Your P.O.V

2018 was off to a great start until the beginning of July. You had lost your job and the worst thing of all your brother passed away sadly. 

There were times where you couldn't talk anymore but just wanted to roll up and cry. Sadly, you couldn't do that. Your mom took the news horribly and you needed to be there for her and your two little siblings, Avery and Anna. They are 10 and 11 so they did need someone to be with them and you volunteered.

The news was hard on them as well but they tried their best to support their mother just like you. Fortunately, Niall was with you taking care of your family. You couldn't be more grateful for him. He is such a blessing and you don't know what you did to deserve him.

''Anna, Avery! c'mon its bedtime.'' you called.

Fifteen minutes later both of them were ready and went off to bed. You kissed each of them on their foreheads and walked towards the door when suddenly your sister called you.

''Y/N?'' Anna called.

You turned around, ''Yeah?''

She looked at you for a couple of seconds and asked,

 ''Do you miss Y/B/N (your brother's name)?''

You walked back and sat down on the foot of the bed.

 ''I do, An. Very much. But I am happy he went to heaven because he was suffering a lot. I'm happy he's not in pain anymore and he's with daddy. I miss him a lot and I wish he was here.'' 

You smiled tears gathering up in your eye. She nodded and smiled.

''I miss him too.'' She said turning on her side and closing her eyes.

You turned off the lights and went downstairs to see Niall sitting on the couch with his guitar and his music journal.

''Hey Ni.'' You smiled sitting down beside him.

''Hey Love.'' He smiled moving over.

''You writing a new song?'' you asked.

''Mhm do you wanna hear it? I'm not done yet though.''

You love when Niall writes a song and asks you to listen to it first. 

''Of course, I'd love to!'' You smiled.

He took his guitar and started strumming.

You keep saying that you're alright
But I can see it through the fake smile, you're not

He sang the last part and took you in for a hug.

''You know you don't always have to be so strong, right? It's normal to let go sometimes. You need to let go, Y/N. You need to grieve. You need to accept the fact that he's gone to yourself and not to just the kids. It's okay to break, princess.'' Niall whispered slowly

You couldn't hold it back anymore. You had to break. You have been strong for so long that you can't do it anymore.

''I miss him, Ni. I can't let him go. He died! we were so close and he didn't make it through it. He is dead.'' You cried on his shoulder as he slowly drew circled on your back calming you down.

''I love you, Y/N'' he said kissing your forehead.
