Chapter 90 - Knobs

(POV Tristan)

I slowly removed Bianca's hand around my arm. Kahit wala na si Eliana, I don't think she will be happy to see me with her.

"Gareth, ano yung sinasabi mong help na darating? Anong balak mo para buksan ang pintong yan?" inis na tanong ni Bianca.

Bago pa makasagot si Gareth, mabilis na nag materialized si Eliana sa harapan ng malaking pinto. I thought I am just dreaming, but it seems that Gareth, Elixir and Bianca can also see her.

"Eliana?" gulat na tanong ko ng maramdaman ang presence niya.

"She is the help that I am referring to," confident na sabi ni Gareth.

With just a few steps, nasa harapan ko na si Eliana. Niyakap ko siya as if taon ang huli namin pagkikita. It feels good to have her in my arms. Parang ayoko na siya pakawalan pa. Embracing her seems to remove any traces of sadness in my life. I found myself crying while hugging her. It is not because of pain, but because of too much happiness as my wife is alive.

"Eliana, I am not dreaming, right?" I said as I cupped her face.

Mabilis niyang pinaliwanag ang vision ni Gareth about her death at kung paano siya tinulungan ni Professor Joaquim saka ni Massiah Keller to create her clone. It was Azariah and Zeke Grayson who helped her to teleport quickly.

"I am satisfied with your explanation about your fake resurrection, but you have a lot of explaining to do why you are messing up with my head," I talked to her telepathically as I kissed her forehead.

"Tristan, I would love to give you all the explanations that you need."

"I need more than that, Eliana. I almost died in pain when I thought that you were gone. You have to compensate for my agony."

"Ok na ba ang isang sexy dance number?"

Naputol ang pag-uusap namin ni Eliana nang marinig namin si Bianca. She does not look delighted that my wife back from the dead.

"I trust, Elle. Let us go with that plan," sabi ni Gareth na kulang na lang ay pagtawanan si Bianca.

"Wait a minute, we might die in the process! We don't know if turning these knobs at the same time will activate another trap!" galit na sabi ni Bianca.

"As I have said, I trust Elle. Elixir and Tristan both trust her."

Tumango lang kami ni Elixir and all of us positioned ourselves in front of the knob except for Bianca. Elixir gave the go signal and we turning the knobs at the same time. A radiant light appeared from each of the knobs representing the elemental colors, blue, yellow, red and white. The four glowing lights suddenly moved upwards na parang may sariling buhay.

Each light is passing through the elemental symbols as if tracing it. Paakyat ang ilaw sa pinto at papunta sa ceiling. We heard a loud click and the enormous door in front of us suddenly moved. Bumukas ang pinto at nauna na pumasok si Elixir at kasunod kami ni Eliana.

"I told you, she's our help," sabi ni Gareth kay Bianca.

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever. Just shut up, okay?"

"Bitch!"

"Shut up, Gareth Steiner! You are fucking annoying---"

Bianca stopped nang makita niya ang nasa harapan namin. All us stayed quiet as we stare at the abyssal darkness in front of us.
