I have created a new account now that I'm older and write a little differently. I'm taking ideas from the books on this page as well but they are all going to be original to me.

Thank you everyone for all the support on my previous work that I wrote when I was 14-17. I hope you enjoyed them all and can enjoy the newer style of writing on my new page.

EDITED - Haylie left. Scarlett middle. Megan right.

Oh, Augustus Waters why can't you just walk into my life like you did to Hazel Grace. Just as the thought left my mind, my bedroom door swung open. Not quite Gus but it would do. "So! Guess who has the best friends a girl could ask for?" Scarlett said with a grin as she took a seat at the end of my bed.

I put my book down and looked at both blonde intruders. "No idea, who?" I asked with the same monotone voice I had for the past three weeks of heartbreak.

Megan rolled her eyes at it as usual. She was the best friend anyone could ask for the roll of the eyes came from a place of love. "You. Idiot." I opened my book back up before it was snatched from my hands. "We have just had a very long conversation with your parents and they have agreed to our little summer plans."

The mischief in their eyes had me cracking a small smile. "What summer plans?" Considering we were only a week in to the 6 week break I had already planned to sit in my bedroom and cry the whole time.

"WE'RE GOING TO CANNES!" They screeched at the same time, in such a high pitch I almost missed it. Scarlett clapped her hands excitedly waiting for my response while Megan just looked as though she had pulled off the biggest heist in the universe.

"What?" I asked just as my brain started to catch up with their words and the smile began to spread. I started to sit up to ensure I didn't miss anything else.

Before answering, Scarlett's bony frame tackled me to the bed. "She's smiling Meggy! We did it!" She laughed as Megan couldn't help herself and jumped on the single bed with us.

"Wait, are you serious?!" I yelled over the laughter.

"Hell, yeah we're serious!" Megan yelled. Standing to her feet again but gripping my shoulders. "In two weeks, we are getting on a plane and going to France for your birthday!" She yelled in my face making me laugh and shush her at the same time.

I laughed and wiggled out from under Scarlett. "No swearing, my parents are downstairs." She of course, rolled her eyes again, as if she didn't have the most catholic parents possible. I'm pretty sure they would have her baptised again if they heard her potty mouth "Are you guys serious or are you joking?" I asked seriously as they both calmed down a little.

They both exchanged glances as if it was insulting for me to even ask. "We're 100% serious." Scarlett started. "My auntie runs a hotel in Cannes and is giving us discount on one of the suites as a belated birthday present to me." I covered my mouth from the toothy grin peeking through.

"We're going for my birthday? Really? My parents said yes?" I had to confirm as I just couldn't imagine my parents even agreeing to this.

Megan groaned and pulled me from the bed into her arms. "Oh my god. Yes!"

I screamed and succumbed to the excitement as we jumped up and down. A figure appeared in the open doorway. "Thank you so much!" I squealed as I jumped onto my mum.

She laughed and pulled away. "You deserve the break Hayls after your exams. It was only your results that convinced dad." She pulled me into her arms again. "We're so proud of you." She mumbled as if it really meant something to her that I had done so well. As if she had expected less, maybe because she thought my mind wasn't on my exams before the summer. I suppose it wasn't really.
