EDITED - Guys house on the beach

"Where are we?" Scarlett asked as we stepped out of the supercars. Daniel had driven so fast for nearly half an hour and I clung to the seat the entire time. Somehow, every time he swerved through the traffic or turned a corner, even though it was terrifying, it was liberating.

I looked around the hundreds of people and at least 30 more super cars littered around the more normal ones. All situated on this remote cliff in the night. "You girls just stay here for a minute." Daniel replied, placing a hand on the small of my back. "We just need to let our mate know we're here. Please don't leave the cars."

The order at the end sounded serious enough that I nodded. He gave me short wink, sending more heat to my cheeks as he left with the boys.

"Are you guys sure this is safe?" Megan asked as she folded her arms in front of Jamie's black car. "I mean we just got in these cars with complete strangers."

"Who cares. This is so cool." Scarlett squealed her blonde hair swishing as she looked all around. I nodded agreeing.

"Yeah, come on Megan, you have to admit this is pretty insane." I said smiling as widely as Scarlett. I should have been more cautious but I wasn't.

Megan laughed and took another look around. "Yeah, it's cool but we don't even know where we are. I'd rather not get abandoned by these random guys that we only met a few hours ago." I shoved her shoulder.

"Now who's the boring one!" I laughed.

An arm flung around my shoulders and I looked up surprised to see Zach. "So, listen ladies." He said to all of us, deadly serious. "You need to make sure you're with at least one of us at all times. And you have to promise us that you aren't going to tell anybody what happens here tonight." Now I was starting to think more like Megan. I shifted under his arm, making his eyes look down to me in concern.

"Why can't we tell anyone?" Scarlett asked with equal concern as the other boys arrived.

"Because it's not exactly legal." Daniel said, watching my reaction.

I folded my arms, hiding my slight fear. "What is it?"

Zach took his arm off my shoulder and pulled his keys out of his pocket. "I'll let you guys explain while I head to the start." Daniel took his place next to me and we watched as Zach started driving his car down the muddy road, people moving out of the way as his headlights hit them.

Daniel grabbed my hand and pulled me in the same direction. I turned back to see Jamie and Ben with my friends but still following. "What is this?" I asked again as he entwined our fingers. The warmth of his hand in mine made my knees weak. Weak enough that I looked down and cursed the stupid black heels.

"It's a race." He said into my ear, mischief coating the words. He kept a tight grip on my hand as he guided me through the crowd right to the front. "Yo, Dwane!" He suddenly called and a guy with dreadlocks turned from another car.

"Hey Dano!" The guy said taking the cigarette out his mouth and beginning his approach.

Daniel took his hand before bumping knuckles. "What's the bet that Zach's got the lead on this one?" He asked and I turned towards Zach's car. His arm was hanging out the window with a cigarette hanging between his fingers. I was obviously staring for too long as when I reached the wingmirror I saw the way he was watching us, as if he could hear every word.

Dwane reached into his pocket. "Newcomer is Tyler Crip." He said motioning to the black car parked next to Zach's. "He's got speed. I'll bet you 300 he takes your boy."
