The Wrong Chord (LukasxPetra) (Short) 😅

Lukas's PoV

Lukas watched as Petra sat on the fence, strumming a guitar over and over again, with her face scrunched up in concentration. He looked down at his book and listened.

She kept playing that same chord over and over again, each time sounding more different than the last. "Ugh." she groaned with frustration and placed down the guitar.

Lukas looked over at her again and felt the wind gently blow his hair across his face. Both of them were at the park by coincidence but Petra didn't even notice Lukas. Lukas however... did. He loved the way she played the instrument. Lukas gently closed his book and watched as Petra picked up the guitar again.

She strummed it once and it went off key again, making her sigh.

"You're playing it wrongly." Lukas blurted out. She jumped and nearly fell off the fence she was perched on. She looked at him, with an annoyed look. "Of course I know it's wrong. You don't have to tell me." she said to him as Lukas approached her.

"Try spreading your fingers across wider." he instructed her, pointing to the fret. She looked down at her fingers and did as she was told. "Okay, now strum." he said.

And she did. They smiled as she played the chord correctly. "Thank you." she said, looking over at him. "I... don't even know your name." she said, laughing a little.

Lukas held out a hand. "Lukas."

"Petra." she shook his hand.

After that day, both of them met up in the park, each time, Lukas taught Petra how to play the chords correctly, teaching her tips on how to hold the guitar. And usually afterwards, they would part ways.

"And now change it to a A minor." Lukas said to Petra as she stuck her tongue out in concentration. "And there you go." he sat back as she played the whole song.

Petra sighed and relaxed against the fence. "Thank goodness." she said tiredly, looking at the sunset in front of them. "Why?" Lukas asked, picking up his book again.

She shrugged. "It's my boyfriend. He loves this song. And it took me so long just to learn it." she silently strummed the guitar. But Lukas felt like a small part of him just shattered. Truthfully. He had a crush on Petra for the longest time.

Even before all this. That was how he knew her name. But she didn't even know his. Lukas shook his head a little. He knew he had no chance with Petra.

"What's wrong?" Petra's voice.

"N-nothing.. it's fine." Lukas said, smiling at the girl. She smiled back and played the song again. But now... that song was going to haunt Lukas forever. Now every time he heard that song... he was going to be reminded of Petra.

"Well, I have to go now..." Petra told Lukas, who nodded and continued to sit on the fence. Petra shot him a small smile, oblivious to his sadness.

"See you around." she waved goodbye.

Lukas nodded again and looked at the sunset, with tears in his eyes.
