"And there goes another one." Taylor pointed at the notification from the dating website I used once in my life. Let's just say that my date didn't end good. "He's looks like a keeper."
I checked the screen Taylor had been browsing. "Eh." The guy seemed very private, but well known. He was listed a CEO of some company... Even though I'd want to date him at the endless amount of gifts I'd be receiving, I was looking for love, but not now.
"You're so young, but you're getting to the point where you might want to find Mr. Right!" Taylor advised while I sulked in my seat.
Honestly, my line of relationships weren't great. I'd had on-and-off relationships, one-night stand (yes, the walk of shame people), and the dates that didn't last me just an hour.
I've had the worst luck in love and I gave up. It might have started early in high school when I thought the guy I was dating was my future husband, but he used me to get to my best friend.
A loud clash right across the hall made Taylor and I jump. It sounded harsh. I rushed to open my door and watch the commotion. There was a tan guy with a tattoo on his arm. He looked muscular, but I was confused at the guy who wore a beanie.
I couldn't get a good look at his face, but he was rather pale and thin for such a tall figure.
"You wanna help them? Or give them a welcome?" Taylor asked while I looked at their door close after they finished carrying the last box inside.
I shook my head. "They look busy."
When a quick few weeks passed, my new neighbor was quite. Usually the new ones in the condo were loud and partied all night long.
"Did you see the new guy?" Courtney bumped her elbow at my side. She was at the same floor as us and to her advantage, she always welcomed the newest 'floor mates' we had in this building.
I shrugged my shoulders. "I mean I have seen him, well I saw the side of his face."
"You probably think he's not your type!"
"I haven't seen him yet."
Courtney gasped. "Does that mean you're thinking of him?"
"No, that just means that I'm curious to know who our neighbor is... I don't want him to be a ex-convict." I said before Courtney laughed at me.
"Well, you may never know... He might even be Mr. Right."
Oh how rude of you, to ruin my miserable and tell me I'm beautiful, Cause I wasn't looking for love, And I wasn't trying to fall in love but boy you pushed me, Cause I've had my heart, Broken before, And I promised I would never let me hurt anymore
It took me about a month to actually realize that I wanted to know who my neighbor was. It was probably the fact that the only time I saw him was when his friend helped him move in. Occasionally I saw him when he got his letters or when we were coincidentally in the elevator together, but we never engaged.
