EDITED - Calvin

Daniel pov

I stepped out the house and looked at the setting sun through the trees. I took in a deep breath, basically tasting the rage hidden inside these woods. I smirked to myself but instantly dropped it when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned to see Zach, yellow eyes and fangs extended. "Look I know you're in alpha dick mode right now." He started making me smirk. "But promise me something. If you see Calvin, run the other way." He said squeezing my shoulder.

I grinned and looked down to the hand on my shoulder. "I make no promises." I grabbed his wrist roughly and threw it off my shoulder.

"I don't really want to be the one to tell Haylie why you didn't come back this weekend." He said and my eyes snapped to his.

"Haylie? Don't worry Zachy boy. Haylie Smith is the exact reason I won't let Calvin kill me." He tilted his head in confusion. "Somebodies got to be there to destroy that sweet little body." I said with a chuckle, but Zach's eyes just narrowed. "Not that I care." I sighed folding my arms. "But why do you hate that girl so much?"

Zach only scoffed in response and turned away from the conversation. "For reasons that you would never understand." He retorted.

The fact that he emphasised 'you' made me know that he meant animal me not human me. Just as the sun went down the rest of my pack came out. I was happy with the size of my pack; it wasn't too big or too small.

It consisted of Jamie, Zach, Ben, and my family. Amy and Emma were too young, and Sammy was too pregnant to participate but I still felt the pride as I looked to them.

"Jess, you look positively glowing." I said as she stood in front of me. "Did my brother do a good job on the honeymoon." My smirk dropped when I heard an unmistakable growl from Simon. My eyes shot to him, and I saw his jaw clenched and his arms folded. "You dare growl at me." I said taking a step towards him, but my father stood in front of him.

"You may scare everyone else Daniel. But not me." He said sternly.

I grinned a little and grabbed my father's shoulder tightly. "I'm giving you a warning." I said and he sighed while folding his arms. "From son to father." He rolled his eyes at that. "Calvin Scott is in this year." I revealed.

"Calvin Scott?" Jess said disbelieving it.

"Oh, my Christ." My mum gasped.

"And you, my dear father, are a perfect target." I saw the way his eyes faltered slightly. "So, if you do run in to the big bad wolf. Give me a howl yeah?" I said with a wink before letting him go and standing at the point where the woods started.

I rolled my head around and felt the bones crack as I let my face transform. My features were more animalistic than the others. I turned to them all and saw they had shifted with their yellow eyes and fangs. I grinned once more before I heard the howl.

"Let the games begin." I whispered to myself and the second howl came telling us it had begun.

Haylie pov

"Table for five please." My dad said to the waitress, and she smiled before taking us to our table.

"So, how was the party?" My sister asked me.

My dad nodded and did a dramatic once over. "Yeah you don't look too hungover."

I scoffed. "You know I don't go to parties and just get blackout drunk all the time." I defend but he just shrugged his shoulders with a chuckle. "It was good thanks. Kind of boring though so we actually left around 11, half 11?" I admitted as we looked through the menus.
