As the ray of shine creaks through the drapes on the window, my eyes flutter open. I glide my hand on the bed to find Matthew not beside me. I rub my eyes and look around room. All I could remember from yesterday was Matthew holding me while I cried on his chest. I rose up from the bed and make my way to the living room. I look towards the door, where I notice a white envelope on the floor with my name on it.
I walk over to it and pick it up. I began to feel nervous as I did yesterday when I found one of them. I didn't know what to think, someone out there was watching my every move and I wanted to panic. I started looking around the place nervously wondering if they were watching me. I walked back to the bedroom and sat on the bed with the envelope in my lap. My hands began to shake and sweat, I undid the hook and opened it. The first thing I pulled out was a note which read: Maybe your dream guy is not so loyal and faithful after all. Don't get too comfortable Becca..'' I placed the note on the bed and pulled out pictures. Those pictures that were on my hand, were pictures of Matthew and Gabriella talking, laughing and smiling. They were sitting down at a table drinking coffee, I felt kind of jealous to know my boyfriend was having coffee with my ex best friend.
I continued looking through the pictures until I heard the door unlocked and close. I got off the bed quickly and closed the door. I began looking for my gym bag until I heard a knock on the door. ''Becca?'' Matthew said. ''Just a minute.'' I said. I found my gym bag and stuffed the pictures and the note in the envelope into my bag. I zipped in closed and pushed it under the bed. I quickly went to the door and opened it casually. He looked at me and walked in, as he sat on the bed.
''I got you some coffee, double shots.'' He said handing me the coffee. ''Thank you.'' I said as I sat next to him. I held the coffee in my hands and looked at it, I began to think about what I saw in those pictures with him and Gabriella. ''Um..'' He said running his hands through his hair.
''I actually saw Gabriella at the coffee shop.'' He said as he looked at me. ''Yeah...so what happened?'' I asked curiously. ''She actually invited us to a Barbeque, her parents are having on Saturday. I was thinking that we should go.'' He said. Why would she invite us to a BBQ? I mean after what happened between us, she actually wants to mend our relationship?
''Oh okay, we can go. I'm sure it will be fine.'' I said looking at him. He shrugged and sipped on his coffee. ''Well I'm going to take a shower.'' He said as he began to take off his shirt. My eyes darted on his chest which made me gawk at him. ''Uh...yeah you go do that.'' I said placing a hand on my forehead. He smirked at me and went to the bathroom. I rose up from the bed and went to the living room. I sat on the couch and sipped on my coffee.
I began to wonder who was behind this note and photo thing, everything was just happening so quickly I haven't actually thought about this. The person already knew about me and Matthew, Gabriella and everyone. Maybe it was someone from the university, I don't know. All I know is that they were going to take this information and make me suffer everyday. The more I keep this secret, the more things will get complicated between me and Matthew. I had to tell him, I needed to. I needed to tell him about last summer and Sebastian. He has a right to know because he's been so honest with me about his past.
Elijah POV
I parked my car on the side of the road across from the condo. I slipped my pocket knife and small scissors in my back pocket, I put my pistol on my waist. I put my black gloves on and hoodie on. I stepped out of my car and opened my truck, grabbing my toolbox and black bag of hardware. I ran inside the parking garage, leaning my body against the wall. I noticed there was cameras. So I cut all the camera wires. I ran over to each car until I spotted a sliver Mercedes Benz which I knew for a fact was Matthew's car. I ran over to his car, and set my bag on the floor.
