The Battle He Won (RomeoxM.Jesse)

Jesse's PoV

The gauntlet shattered into a million pieces, making Jesse, Petra and Jack fall backwards and onto the platform.

Romeo's voice echoed around the Terminal Space. "The games are over Jesse! You're no match for me!" Romeo laughed.

Suddenly, he appeared in front of Jesse, raising his arms and summoning a diamond sword.

Thinking quickly, he took out his own diamond sword and blocked Romeo's blade. "Don't you understand?" Romeo demanded, pressing down on Jesse as he strained against his sword. "Give up now and I'll go easy on you later!"

"No!" Jesse shoved Romeo off and got to his feet, facing the Admin as he laughed. With a smooth swipe of his hand, Petra and Jack were caged in blocks of ice. "It's just you and me again, Jesse. You and me." Romeo smiled, holding up his sword in the same stance as Jesse.

But Jesse didn't say anything, he just tightened his grip on his sword and waited for Romeo to strike. "What's wrong? Scared? You should be," Romeo laughed, "Without that stupid gauntlet, you're powerless without it!"

Jesse swung his sword at Romeo, but the other man was too powerful. With another causal wave of his arm, he brought Jesse to the ground again.

"Give up, now."

Jesse knew he couldn't win... but he clambered to his feet again and faced Romeo again. "This is why I admire you so much, my champion. You don't give up! Glorious!" he smiled proudly. "I.. am not your champion." Jesse said hoarsely, obviously weak from his fight with the Admin.

Romeo held out his hand and Jesse looked up when Petra materialised in front of him. "Let me go!" she yelled as Jesse glared at Romeo. "What are you going to do to her?!" he shouted at him.

"Since you care SO much about her, why not you save her?" Romeo moved his arm so that Petra was hovering over the edge, her feet not touching the ground. Jesse sank to his knees, weak and faced with yet another difficult decision..

"Choose Jesse. Either you can give up or... she dies."

"No Jesse! Don't give up!" Petra protested, trying her best to free herself from Romeo's powers.

Jesse stared at the ground, still in pain. His reflection stared back at him. He had a black eye and his nose was bleeding... should he give up? He glanced up at Romeo, who smiled at him pleasantly while Petra hovered over the void.

Jesse closed his eyes, "I give up."

There was a moment of silence as everyone went silent. "Did you hear that? The mighty Jesse! Hero of Beacontown and Leader of the New Order of the Stone! He gave up!" Romeo laughed.

"Let her go... now." Jesse said angrily, slowly getting to his feet. Romeo smiled. "Gladly. Now.. as promised." He snapped his fingers as Jack and Petra vanished.

"Wh-where did they go?!" Jesse demanded, holding up his sword angrily.

Romeo shrugged. "I just sent them to the same place you imprisoned my old friend, Hadrian. Oh he was such a bore! Even after I gave him the Portal Atlas. So thank you for sending him there."

Jesse narrowed his eyes. "What are you going to do? Leave me here? I'd rather stay here all alone than to be here with you."

Suddenly Romeo did something Jesse never expected. He sighed and folded his arms, suddenly turning into a rather normal looking human. He had a simple grey shirt, blue jeans and red shoes.

And he looked exhausted. "Don't you know how difficult it was to do all that?" he asked, looking at Jesse, who was still processing what just happened.

"Uh.. is that really you?" was all Jesse said.

"Of course its me, dingbat." Romeo muttered, folding his arms.

"You look young."

"Seriously?"

"You know what, I'm just gonna leave you here." Romeo said, walking away. Jesse frowned. "What? Aren't you gonna torture me or anything? Annoy me to death?"

Romeo turned to Jesse. "Of course I'm not going to kill you, champion. But you are going to stay here."

Jesse burst out laughing, which was a little inappropriate. "I'm.. oh gosh, I'm sorry.. it's just that. I cant take you seriously when you look like this."

Romeo was a little insulted but he couldn't help smiling a little. "Yeah yeah, we'll see who's the laughing one when I'm gone."

"Admin- Romeo- umm.." Jesse faltered when Romeo glared at him.

"Won't I die here?"

Romeo sighed, looking around at the glowing sea lanterns. "No. Fred, Xara and I built the Terminal Space... time stops completely here. Now... any more questions?"

Jesse shook his head. "See you in the next few million years or so." Romeo held up and hand and vanished.
