The last weeks were painful, though everything went back to normal. Well normal... it is what you call normal. Nick finished case after case, and each one of them contained other creatures. He also became closer friends with the blutbad Monroe, who was like his living Grimmopedia, as Monroe called himself. Although I hadn't met yet, he sounded like a nice guy. Nick had also taken aunt Marie's trailer away to a secret location, though he told me about it. He shared every info with me and I found myself reading aunt Marie's books with great interest. I came to know more every single day, about the 'wesen' as the creatures were called. Thankfully German had been a part of my education in the UK, because not all the descriptions in the book were in English. There was German, Spanish, Latin... even some Japanese. I was sitting in my room, reading through one of the books as my door suddenly opened. I quickly closed it, seeing Nick standing in my doorway. You took one of the books? He asked and I sighed. "I didn't feel for it to go to the trailer every day." He sat down on the bed. Do you have any plans for tonight? I thought then shook my head. "No, not yet... why?" Monroe asked me to come eat dinner, and I wondered if you would like to meet him. I smiled. "Are you kidding? I would love to meet him." Then I frowned. "What about Juliette?" She is going out with some of her friends. "All right." He nodded and wanted to walk out. "Hey..." I said suddenly. "I have a party at Emma's tomorrow so... just to let you know." He smiled. Sure thing... how is school going? He sat back down. "Fine, I love it!" I said with a big smile. It was true, school really started now and it was busy... but fun. Emma and I became inseparable, and Aiden and Matthew were the best. We studied together, we went out a week ago and when aunt Marie died... they were there for me. Even Ethan and his friends were nice. That Dean guy was getting incredibly annoying, trying to get Emma's and my attention. Nick! Can you come down for a second? Juliette called out and with a last smile he walked downstairs. The refrigerator was broken and I knew someone was busy repairing it. I heard Nick talking to Juliette, she was giggling a little bit. I shook my head, I couldn't concentrate anyway so I walked downstairs. AW crap! I cut my hand. An unfamiliar voice said and I saw Juliette quickly walked away to get a bandage. I couldn't see Nick but then... Please... please don't. Don't hurt me. Oh god... please! The voice said and a man ran out of the kitchen as quick as he could, he passed me without looking up and flew through the door. Nick stood in the doorway, and Juliette walked back. What happened? What did you do? Nick acted shocked, but I saw it was fake. Nothing. Juliette crossed her arms. He just ran out? It looked like he was terrified of you. Nick put his hands in his pockets. Maybe it was the refrigerator. You know, he said it was trying to kill him. I giggled and Juliette smiled lightly. Well, I am going to get ready. Will you two be okay? I nodded. "I will take care of him."

An hour later we were in Nick's car, driving to our dinner. Nick brought some beer with him and I was looking out of the window, it was a nice neighbourhood. We stopped in front of a nice house and I got out, breathing out. It's okay, he is a nice guy. I nodded and we walked to the door, Nick pressed on the bell. A noticeably tall man opened the door, he had a lean and slightly muscular build, brown eyes and brown hair which was lightly wavy. He sports a thin beard and he was smiling. Hey you two, come in. Nick walked in immediately. Thanks Monroe. I walked after him, but Monroe held out his hand. I'm Monroe. I smiled and took his hand, shaking it. "Elena..." dude, you never told me your sister was so hot. I giggled seeing Nick's glare towards his friend and Monroe looked back innocently. I am just saying. I sniffed softly, recognizing a certain smell. "Fish?" I asked and Monroe nodded. Salmon to be exact. "It smells pretty nice." Wait until you taste it. He lead us to the dinner table. Sit down... "Do you need any help?" I asked him. No no, I will be fine. Dinner is ready anyway. He walked to the kitchen and I saw Nick looking at me. "He seems like a nice guy." He is... Dinner was fun, Monroe told me how Nick and he met, and it was a funny story. "So you broke through your own window, only to make a point?" I asked, smiling brightly. Yeah, and I had to pay for it. Nick grimaced. Well, you invaded my home... two times. I laughed. Monroe was easy to talk to, an wieder blutbad as he called himself. He explained me a lot about the wesen world, and when we left – around 10 pm – I felt like I knew a lot more now. There was still one question that haunted me. "Nick..." I bit my lip, looking out of the car window. What is it? He asked worriedly. "I have a feeling aunt Marie was the type of 'first kill then ask questions' towards the wesen but... what about us?" He thought about that for a second. We don't kill them because that is who we are... We always have to try to bring them to justice when possible. And I am sure there are more like Monroe, innocent ones  who live a normal life. We won't bother them... "Yeah..." I said, feeling relieved. I was glad Nick felt the same way as me, but what made me the happiest was that he always used the term we... like we were a team. Juliette still wasn't home, but Nick insisted we should go to bed. I couldn't argue, I hadn't slept well the last few days. Lying in bed, I immediately fell asleep.

FORGOT TO TELL YOU, IT IS A FORMAL PARTY. ONLY DRESSES ALLOWED! :$ SORRY X. Emma's text wasn't very surprising, seeing the house where she lived. I already thought her parents were the type of fancy parties. I had learned that Emma's father's company had close business with Nike, that was very impressive. I half-jokingly had texted back: I DON'T NEED TO WEAR A LONG DRESS RIGHT? Thankfully Emma claimed that a short dress was fine too. I chose a greige coloured dress with stitching on top of it. I was just styling my hair as Nick walked in, he whistled. glamorous... who did you say this party was from? "My friend Emma Norwood." The daughter of Richard Norwood. "The one and only... she is in my class." Well, have fun. He kissed my forehead and walked out. 30 minutes later I parked my car at Emma's house, getting out. It was raining softly, so I picked up the pace and went inside quickly. There already were a lot of people, and a butler came forward. Good evening miss, shall I take your coat? "Oh... um... yes, thank you." I gave it to him and he walked away. I looked around for Emma but I didn't see her. Elena! Ethan's voice came from behind me and I looked back, damn... he looked good in a suit. Ethan's eyes checked me out as well and he smiled. You look stunning... "Thank you Ethan, so do you. Have you seen Emma?" I am right here! Emma stood behind me and laid an arm around my shoulder. You look fabulous. "You too, that dress is beautiful." She wore a simple, dark purple dress but it made her eyes shine. Come, I will give you a tour. She grabbed my hand but I shook my head. "Could I meet your parents first? Otherwise I feel like a stranger here." Sure! I turned to Ethan. "See you later!" Sure thing... I walked after Emma until I saw someone I didn't expect. "Um Emma... what is Dean doing here?" I asked and she sighed. Sadly my dad and his dad are good friends. I rolled my eyes, but thankfully they didn't see me. We walked to Emma's parents and I smiled. Mom, dad... this is the friend I told you about, Elena Burkhardt. Emma's mother smiled at me and shook my hand, you could see Emma got her looks from her. Nice to meet you Elena, Emma has told us a lot about you. "It is nice to meet you too Mrs. Norwood, you have a beautiful house." Thank you dear and please, call me Lorena. Emma's father, Richard, smiled and shook my hand as well. Thank you for taking care of our daughter Elena, she hasn't had much friends. Emma flushed red. Dad... I smiled. Well, you should go and enjoy yourself. We said goodbye and together Emma and I walked to the drinks. "Your parents are really nice." I said and Emma sighed. Yeah... I just wish they were home more. "Are they gone often?" Not gone, they just work too much. Ethan and I were almost raised by the staff here. "I am sorry..." She smiled. Don't be, the bond between my parents and I is very strong. She gave me some champagne and I sipped it softly. The party was pretty boring, Emma had warned me for that, but even though I had fun. We joined Ethan and his friends and although they were real sport students, they were chill to hang out with. Dean didn't bother us and I almost forgot about him... almost. I bowed down to Emma. "I'm going to the restroom, be back in a minute." She nodded and I walked there, the hall was empty. After a few minutes I walked back out, almost bumping into Dean. "Jesus... you scared me." I sighed. "Sorry..." there is no need to be sorry... although I was hoping for a different kind of apology. He smirked and pulled me against him, he smelled of alcohol. "Dean... let go." I struggled. Come on baby, I just want a kiss. He bowed down and I pushed my elbow into his stomach, pushing him off. "I said let go." He hit the wall and then... he gained more facial hair, burning red eyes, his fingernails extended into long curving claws, and his teeth became pointed. I took a step back, and he immediately changed back, his eyes full of terror and fear. You are a grimm... a real grimm... I was shocked, how did he know? Please don't hurt me! He stumbled backwards. I-I am sorry... Oh boy, this could not end well, I had to make sure he didn't tell anyone, I needed to play onto his fear. I pinned him against the wall, holding him tightly. Don't tell anyone about this... if you do, I will make sure you won't live long... I dropped him and he looked down. "Do you understand?" I growled and he nodded quickly. "Good..." I walked out of the hallway, biting my lip to stop the feeling of terror inside me. Dean knew what I was... if he told anyone, this could get really ugly
