Chapter 41: I need you

Amber's POV
  It was summer and all I could do was to sit around the house and watch any movie.

I lazily put some popcorn in my mouth and stared at the movie I was watching. It was an anime movie that I have already watched for a million times. I gave up and stood up.

Nabubulok na ako dito sa bahay. I'll text Bryan na lang kaya? For sure papayag yun kung aayain ko siyang lumabas. Pero ayoko din namang makaistorbo if ever na may ginagawa siya. Should I call or text him na lang? Kung magtetext ako ano naman ang itetext ko?

As I was thinking kung ano ang itetext ko my phone vibrated.

It was from Bryan! I jumped with glee and opened his message. I sat on my bed and smiled eventually when his text message showed.

Bryan:

Let's go on a date babe. I'm dying to see you. Wear something that will fit well with this weather, okay? Ayokong pagpawisan ka. I love you <3

I smiled and decided to take a quick bath. I dried my hair with the hair dryer and made it wavy.

I chose a vertically striped black and white romper with a spaghetti strap. I partnered it with my white shoes. Asan ba yung wallet ko? I looked for my wallet and gladly I found it on my drawer. Kinuha ko ang white sling bag and waited for Bryan to arrive.

"Why are you always so pretty?" Bryan asked and I just rolled my eyes

"Ewan ko sayo" sabi ko at umupo sa front seat

I put on my seatbelt and scanned what Bryan was wearing. He was as handsome as ever. He was wearing a white polo shirt that is tucked inside his black  shorts. He was also wearing a white sneakers and his sunglass was on the dashboard.

"Gwapo ka naman ngayon eh kaya ang unfair kung hindi ako maganda ngayon." I stated and Bryan just chuckled

"Fine babe. Whatever makes you happy." Bryan said at tumawa pa siya

We arrived at a historical ruins shortly and I was at awe. Ang ganda dito!

"Halika babe. Pumasok na tayo. I know you'll love it here." Bryan announced and I happily followed him

While walking he held my hands and I didn't protested. Bryan told me that he'll be more happy if I let him take pictures of me.

Halos isang oras din yung mini pictorial namin ni Bryan and we went to a resto nearby.

"Babalik pa ba tayo doon?" I asked

"Kung gusto mo then we'll come back there" sagot niya at tumango ako

"First let's eat food Amber. I don't want to starve you." sabi niya sa akin

I obliged kasi gutom na rin naman ako.

"Anong gusto mong kainin?" he asked at tiningnan ko ang menu

"Just a salad, a serving of fried chicken and fries. And oh! I'd like an iced tea and a glass of water. That's all"

"How about desserts, babe? Masarap ang tiramisu nila dito. I want you to taste it kasi palagi ko yung inoorder kapag pumupunta kami dito nina mom." Bryan said and I thought about it

I was actually planning for a diet but I think it'll be pushed aside again. Oh well.

"Okay. Isang tiramisu na din since you recommended it." sabi ko at ngumiti

Our orders arrived and we ate peacefully. When I finished eating bumalik nga kami doon at umalis din after isang oras.

Sinuot ko ang seat belt at tumingin kay Bryan. He was busy on his phone and later on he smiled.

"Saan tayo pupunta?" tanong ko at ngumiti siya

He showed me his phone and a photo of an interesting adventure park came into view.

"Let's to on a treasure hunt. We can try their maze there. Sabi maganda daw at exciting" he said and I just nodded

"Tara na, babe. I'm excited to find all the treasures!" he exclaimed at sumunod ako

Excited din ako kasi first time ko itong matatry. Bryan led me inside the maze.

Hawak hawak ko ang isang basket para paglagyan ng kung ano man na mahahanap namin. We were busy roaming around the maze when my heart beat increased rapidly.

Anong.......anong nangyayari?

Hindi pa naman ako pagod ah! What is wrong with me? I held on to my chest tighter when my breathing changed. Nahihirapan na akong huminga.

I looked at Bryan who is busy looking at the map the park ranger gave us. Kahit nahihirapan akong huminga I still tried to walk.

Then my visit to the doctor flashed to my mind. Is this.....the end?

Well, after kong bumisita sa doctor nagkaroon ulit ako ng chest pains. Ibang klaseng chest pains. It wasn't mild kasi napakasakit talaga. I thought I was dying everytime it attacks. Pero.......pero akala ko okay na eh.

Mas dumagdag yung mga meds ko at iniinom ko naman lahat. Though these past few days nararamdaman ko nang madali na talaga.

Every night magigising na lang ako dahil hindi na ako makahinga. Every time I open my eyes I'd try to catch my breathe.

Hindi yun alam nina Mom and Dad. The doctor did not told them about my condition. He fulfilled his promise and I'm happy about that. Kaya kapag inaatake ako pupunta ako sa room ko at magkukulong. I'd lie to Mom at sasabihing natulog lang ako.

I looked at Bryan again at busy pa rin siya sa pagtingin sa map. I walked towards him and he saw me struggling.

"Babe? Babe! Are you okay? Anong masakit sayo? Babe answer me!" Bryan shouted

I saw that he dropped the map and started examining me. I held onto his arms and felt my knees went weak. Bryan held me onto his arms and caressed my face.

I'm sweating bullets right now kasi ang sakit na talaga. My eyes are barely open at hinahabol ko ang aking paghinga.

"Babe. Please! Hang in there. Dadalhin kita sa ospital. Babe, don't give up on me. Please?" Bryan desperately said and lifted me up

He ran his way to the car and settled me at the backseat.

"I........"

"Yes babe? Ano yun? Tell me kung anong kailangan mo. I'll give it to you" Bryan said

"Need........"

I hugged Bryan with the strength left in me. I caressed his hair and smiled.

"You......."

"I'll always be here for you no matter what happens, babe. So please, don't leave me now okay?"
