Chapter 28

I didn't know how fast I ran out of that room, but what I did know is that I was screwed right now. Lucas, who had been waiting outside the dining room went after me quickly. Elena?! I ignored him, running to my room and closing the door behind me. Sebastian, who I had trusted and trained, who I thought was my friend, knew about these plans all along. He had played with me, and I let him do that. "FUCKING HELL!!" I screamed out loud before slumping back against the door burying my face in my knees. I so hope this is a nightmare. Elena? Lucas' voice on the other side of the door. What is going on? Are you okay? "I-I am okay Lucas, just some shocking news. Could you leave me alone please?" I said back, not opening the door. It took a few seconds before he answered though. Sure I guess. I'll be in the room next to yours. I heard him walk away and sighed deeply. Nick... I wanted to call him. Thankfully I left my bag in my room so I quickly took out my phone. The moment I dialled his number, I stopped as well. No, I couldn't put my problems onto Nick right now, not this anyway. He would freak out and immediately come here, which was dangerous for him. I put my phone away, sighing again. Elena? Lucas' voice came from the other side of the door. There is someone here who wants to see you. I groaned softly, I had a feeling who it would be. "If it is Sebastian you can tell him to turn around immediately." I growled towards the door. "And while you're at it, tell him I don't want to see him unless he wants me to punch his teeth right out of his mouth." Lucas didn't reply, but I heard him whispering to someone and then footsteps walking away. I bristled, so he really thought by talking to me everything would be okay? He had another thing coming if he tried again. I looked at the time, it was 9pm. Damn it, it was still early. Going back for dinner wasn't an option, but staying in my room feeling miserable wasn't one either. Maybe taking my anger out in the gym would help. I changed quickly, grabbed my swords – which I thankfully took with me – and headed down to the gym. For some reason Lucas didn't follow me, but I was glad. He was the only one in this whole place who didn't deserve my anger.

The gym was empty thankfully and I turned on the light. I wasn't really sure if anyone used this room except for me. I first put my swords down before walking to the punching bags. They had human shapes, so it was easier to imagine Sebastian's face on them while I punched and kicked the crap out of the things. He will know soon enough that he messed with the wrong person, and I won't go through with this! No matter what my father said. I didn't take a break, so around 11pm I was exhausted, but I still continued. My anger slumbered down a bit thankfully. For some reason I knew you would be here. I froze when I heard his voice. Bad move buddy... I thought to myself. Sebastian walked closer to me, until he was right behind me. Those punching bags look quite ravished. Are you angry? When I didn't stop, he started to smirk. Nothing to say darling? Normally you are so talkative. I turned around in an instant, punching him right in the face. Due to the impact he fell backwards, grabbing his nose. I so hoped I broke it. What the heck Elena?! He said, glaring at me with shock. "You used me!" I screamed at him. "You work with the royals! And then to think I felt sympathy for you, that I wanted to help you so you could help others." I laughed bitterly, placing my hands on my hips. "You hid your real face perfectly, I give you that. Acting like the traumatized young man to earn my trust. But now I see the real you! A lying, pathetic and sadistic bastard!" His gaze went from shocked to furious and he stood up. Yet he scared me deep down, I stood my ground. He was at least 25 centimetre taller, but that had never stopped me. You don't understand it. All I want is for our kind to survive, killed by those wesen. You and I can be the beginning of our survival. I snorted. "Then find someone else. For your information, if someone betrays me, I am done with that person." I passed him. Like Ethan? Sebastian said and I froze once again. Don't fool yourself Elena, you aren't done with him either. He walked closer once again. "I am not sure what you're trying Sebastian, but I would stay away if I were you." I warned him. You're my fiancée now. He didn't seem to hear me... or he ignored me, I chose the latter. I decided to take another way. "Why are you here?" I asked softly. "You know that the first thing I want to do to you is punch the crap out of you. Why take the risk?" Because I love you. He said simply, turning me to face him. "Liar..." I muttered softly. "You came because you want something. What is it?" I wanted nothing more than to kick out at him, he was so close. I felt it when his body relaxed. He was hard and lean, the sharp edges of him pressing into me. His blue eyes were focused on me with a sharp hunger, and I shivered without intending. I want the same as you. He whispered softly. Protecting this world against the bad influence. "By hurting innocents." I shot back. We don't differ much in plans darling. I heard Sebastian's breath, harsh in the quiet. You know that what I'm saying is the truth. I rolled my eyes. "I don't know why it matters." He rolled his eyes as well. Why are we even having this conversation Elena? You will belong to me regardless. Either you keep your freedom and stand with me, or you lose it and stand with me. Why not be with me? "Because you freaking lied to me! You lied about your intentions, you acted behind my back! You destroyed my relationship with Ethan and you try to make me a broodmare for little grimms. Well FYI, the things you've done are too terrible to ever be forgiven, and you don't even know they're terrible. And that's why not. That's why never. I will never forgive you. I will never love you. Never." I saw each word hit him like a slap. As he drew breath to reply, I pounced on him, wanting to smash him down so I could get the hell out of this place. But he was faster and whipped away. I reached out, trying to pull him toward me, but he yanked his arm away easily. Before I could block, he grabbed my wrists, held them in one hand and tackled me to the ground. He had held back during training, and now he pinned me down without effort. He bent his head until his lips touched my neck and I cringed. When he spoke, his words matched the tempo of my pulse. I closed my eyes with a shudder as his hands ran up my body. You lie when you tell me you'll never love me. He said. That we're different. You lie just like I do... "Stop!" I said, trying to move him off. "Get your hands off me." But you're mine. He said, and his tone sent shivers up my spine. I want you... I need you... He took a gasping breath, his pupils were blown wide, something about it terrified me more than anything else I had ever seen. Sebastian in control was frightening, Sebastian out of control was something too horrible to contemplate. Thankfully the crazy look in his eyes disappeared, and he smirked at me. Yes darling, I was holding back on you. His hand slipped from my throat, along my side to my waist. His fingers slid inside the waistband of my jeans. His skin was hot, burning... he wanted me. I don't care about your ideals Elena. You can go and save the 'good' wesen out there. He grinned. I don't care what you do. As long as you know you belong to me. I raised my hands, meaning to shove him away. "I don't belong to you. I belong to me." Once again the crazy look in his eyes came back. I think you know better than that. He said, and brought his mouth down on mine, hard. For a moment I was back in my car when Sebastian kissed me. That kiss had been... gentle. This one... this kiss... I felt as if I was falling into darkness and that I lost myself to become who he wanted me to be. Sebastian's mouth moved on mine, as hard and cold as a razor-slice in the dark, and I raised up on the tips of my toes, and bit down hard on his lip. He yelled and his grip loosened a bit and he stared at me with incredulous eyes. You... I lifted my knee up and kicked him, hard, in the stomach. As he doubled up and let me go, I jumped up and shot by him, running out of the gym as fast as I could. The only thing going through my mind was that I had to reach my room as fast as I could.

Lucas' POV

I was just reading a book when Sebastian walked in, frowning. I laughed, seeing his face. "Man, I guess you didn't listen to me and that you went to find her. Did she beat you that hard?" He glared at me. Shut up, this is just a minor setback. Even she knows she can't escape this. I sighed deeply. Sebastian had been my best buddy for years now, and he always came up with crazy plans. He was arrogant and self-centered, thinking he could get everything he wanted. And for some reason he had his eyes set on the princess. Even though she was a grimm – so they would be perfect for each other – this wouldn't go well. "Can you blame her for fighting back?" I asked him. "If she knew what you're planning to do with her..." I am not going to discuss this with you. Sebastian said. He walked towards the table, got the weapons he left on there and walked towards the door again. Just keep an eye on her okay? I nodded, turning back to my book. After Sebastian left, I couldn't concentrate anymore. I didn't know Elena very well, but from what he saw she seemed too special to be dragged into this dark world. She was beautiful, smart and kind. She was as dangerous and talented as Sebastian, but she was selfless and had a fire in her I could only admire. I shook my head. Sebastian would break her sooner or later and I wouldn't let that happen. But I had to be discrete about it. "Ethan Norwood..." I muttered softly. Sebastian had told me about him, how he made sure he broke their relationship. Yes, that Ethan guy was needed.
