A SINGLE CHANCE

Chapter 13: What's Going On?

Third Person's POV:

After Mr. and Mrs. Aguilar finished eating their breakfast they decided to bid goodbye to their daughter, Amber and to its new found friend, Bryan.

Both couple thinks that Bryan is a good young boy and it won't be any issue for them if he will get attached to Amber but what confused them is how? How did that boy managed to be friends with Amber when there is something going on in the first place?

"I was wondering....." Angeline Aguilar aka Mrs. Aguilar started

Her husband looked at her and asked,

"What?"

"Isn't it too suspicious? How that Bryan and Amber became friends is too.....flabbergasting. Like, I can't believe it! For the first time...our daughter..." Mrs. Aguilar stopped midway her sentence because her eyes are welling up with tears and Mr. Aguilar instantly hugged his wife

"Ssh....we should be happy for her. Right? You shouldn't think about that anymore. Mas mabuti nga yun diba? Our daughter is starting to build her own circle of friends and Bryan will be the first one. Don't worry, I trust that boy. He's a Villegas remember? And Villegas' would always be Villegas. Now, pupunta pa tayo kay Paolo for our meeting." his husband said and they went back to being silent inside their car

Kahit sobrang busy nina Mr and Mrs Aguilar they always make time for their only daughter, Amber. They love her so much to the point that they can give up millions of pesos for her but money won't do anything. Cause there is still no sign of hope for their daughter. Only prayers will for now.

Bryan's POV:

"Saan ba tayo pupunta?" Amber asked for the tenth time

"Basta. Just sit there and relax, okay? I'm not a kidnapper." I said and chuckled

We are currently inside my car and I am planning to introduce Amber to Aaron. She loves kid. They might get along well. But first, I need to bake something for Aaron because I promised him that when we meet next time, I'll give him cupcakes. I planned on baking different cupcakes.

He is a kid to start from and kids like sweets. Like how I love them.

In just a minute we arrived at our house.

"Where are we? Bahay----no, scratch that. Mansion niyo to?" she asked while looking around

"Secret" I playfully said and winked which made her frowned

I went down the car and opened the door for Amber. She went out and she was more mesmerized by our house.

"Ang ganda ng bahay niyo! I like how the garden gives glow to the exterior of the house. Are those....daisies?" she asked

"Nope" I said and she pouted

"Too bad....I like daisies. But, why are we here anyway? I don't remember anything that I should be coning here with you." she said and gave me a curious look

"Just don't be a slowpoke because you're going to meet someone, who is cute....." I said and before I could finish describing Aaron she squealed with excitement

She really likes cute stuffs. One thing I like about her. I chuckled at the thought.

Anyways, I walked towards he entrance of the house and I saw Manang curdled up on a corner watching her favorite movie....that she had watched for billions of times. I don't even know the title of that cliché drama but she loves it. At ayan na naman siya, crying like it's the end of the world. Psh. I should buy her another pack of tissues later. She'll be needing it. I'm sure.

Dahil busy si Manang sa panonood, she didn't saw us so we headed to the kitchen. I m sure I still have ingredients for my cupcakes.

"We're going to bake?" Amber asked and I nodded

She yelped and clapped her hands while I wear her an apron.

"So.....where is that cute baby? I wanna see him! Can we walk faster? Pretty pretty pretty please?" she said and I chuckled

"Of course. Atat mo" I said and she pulled me faster so that I can catch up with her pace

She is running actually. Ang bilis niya nga eh. Didn't expected it. In no time, we arrived at the park. And I'm right, Aaron's playing with his Yaya again.

Aaron turned his head to my direction when his Yaya pointed to me and he happily ran towards me.

"Slow down, Aaron...." I said while laughing and Aaron hugged me

I was listening to Aaron's stories when I saw Amber smiling excitedly.

"I almost forgot! I'm with someone....." I said and Amber showed her face to Aaron

"Aaron, meet Ate Amber. Amber, here's Aaron" I said and Aaron looked at Amber suspiciously

"Hi!" Amber greeted with a bright smile on her face

"Ate Amber. Gusto Ate Amber" I heard Aaron said and he reached for Amber

I gave Aaron to Amber who happily accepted the young boy in her arms and they played happily around the park.

"Ang swerte mo sa nobya mo iho. Napakagandang bata ire.....bagay kayo" I heard Aaron's Yaya said and I smiled at her in reply

I took out my camera and took memories I know that would be a treasure not just for me, but also for Amber.

"Aaron! Kainin mo na itong cupcakes na dala ni Kuya Bryan. Kakainin ko 'to Sige ka!" pananakot ni Manang sa bata kung kaya ay tumakbo si Aaron papalapit saakin dahil hawak ko yung box ng cupcakes

We sat on a blanket which Aaron is playing minutes ago and there we had our mini picnic. Aaron was so so happy.

This is what I dreamt of......to have a family in which you are close to each other. And that's what a kind of family I promised myself to build. I hope I can fulfill it.
