: dylena based off of Winter Things by Ariana Grande, listen to it. I love it.
p.s. I wrote this in a rush bc I wanted to write it fast and release it quick. SORRY IF IT'S BAD. lol.
"What should I do?" I asked Bailey. "Come here." The tiny pup followed me backyard ready to run around in the bright morning. "Are you ready to see ugly today?" I grinned to myself. I attached Bailey to her leash and walked outside of the house for a nice stroll.
For a few minutes, I gulped some water down my throat staring right at the blazing sun. I tugged Bailey towards the house again because it was too hot for me. I'll just make Dylan drive here.
Dylan finally came from his three months of taping in Canada. I prayed he would take me to New York because I hated the environment of no snow during the Christmas time. His parents even insisted on paying for our tickets, but work came first when Dylan had as much opportunities that he could grab.
My managers wanted to convince me to have a few things scheduled around Christmas time, but I refused. I wanted to be off when Dylan came back while we were both surrounded with our family and friends.
I frowned to myself when Momma sent pictures of her vacation with Brian and Gracie in New York. Right? I should've escaped with them inside their luggage, but nope. That would be a whole field day for the media to snoop around.
When I tucked my phone in my pocket, the door knob started to move around with the sound of the keys jingling.
"Dylan!" I yelled running to the front door, but he already engulfed Bailey in a hug. I swear, she always knew when Dylan was coming home before I did.
Even though both of us adopted Bailey and she lived with me, she always favored Dylan. "Aw, is Bailey not liking it here with mommy?"
"Yeah, she hates me." I pouted.
Dylan chuckled and pecked my lips. "I love you."
"Good to have you back... ugly." I giggled covering my mouth immediately. Bailey always responded to Ugly instead of Dylan which made me get used to calling Dylan, ugly.
"That isn't a nice thing to say, you've been naughty this year Miss Selena." He pointed a finger at me.
I hugged him tight when he set down Bailey. "I love having you back, but I hate not going to New York."
We went to the kitchen and nibbled on a few snacks before we planned out the things we wanted to do. I wanted to go out, even when it was hot, to experience some Christmas traditions.
"I want you to have as much fun here as we always did in New York. I'll take you ice skating." He insisted squeezing the side of my waist.
"The one Downtown?"
Dylan nodded. "Yes! Now let's go!"
"Hey, do you guys want to go to the beach?" Tori, my roommate, asked. "Courtney and Ashley are already there."
I looked at Dylan who was already ready to get out of the house. "No, Dylan and I wanted to do some winter things."
"It's so hot outside, just as hot as Alex Pettyfer." Tori added.
I had to smile at her reference, but I still had to say no. "Dylan's in town."
She understood. Three months without seeing Dylan felt like a decade and Tori had to take me out of the house each time. She even got annoyed with the amount of times I mentioned Dylan's name in one day, so this was her free day.
"Enjoy!" Tori exclaimed and ran back to her room.
I patted Bailey's head and closed the door shut. Dylan already sat inside the car and I hoped he had the temperature in the coldest ever. There was a slight breeze outside, but it didn't last me the opportunity to be chill.
The day went by and I still wasn't feeling the Christmas. The ice rink, unfortunately, was filled with teenagers and expert skaters so it wasn't safe or else we'd get mobbed.
"So, what to do in this hot sunny day?" Dylan questioned.
"Tell me about taping, did you enjoy?" Luckily for me, I got used to ignoring and slashing the media out of my life. I didn't have to get worried of Dylan 'cheating' on me even though it was just a scene from the movie.
"I got you a special gift, but it isn't that special."
I looked at him crazy. "Since when do I not think everything you do is not special? Dylan, if only you knew how I feel when I'm with you."
"I feel the same way." He kissed my knuckles while he drove us back to his house.
I've kept his house in tip top shape, but he was excited to take me home for some reason. "Are you gonna pull a prank on me?"
He chuckled. "No, I'd never!"
We pulled into his driveway and he grabbed my hand leading me to his door. "Look, I owe you a lot, but this is how I repay you."
Both of us entered his house immediately freezing at the door. The chilly temperature gave me goosebumps all around my body. "Didn't you turn up the heater?"
"I thought you wanted to feel a little cold since it was so hot outside?"
"I didn't mean like this." I attached myself.
Dylan hugged me back. "Hey, want some heat?"
"Yes please." I almost begged. He led me to his basement, but it was all dark. "Dylan, what's going on?"
He lit up the whole basement which filled out the whole floor with white fluffy cotton. To the side it blew some white flurries in the air making it look like snow. Dylan turned on the TV which displayed a fireplace feature. The sound of a little machine scurried me to the front near Dylan. I quickly placed my fingers in front of the heater.
"What is this?" I smiled brightly.
He shrugged. "Well, Tori told me how you badly wanted to go to New York and it really bummed you out. I wanted to bring New York to you."
"You didn't have to."
"I actually did. If not then you would've hated winter this year."
I had to agree with him on that. "Oh my god, I love you. I love you. I love you."
He kissed me on my forehead. "I love you too, but join me with some hot chocolate." He handed me a cup that was steaming hot, I loved it.
Dylan ran upstairs and came back in no time to toss me his hoodie. "Just because I missed seeing you wear my things."
"Thank you." I shoved my hands in the pocket when I felt an envelope at the pocket. I took it out seeing an airplane photo on it. "What is this?"
"I bought us tickets to go to New York tomorrow morning." He simply said sipping on his drink.
I jumped up. "What? You're kidding me!"
"No I'm not. That's my Christmas present!"
"Dylan..."
He flashed me a smile. "Selena..."
"Why?"
"Well, I missed New York as well and I didn't want you to imagine it. I wanted us to keep our tradition." He explained.
"God, I'm so lucky to have you."
"I'm glad, now let's do some more winter things before the actual winter in New York." Dylan wrapped his arm around my shoulder holding me tight. I sipped on my hot cocoa and stared at Dylan.
I was glad he was back. My Christmas definitely took a turn for the better and unexpected.
[an: sucked & ahhhh holidays!]
