The Return of a Villain (2/2)

Jesse's PoV

Thinking quickly, Jesse placed a hand on his table and found a drawer, which he pulled open. He grabbed a torch and lit it, its flame illuminating the darkness. And right in front of him was a very familiar young woman, her glasses glinting from the firelight.

"Miss me?" Cassie Rose asked, holding a diamond axe to Radar's throat, daring him to move. Jesse just bit his lip as he stood defenceless against his old foe. Cassie looked like she came from the wilderness. Her red hair was now streaked with grey, and the lenses of her glasses were spiderwebbed with cracks. Her clothes were now replaced with torn seams and ripped edges.

"You look wild." Jesse blurted out, making Cassie glare at him. "Talkative as ever aren't you, Jesse?" she snarled. "Look what you did to me!" Jesse relaxed a little when she swung the axe away from Radar to gesture at her clothes. "I've searched. Countless of blocks. Over various biomes just to look for you!"

"To show you what you did to me!" she continued, looking livid. Jesse held up the torch. "Yeah, I can see that, Cassie. Now can you leave? You said that's all you wanted to do. See me."

"Shut your mouth Jesse," Cassie snapped, "I came back to finally get my revenge on you." she rested the axe on Radar's throat, making him swallow nervously.

"Just put down that axe Cassie-."

"NO!" she exclaimed, "I've waited for too long for this. And now I'm going to kill your little friend here then I'll kill you next!" with that, Cassie raised her axe and swung, "Jesse!" Radar gasped as Cassie struck him again, sending him to the ground.

Jesse gasped as well, remembering how Lizzie had died the same way. Radar kneeled over and died, his inventory spilling to the ground. Jesse watched, shocked as Radar's body evaporated into white smoke.

Cassie laughed, a sheer maniacal laugh which sent shivers up Jesse's spine. "Now... I see you took my most prized possession.." she walked up to a floating white pumpkin, examining it closely.

"Very good condition, thank you." she picked it up and placed it over her head. Immediately, her voice became much deeper and her eyes glowed with yellow light. "Scared, Jesse? You better be because the last thing you'll ever see is my face as you die."

Cassie sprinted towards Jesse as he quickly blocked her strike with his torch. "Please Cassie, I don't want to fight!" he pleaded, narrowly avoiding her deadly blade of her diamond axe. "Oh sorry Jesse," she kicked him in the stomach, sending him flying backwards.

Jesse hit the wall and slid to the ground, holding his stomach. "Because that's all I want to do. I want to kill you for taking what's rightfully mine!" she raised her axe but Jesse was faster, he quickly leapt aside and grabbed a hovering golden sword, rolling on the ground before standing up, ready to fight.

"What the-?" Cassie said as Jesse slashed a quick strike to her face, making a long mark across it. "That's what you get, Cassie Rose." he swung again, this time, pushing her closer to the wall. She growled with frustration and swung her axe at Jesse, nearly knocking the golden sword out of his hands.

They kept fighting, back and forth as diamond hit gold. "I won't. Give up." Jesse said breathlessly as he held up the sword with trembling arms. He was already so tired... maybe there was something about that white pumpkin mask which gave Cassie the ability to not feel tired.

Suddenly, Cassie managed to send Jesse to the ground with her axe, laughing. "Give up now Jesse. You've lost. No one is coming to help you." Jesse looked up at her as she held out a piece of paper, which fluttered to the ground beside him.
