Chapter 34: Hi Mom!
Amber's POV
I slumped my back in the hard wood of my chair. I really hate school days. Pero at least, tapos na yung Finals and the results are now out.
Masaya ako dahil I'm on the Top 2 spot of the whole Architecture students' ranking based on the Finals. But I wouldn't be proud enough of Bryan. Of course, my boyfriend will always be the best.
He's Top 1!
Yep! Proud na proud ako ngayon sa kanya dahil at least alam kong nag-aaral siya ng mabuti.
Pumikit ako sandali at hinintay ang Go sign ni Denise. Nang binuksan ko ang mga mata ko, nakataas na ang kilay ni Denise.
"Fine! You can make alis na!" inis niyang sambit but I hugged her
"Love you Denise!" I shouted before leaving the room at naglakad papuntang parking lot
Nang dumating ako sa parking lot, nakita ko na si Bryan. He was meaning comfortably on the hood of his car and on his hands was his phone.
I walked towards him to break the distance and he finally noticed me. Ngumiti siya sa akin. That heart melting smile of him. I smiled back at tinulungan niya akong sumakay ng kotse. He opened the door for me and entered the driver's seat.
Sinuot ko na yung seatbelt at huminga ng malalim. He held my hands and I could feel the warmth coming from his hands.
"Nervous?" tanong niya sa akin at tumango lang ako
"Don't be nervous babe. You are just going to see her and talk to her. She's not gonna eat you or something. Kalma. Mahal kita" he teased and I glared at him
"I......I'm just not used to this. Kilala niya naman ako diba? Are we really doing this?" tanong ko at ngumiti kang siya
"I'll bring you to the cafe first then? You might need to calm down a bit." he asked and I sighed again
Nagsimula na siyang mag-drive while listening to a calm music. He then pulled over and opened the door at my right.
"Coffee for my princess?" tanong niya and I smiled awkwardly
"Stop it" I ordered and punched his shoulders lightly
Tumawa lang siya at sumunod na sa akin. Dahil Medyo shaky pa ako, he was the one who ordered. Pinaupo niya na lang ako sa dating spot namin and let me read some books.
Pagbalik niya, he was holding a box of choco butternut donuts.
"Asan yung kape?" tanong ko at umupo na siya sa harap ko
"Will follow" simpleng sagot niya at binuksan na ang box
He shoved it towards me and I was more willing to devour those donuts. I started munching the donuts nervously when Bryan stopped my hands midway from feeding my mouth.
"You're still a baby, aren't you? My baby in exact." he said and wiped the dirt on my cheeks
"I'm sorry. I'm just nervous." sagot ko at ngumiti lang siya
Minutes later, we heard Bryan's name and he went to the counter to get the coffees he ordered. He gave me the hot choco and he started sipping on his frappe.
Naubos ko na lahat ng order ni Bryan at tumayo na siya. Sumunod na kang ako kahit ang lamig pa ng kamay ko. I'm nervous, okay?!
Alam ko na this is not the first time na makikita ko siya but I'm nervous! Ayoko na.
"Mom texted. She said that she is already in the mall eating her favorite macaroons. We better hurry up. Babe?" tawag niya sa akin
And that made me stir back from my deep thoughts. I blinked several times before nodding.
Bryan walked towards me and cupped my cheeks. He smiled reassuringly and kissed my forehead. I pouted pero tinawanan niya lang ako.
"Good luck kiss ko para sayo. She's just gonna talk to you. Don't be nervous babe. Baka mahimatay ka, tandaan mo mamahalin pa kita ha?" Bryan teased and I glared before hitting his shoulders
"Kinakabahan na nga ako dito tapos nagawa mo pang asarin ako? I hate you!" sigaw ko sa kanya bago sumakay sa kotse
Pumasok na si Bryan sa driver's seat at ngumiti sa akin bago nagsalita.
"I love you so much" 5 words that melted my nervousness
Somehow, I managed to calm down hanggang sa makaabot kami sa mall. Papunta na kami sa sweet pastry shop kung nasaan ang mommy ni Bryan.
Oo. We are meeting up with his Mom. Though alam ko naman na mabait siya but what if ayaw niya sa akin? What if may iba siyang gusto para kay Bryan? What if......
"Stop it, honey. You're over thinking again." he said and I just smiled
Pumasok na kami sa shop and there sat his Mom. Dressed in a simple cream colored suit and a fashionable bag on her side. She is munching on her macaroons when Bryan approached her.
"Mom!" he called at tumayo ang kanyang Mommy para salubungin si Bryan ng yakap
"Oh, my dear son. What took you so long? My feet were itching to roam around. Now, where is my lovely soon to be daughter in law?" she asked and I smiled awkwardly
"Oh, deary. What beauty you possessed. I really like that top of yours." she started and I smiled
This time it was genuine.
Hindi pa man ako nakakapagsalita, his Mom hugged me. I hugged her back hesitantly.
"You can leave us two" his Mom said to Bryan
"What? No, Mom. I'm going to stay by Amber's side." he said and held my hands
His Mom smiled and nodded.
"Great then! We might need someone to carry everything we will buy anyway. Now come on, Amber dear. Let's start this shopping." his Mom said and Bryan snorted
"Just as I thought. Iwan na kaya natin si Mommy?" Bryan said and I glared at him
"Ang sama mo! Halika na! Your Mom is waiting for us." I said and pulled him to his Mom
"Now, dear. Where to first?" she asked me while glancing from one boutique to another
"Forever 21 po Uhmm......." I trailed off when I don't know what to call her
"Tita. Tita Bettina would be great. But you can call me Mommy whenever you want!" she happily said and I blushed
"Mom! Stop teasing her." Bryan said and Tita Bettina rolled her eyes
"Ewan ko sayo. Forever 21, right deary?" tanong niya sa akin and I nodded
"Then Forever 21 it is." she announced and led us to the store
