ni Lance? Nagalit ba sila?"

"Nagalit sila kay Lance. I bet they will try to locate his mysterious wife and offer a great amount of money for divorce. Matatagalan bago nila malaman na si Gwenevere din pala ang pinakasalan ni Lancelot."

Somehow, the thought na kasal na din si Lance at si Gwen ay nagpasaya sa akin. Alam ko na mahal na mahal ng kaibigan ko si Lance. Alam ko din na may pagtingin si Lance kay Gwen, pero tinatago niya lang bilang defense mechanism.

"Tristan, nakilala ko si Lance kahit papaano sa loob ng apat na taon. I have a feeling that he loves Gwen, pero dahil si Gwen ang unang nainlove sa kanya, he is in an awkward situation. He is deliberately avoiding Gwen at times. Kulang na lang, ipamukha ni Lance na badboy siya para ma turn off si Gwen sa kanya. I think he wants Gwen to fall out of love with him."

"Lancelot loves challenges. With my sister, walang challenge dahil mahal na agad siya ni Gwenevere. Now that they are married, he will surely face the biggest challenge that he is looking for."

"What do you mean biggest challenge?"

"Lalaki lang si Lancelot, he has sexual frustrations. Now that they are married, he has no choice but to remain loyal to Gwenevere. But do you think Gwenevere will give herself to Lancelot just because they had a civil wedding? I know my sister well. Lancelot will definitely have a hard time to get what he wants," natatawa niyang sagot kahit nakapikit ang mata niya.

"Ibig sabihin, wala ka din choice kundi maging loyal sa akin noong kinasal tayo?"

"Eliana, I don't have any manly problems unlike Lancelot. It was you who seduced me in that hot spring, remember?"

"Excuse me? Ako ang umakit sayo?"

"You are the one who kissed me first, baka nakakalimutan mo. Lalaki lang ako, Eliana. I am not strong enough to decline your naked body in front of me," sagot niya sa akin as he gently touched my face.

"Nag expect ka ba na may mangyayari sa atin noon?" bulong ko sa kanya.

"Not really. You are bit difficult to deal with noong una tayo nagkakilala. I thought I will start living in hell once we get married, but I was wrong. I begin to enjoy every minute of our time together."

"Living in hell huh?"

"We don't like each other sa simula pa lang. We developed a certain antagonistic feelings towards each other, but I am glad na nagkakasundo na tayo eventually."

"Ikaw lang yun, Tristan. I already like you the moment I first laid my eyes on you," nakangiti kong sagot sa kanya.

"Is that so? Are you teasing me again, Eliana?"

"When I first saw you, alam ko na ikaw na ang man of my dreams, excluding your menopausal attitude problem."

Tristan just smiled at me, but this time, I know that he is blushing. He did not say anything and he just wrapped his arms around me.

Pagdating namin ni Tristan sa Ibiza, namasyal kami sa Ibiza Old Town. Isang bayan sa Ibiza with cobblestone road as if natransport kami sa past. Pagdating ng hapon, dumating na din si Lance at si Gwen.

"Bakit mukhang di ka masaya? Kasal ka na kay Lance ah? May problema ba?" tanong ko kay Gwen habang nasa coffee shop kami.

Si Tristan at si Lance naman ay nasa beach for kayaking activity. I am glad na nagkasundo na talaga sila finally.

"Pinakasalan lang ako ni Lance para hindi kami magkaroon ng werewolf wedding anytime soon. Hindi naman ako mahal ni Lance," malungkot na sabi ni Gwen habang umiinom ng Strawberry Vanilla shake.

"Gwen, listen to me. Sabihin na natin na ayaw muna ni Lance ng werewolf wedding. Why do you think he still married you sa isang liblib ng church sa Wales? He can just tell a lie to his parents that he married someone else."

"Beshi, Lancelot cannot lie regarding a wedding as this is a divine event to the werewolf clan. When he told his parents that he is already married, dapat totoo yun."

"So honesty is the best policy pala ang motto ng mga werewolves. Sana naman maging honest din si Lance sa feelings niya sayo kahit once."

"Walang ganun, beshi. Di ako mamahalin ni Lancelot kahit kailan. Kaibigan lang ang turing niya sa akin," malungkot na sagot ni Gwen.

I can't give her hopes dahil lahat ng sabihin ko ay walang saysay kung si Lance mismo ay hindi aamin sa nararamdaman niya kay Gwen.
