You're stuck in my head
And I can't get you out of it
If I could do it all again
I know I'd go back to you

"Hey..." My heart bounced a moment at the person who now sat just a few inches next to me. "I can't believe the Mets lost yesterday. And coach didn't even let me be out the bench today. How could he do that?"

I laughed at his effort to complain about the coach, when the coach was his own dad. "It's probably because your grades are down."

Dylan scattered his pile of homework in picnic table just beside tennis and baseball courts. "So, I heard Nathan did asked you to prom?"

I winced from his question. Dylan wasn't supposed to know about it. "How?"

"Taylor."

"Oh." I frowned and sensed his body freeze. Before I could say a word to him, Nathan popped our little bubble. "Selena! Just the girl I was looking for," He moved to my side, "David was it?"

Dylan faked a laugh. "Yeah, it actually is, but I like to go with the name Dylan."

"What did you want by the way?" I asked Nathan quickly wanting to stop the pissing contest between both of them.

Nathan prefered that we'd be seen together until the start of prom, but why? "I don't understand, we don't even have to be together until the week before prom."

Nathan rolled his eyes. "We gotta build the reputation to win Prom King and Queen."

I sighed to myself. The only reason I said yes to Nathan was because he asked when the whole school was watching. "But—"

"Selena..." I turned to Dylan. "Just go. I could just call you when you come back home."

I slouched to my seat as Dylan started to stuff all his papers in his bag. Within seconds, he was walking away from me while Nathan sat next to me. Unfortunately for me, this "act" between Nathan and I had to go on for nearly three weeks until prom.

As the three weeks went by, it was one of my worst since Dylan decided to ignore me most of the time and he spent time with Gwen. The prettiest girl in school could have went with Nathan, the popular guy in school to prom, but she did not. She got asked by Dylan.

Fun fact: Gwen had to personally ask Dylan beforehand to make a promposal for her.

Tonight is prom night and I am stuck alone by myself at the table watching as people danced with their dates. It was one of my worst night ever considering I had to watch Dylan spend time with Gwen the whole night. I wish it was me with him.

I tried to find Nathan from where I sat and I double looked when I saw him sneak off with Gwen. My eyes trailed to look for Dylan, but he was nowhere to be seen.

I always had the idea that Dylan brought me to prom just like what we promised in the beginning of freshman year, but I guess the idea was slowly fading away. Maybe I could just leave? I slowly got up and froze when I saw a hand held out.
