Part 3, of that continued story, lost somewhere in this book.

Lukas's PoV

Lukas sighed, propping his head up with his arm. "Why are you so dumb about this? Just go up to her and ask." Aiden said, poking Lukas's arm.

To be honest, Lukas missed Jess a lot. He could literally stay up all night just thinking about her and that reluctant first kiss they had. "Why is it so hard?" Lukas groaned, hitting his head on the table and making Aiden flinch. "Just go up to her and apologise, man."Aiden dispensed more unhelpful advice once again.

Lukas looked up from his pity party and glared at the other boy, "It's difficult, you idiot. You just go up to girls and ask them out. Me? I'm just a big mess." Lukas continued hitting his head on the table. "Dude, the more you hit your head, the more brain cells you lose. Unless you have any in the first place." Aiden whispered.

"I heard that," Lukas grumbled, now rubbing his red marker forehead. Lukas sighed, "It's been four weeks. And she's never once looked at me."

"Despite the fact you told her that you'll never think of her again and she should go away?" Aiden said. Lukas sighed. "You're no help, you dummy."

Aiden held up his hands and walked over to the fridge to bring out a glass of milk. "I say that you pick up your skinny ass and talk to her again. I'll be there for backup." Aiden said, holding up his pointer finger.

"Yeah, you'll be there to object to everything I say and make stupid comments. Thanks."

"No problem."

"Aiden, this is serious." Lukas muttered, running a hand through his messy blond hair. Aiden sighed, "Don't make me go all commando on you."

Lukas looked up at Aiden, wondering what was commando mode. "What's that?" he asked curiously. Aiden raised an eyebrow and dropped his milk onto the table. Miraculously, it landed upright. "Lets go." he said simply, grabbing Lukas's arm and pulling him off the chair.

"Wait- what?" Lukas yelped, his feet stumbling to catch up with Aiden as he dragged him outside. Aiden just trudged ahead, not even caring that Lukas was practically dragging his feet across the ground as they walked to school.

"Aiden- no- what if she sees me?" Lukas swallowed, "That's the point, idiot."

Lukas yanked his hand away from Aiden, angry tears starting to form in his eyes. "I said, NO!" he yelled, making everyone in the vicinity look over at them. Aiden sighed. "See now?" he said as a teacher walked across to them, carrying a bunch of notebooks and pencils. "Follow me you two." she said sternly, making Lukas glare at Aiden.

"Thanks for matchmaking," Lukas muttered to Aiden, who seemed rather relaxed about their situation, despite the fact that they were heading for the councillor's office. However, when the teacher pushed open the door, Lukas saw a girl with her head on the desk and crying.

"Oh. Um.. did we interrupt?" Lukas asked, watching the familiar dark haired girl crying softly and a woman, probably the councillor, gently patting her head. "Lukas, there you are. Come on in." the councillor smiled, gesturing for Lukas to enter the room.

He awkwardly sat on the chair beside Jess, who seemed to have frozen when she heard Lukas's name. "So I'm sure you know why you're here." The councillor, who's name seemed to be Miss Simmons as stated on her badge, said. "No." Lukas said truthfully.

"No? Well, I'm here to tell you then." Miss Simmons said, holding her hands together. Lukas wondered how much Jess had paid her to do this, making Lukas feel rather guilty the moment he thought of that. "Miss Simmons... I'll just say it myself." Jess muttered, looking up at Lukas.

Lukas felt his stomach turn over when Jess looked at him with those green eyes of hers. "I'm really sorry Lukas." she said, "I shouldn't have stayed away from you. I was just scared."

Lukas didn't know if he should forgive her or not. Maybe he should, but he still disliked her. "Jess," he said quietly. "Lets just be friends."

"Miss Simmons," Lukas stood up, "Thank you for your time. But I have to move on. I have somewhere else to go." Lukas decided that maybe it was best if he just let Jess go. "You don't have to apologise Jess." You have to. "Really. It's not your fault." It was. "Lets just stay friends, okay?" he smiled.

Miss Simmons nodded, letting Lukas head out the door. But the moment Lukas stepped outside, he dropped his smile and sighed. It was for the best if he let her go. He had to keep repeating that.

"So how was it?" Aiden asked Lukas, who hesitated.

"We're cool."
