Chapter 12: Meet Her Parents
Bryan's POV:
Ugh. Ang sakit ng ulo ko. What happened?
I stood up and saw two bottles of beer, scattered popcorn on the floor and an empty box of pizza. Haays........
Did I drank beer last night? I can't even remember. I decided to jump out of bed and walked until the bathroom. I was drunk based on how I walk until the bathroom door. Pagewang-gewang eh.
My eyes were still half open. What time did I sleep last night? Hangover is a bitch people. Avoid it.
I looked at myself in the mirror before taking a cold shower. Nakita kong five pa lang naman ng umaga ngayon eh. I finished taking a bath and went out to wear some of the clothes outside.
I stick with the hooded gray sweater with a HAVE A GOOD TIME print in front of it. I partnered it with a pair of denim ripped jeans. I also saw one pair of converse shoes and wore it. I went out the guest room quietly and headed to the kitchen.
Doon ko nakita yung maid na nagpapasok saakin.
"Good morning po...." I greeted her once she saw me entered the kitchen
"Magandang umaga rin saiyo hijo. Ang aga pa para umalis ka. Hintayin mo na lang muna si Amber bago ka umalis" she said and I smiled to her
"Hindi pa ho ako aalis. Ipagluluto ko sana si Amber for comforting me last night" I said and she smiled to me sweetly
"Natatandaan ko pa nung bata yan si Amber. Tanging si Denise lamang ang dinadala niya rito. Pero ngayon....nandito ka na hijo. Ano nga palang pangalan mo?" tanong nito saakin
"Bryan po"
"Bryan, napakamaginoong pangalan. Alagaan mo si Amber ng mabuti ha? O, siya, magluto ka na rito bago pa magising iyon. Tawagin mo na lamang ako kung kailangan mo ng tulong ko." she said which I responded with a nod and smile
I wore the apron I saw on the kitchen cabinet and started cooking. I chose to cook her a fried rice with egg, hotdog and other vegetables. This is what I like the most in mornings. Mom always cook me this once I started walking down the stairs.
I delivered the food until the dining room and prepared three plates, forks, spoons, knife and six glass for the juice and he water. That's what the riches' menu are in the morning. I also put some sliced breads and one jar of Nutella in the middle of the table.
I smiled and took a picture of it. I accidentally took it with me. I went back to the kitchen to get the juice and the water and put the apron back to where it was.
I stepped out the kitchen and I was almost shocked to death when I saw someone seating on the chairs.
"Ang sarap ng luto mo ngayon Manang Fe, anong recipe ba to?" tanong ng babae na nakaupo sa dining table
She is wearing an all white business suit. From her blazer until her pumps lahat color white. Her hair is just like Amber's. Wavy and very black.
"Ahh.... hindi ho ako ang nagluto, kagabi ho kasi may pumunta ditong bisita ni Amber. Problemado ata kaya pagod na pagod. Ayaw naman ni Amber na pauwiin yun kasi gabing-gabi na noon kaya pinatulog na lamang niya ito sa guest room. Siya ho yung nagluto bilang pasasalamat raw." mahabang paliwanag ni Manang Fe
"Pumunta ba rito si Denise? Hindi naman yun marunong magluto ah...." the man beside the lady said
He is also wearing a corporate attire. A black tuxedo. Judging by his looks, he's a business man.
"Ah! Hindi po si Ma'am Denise. Iba po" sabi ni Manang and that made their eyebrows creased in confusion
That is when I decided to show up.
"Good morning ho...." I said and they turned their gazes on me
"Good.....morning" tila parang surprised na sambit ng babae
She stared at me for awhile and she coughed and went back to herself.
"Anyways, good morning ulit. I'm Angeline Aguilar, mother of Amber. May I know what's your name young boy?" tanong nito and I smiled
"Pierce Bryan Villegas po...." I said and the man beside her chuckled
"A Villegas! What a coincidence! In fact I'm going to meet with your father today for some business matter.......well! This is news, I should say. Nga pala, Reynaldo Aguilar and good morning" he said and smiled
"What are you shouting for early in the morning?....Mom, Dad? Waaah!!!!" Amber said and ran towards her parents for a hug
"Bubbles!" her father exclaimed and Amber made face
"Stop calling me that Dad" she said but hugged her father anyway
Watching them hugging each other is so heartwarming. I wish palagi kaming may oras para sa mga ganyan. But Dad doesn't have time.
"There's news! I barely believe. You have a friend here, might as well introduce us to each other properly" her father said and Amber looked at me
"Oh! Yes, yes! Mom, Dad this is Bryan. My friend. Bryan meet my ever so beautiful Mom and ever so loving Dad" she said and bowed my head
"Nice to meet you po" I said
"It's our pleasure" her Mom said and Manang Fe interrupted
"Lumalamig na ho yung pagkain." pagpapaalala niya saamin and we headed to the dining table
Manang Fe got one more plate and some utensils for me and doon na ako kumain ng breakfast.
After that ay umalis na yung parents ni Amber. May gagawin pa daw sa company eh. We both said goodbye to her parents and she smiled at me when she caught me staring at her.
"That kid was cute. Is he your brother?" she asked and my brows creased
"Who?" I asked and she fished out my phone from her pocket and I saw my wallpaper
It was the time when I met Aaron. I got a very bright idea.
"Come!"
