Haylie pov

I walked down the stairs still tying my hair up and getting ready for school. Not like I wanted to go today but I already missed yesterday, and I didn't want the school calling my parents. So as I started to pull my shoes on and Alex made her way downstairs I was surprised to hear a knock at the door. "I got it." I mumbled standing up and opening the door.

The second I saw who was on the other side I tried to close the door as fast as possible. "Ah ah ah," Travis said holding the door with one hand so I couldn't close it. "Are you really going to slam the door in my face." He smirked; I kept pushing trying to close it.

"Haylie?" Alex looked confused and I let out a breath and gave up pushing, allowing it to open fully.

"Alex go upstairs." I ordered still glaring at Travis. I wasn't sure why he was here but I doubt it was good.

"Is everything alright?" She asked looking conflicted obviously seeing my irritation and remembering his face from the restaurant.

"Just go upstairs," I told her again and thankfully she obeyed. "What are you doing here?" I spat and he frowned before stepping past me and into my house. "No! Get out!" I said motioning to the door.

"Relax, I just came to talk." He said looking around the entrance of my house.

"There's nothing to talk about you..." I realised I was raising my voice so I dialled it down to a hush whisper, "You kidnapped me and my friends and tried to kill us."

He shook his head. "You stole my car." He pointed a finger at me making me scoff.

"Yeah, because that's really the same." He sighed.

"Look, I wasn't going to kill you. And I wasn't going to let Tony kill you." He said making me fold my arms. "I'm the one who untied you before Danny could get to you." He whispered harshly. At the mentioned of Daniel, I shifted in my stance. "Believe it or not, that night didn't go as I planned."

"What exactly were you planning?" I asked with narrowed eyes.

"Tony, wanted Danny dead, not me. He wanted to ruin his life. I was hoping we could trap Calvin and Tony in the same room. I could kill Tony and Danny could kill Calvin." I shook my head confused.

"Why would you want to kill Calvin? Daniel said he was a good guy." Travis looked confused but then shook his head.

"Whatever it doesn't matter. You weren't supposed to get hurt. Danny was supposed to shift, so Tony would have been caught of guard. I would kill him and then Danny would have killed Calvin with the rest of us standing by just in case he needed a hand."

"You're lying." I whispered slightly afraid of angering him. "You didn't need to kidnap me and my friends."

He sighed but nodded. "Yeah, maybe I wanted you to find out about us." He said making me narrow my eyes even more. "Then you would be more careful around my brother." I shrugged.

"Why would I be more careful?" I asked and he smiled slightly.

"You know why." He stated simply.

And I did. If his anger got the best of him, he would kill me. Amongst other things. "What are you doing here?" I asked again, trying to change topic.

"I came to see if you were okay," he sighed and I took a step back while he took one closer.

"I'm fine. Never better. Now leave." He grinned and took a few more steps closer.

I kept walking back until my back hit the wall leaving me trapped. "You're lying." He whispered, repeating my words with a smirk as he rested both hands next to my head. I tried not to show my fear. "Now I'm going to ask again. Are you okay?" I kept my glare locked with his soft eyes.
