~Chapter 20~

His blue eyes locked with those majestic green ones that looked incredibly sad in that moment.

"I need to use the loo, see you there okay?" Louis stood to the side, letting the students merge out of the door, everyone excited to go to Hogsmeade.

"Why's the long face Styles?"

"It's just boring staying here all alone."

"Well you could always sneak out if you'd have the balls." His eyes started to shine brightly, like he just gave an idea to the git and he already regretted this knowing well that he should have kept walking.

"Help me." It wasn't a question and before he could have interjected he was dragged towards the Gryffindor tower. He freed his hand upon seeing the Weasley twins and ducked behind a tapestry. He was never certain why that was even a thing but a lot of them had spacious balconies behind them. It just didn't make sense as most students used them to skip class or make out in these alcoves.

He heard hushed voices and besides registering that Styles was eager to get rid of them he couldn't make out what was going on.

The tapestry slid to the side, making Louis step back when his nose almost brushed together with Styles'. "Oh...er...they gave me this."

Styles was grinning from ear to ear showing a piece of parchment to the tiny lad. At first he didn't get why that's so spectacular but taking a closer look his jaw dropped.

"It's called the Marauders Map and shows everything and everyone in Hogwarts, this will help us a lot. Look there's a tunnel going out right into Hogsmeade." Louis watched the map that indeed showed both of them and random teachers, even the ghosts.

"What if it's bollocks?"

"Only one way to find out but Fred and George had been using it for years. It's probably pretty spot on."

Louis simply followed the twerp up to his room and watched as he grabbed a cloak. "And why would you put on something so old and ugly?"

"This is not a fashion piece Louis, it's an invisibility cloak." Louis' jaw was permanently lost as Styles just used his first name which he's never done before and he also completely disappeared. It wasn't like the disillusionment charms that he uses to sneak into the library. He was completely gone.

He gasped softly as a hand wrapped around him, the heavy material covering his body as well. "Let's go, here guide us and I'll keep the cloak." Louis took the map and did as told. To his surprise it appeared to be legit as the people shown to be heading their way all appeared and they did indeed find a tunnel.

They got out and besides the fact that they were leaving footprints in the snow they were absolutely invisible. Louis was about to slip out and tell Styles to have fun or something but his waist was grabbed by the curly-haired lad.

"Wait let's just follow them." He saw that McGonagall and the minister of magic talking about the chosen one loudly with some random people scattered around. "Just this once Styles." He grunted but walked towards the adults.

Louis wished he would have been smarter. He didn't even know that the taller lad wasn't aware who his own godfather is. They walked all the way to the haunted house where no one ever dared to go which basically meant Louis walking and dragging Styles with.

"Listen it doesn't mean anything..."

"He is the reason my parents are dead. He betrayed them, he's my...my...oh my god." He buried his face into his hands while Louis knelt in front of him.

"Listen that doesn't mean anything. Black is a horrible man but it doesn't actually change anything. They'll catch him and lock him back to Azkaban in no time. Styles come on." He was pretty out of it and Louis just didn't know what to do.

He made a tiny snowball haphazardly and threw it at him. "You did not actually sneak out to be miserable or if you did you couldn't possibly have let yourself believe that I'll let you get away with that?" A very small smile graced his lips but it was a start.

Well that start turned into a full blown snow fight, getting both of them drenched. The curly-haired lad just tackled Louis, making him laugh while shutting his eyes. His gloved hands clasped his petite wrists, holding him down but keeping most of his weight off of him.

"Say it out loud Louis. Admit that you've lost." Louis giggled softly but shook his head like the stubborn minx he was. "Since when do you use my name Styles? What's next you'll start eating with me at the Slytherin table?"

Harry grinned as well and simply shrugged it off. "Maybe I will." Louis shook his head, taking the hand offered to him and letting himself be lifted back to his feet.

"I like your name, it suits you." He smiled a tiny bit but tried to hide it so the curly-haired lad wouldn't see.

"Well I like yours as well Harry." His dimple basically carved a crater in his cheek, seemingly planning to stay there for good. "Let's just go back, because I don't want to get sick."

They ended up talking quietly for the entire time, making sure not to converse when people were around. Harry actually took Louis to the dungeons so he wouldn't be seen alone and dripping wet walking through the castle.

It was incredibly bizarre as Louis really didn't think that it would be that nice to talk to Harry. He was a great listener and everything he wanted to say appeared to interest Louis.

"Thank you for this whole day Louis, have a good night." Louis smiled and watched him walk down the hall, waving when he turned back before turning the corner, mouthing 'you too' making Harry wink at him.
