Sighing as she listened to her mother ramble on about how it was nice to be back in Barcelona, Daniella Franca smiled at her little sister Rosalyn; who was sitting quietly on the couch.

The older brunette brushed some of her brown hair from her brown eyes as she sat next to the little girl; the family were just returning to Barcelona after they had lived in Valencia for ten years.

“Have you picked your room yet?” Daniella asked making her sister look at her and shake her head, the older brunette sighed and cuddled her little sister, she was all too aware what this was about.

Having now graduated from university and wanting her own freedom, Daniella was moving into an apartment across town with some friends instead of moving into the new family home.

“I won’t be far… plus you’ll see me all the time,” Daniella said as she tried to reassure her little sister, who cuddled into her side; the two had always been close, with the brunette often having to watch her little sister when their parents were at work.

“I know,” Rosalyn said softly as their elder brother entered the room, he was doing most of the heavy lifting. Their mother, Rebecca, followed after him and directed him to where she wanted the boxes before she moved to speak with her two daughters.

“So what do you think?” Rebecca asked excitedly as she looked between the two of them, Daniella smiled at her knowing that her mother had wanted the move to go as easy as possible.

“It’s nice,” Daniella said making her mother grin as her father entered the room; he nodded once then he walked away making Rosalyn and Daniella look at their mother confused, making her bit her lip.

“So how’s your apartment?” Rebecca asked quickly changing the subject, however even the children knew that something was going on between their parents; no matter how much the couple denied it.

“It’s nice… we are about a ten minute walk from Camp Nou,” Daniella said making her mother smile, the brunette had been lucky when she had received a job offer from Barcelona CF to work as the personal assistant to Sandro Rosell; who was the current President of the club.

“That’s great, how are Victoria and Zoey?” Rebecca asked as she watched her daughter, she was a little upset that her oldest daughter had left home and was now living with her friends across the city.

“They’re good... we’re actually going out for lunch later,” Daniella said making her mother frown; she knew her daughter was growing up but she wasn’t ready to let her go.

Climbing out of bed, the vampire glanced at the vampiress that he had spent the night with; he stretched as he moved towards the balcony of his hotel room, wanting nothing more than to get away from her.

He leaned back on the balcony rail and sighed as his blue eyes looked out at the city that the Spaniard had called home for four years.

“Come back to bed,” the vampiress purred as she wrapped her arms around him waist and dropped her hands lowered making him snarl; she smirked as she moved to stand in front of him.

“Gerard,” she said making the male vampire growl at her, he couldn’t believe that he had done this again allowed the temptress to seduce him into betraying his memory of Catharine.

“Go home Sierra,” Gerard said as he pushed her away and headed back into the hotel room as he started to get dressed so that he could leave.

The red haired vampiress frowned as she followed after him; she had no intentions of letting Gerard leave that easily.

“Let it go the human is dead and has been for centuries,” Sierra purred making the Spaniard hiss at her; she didn’t have the right to speak about Catharine, no one did.

“You have no right to speak about Catharine… she was ten times the person you are,” he said as he backed Sierra into the wall, he didn’t like hearing about his lost love especially not having broken his promise.

Sierra licked her lips as she smirked, her green eyes meeting with his blue ones as she tried to lean up and kiss him; however Gerard wrapped a hand around her throat.

Gerard watched her for a moment then he shook his head and walked away from her, collecting his jacket and pulling it on he didn’t look at her. Sierra smiled coyly as she watched him.

“I’ll see you soon Gerard,” she called making him stiffen as he reached the door and paused.

Taking a deep breath, he ripped the door open and stepped out of the hotel room and slammed the door behind him; Sierra smirked as she moved to start getting dressed.

Sierra knew just how to push Gerard’s buttons when it came to getting what she wanted, even after a hundred years; it was her that he spent most of his nights with while he forged a life in the public eye as Gerard Piqué the defender for Barcelona football club.

Holding back a laugh, Daniella watched as Zoey pouted at her two friends as they sat in a restaurant enjoying lunch together; the brunette was wearing a grey sleeveless smock dress paired with black wedge shoes.

“Come on Zoey… it wasn’t that bad,” Victoria teased as she brushed her black hair out of her brown eyes; the brunette across from her rolled her blue eyes as she tried to ignore her two friends teasing.

“I disagree… Vicky it couldn’t have been worse,” Daniella teased as she wiped tears from her eyes from all the laughing that they had done; Victoria smirked in agreement as she picked up her glass of white wine.

“How about a toast to the three of us… to brand new starts, amazing new jobs and the best of friends,” she said making the other two women smile as they lifted their glasses of wine to hers and clinked them together.

They laughed softly as the three of them continued to enjoy their meal; Daniella shivered making her friends look at her oddly.

“Somebody just walked over my grave…” Daniella joked causing Victoria and Zoey to laugh however the brunette just smiled, it had been happening a lot lately and with her strange dreams, it was starting to worry her.

“I forgot to tell you, I got us tickets for this tour around Sagrada Família for tomorrow,” Victoria said excited since she had never been to Barcelona before and the tickets were expensive.

“I have heard so much about that,” Zoey said clapping her hands excitedly, making Daniella look at her confused; of course, she had heard of the Sagrada Família but she wondered why it rang a bell in her mind.

“The Sagrada Família was meant to have been commissioned by a rich nobleman in memory of his lover who was executed… apparently she’s buried inside the Sagrada Família,” Zoey said making Daniella quirk an eyebrow as her desert was delivered.

Victoria grinned as she looked between her two friends, she never looked a gift horse in the mouth.

“Well we have tickets for the exclusive tour that passes by her crypt,” Victoria said as she took a bite of her cake; Daniella looked at her as she feel a chill at her friend’s words and it put her on edge.
