Emily and Derek were driving back to the BAU. "Are you going to tell me what's going on, or are you going to snap at me again?" Derek asked and Emily sighed. "I didn't mean to, it's complicated." Emily replied and Derek nodded. "Of course." Derek commented. "I just have a lot on my plate right now, Morgan." Emily told him. "But we're a team, and more important then that is we're a family. We are here for each other through thick and thin, no matter what happens. That's what a family does." Derek told her and she sighed. "I'm still learning." Emily commented and Derek looked at her. "What do you mean?" Derek asked and Emily sighed. "Before the BAU, I had my mom and all, but we weren't much of a family. I was always on my own and I never had anyone. I never trusted anyone or really loved anyone. Then I joined the BAU, and that was the best thing that has ever happened to me. But I'm still learning what it means to be part of a family like this." Emily explained. "I'm so sorry." Derek apologized. "Don't be, I'm use to it." Emily told him as she looked down and he looked at her sadly.
They stopped when they saw a group of men run out of a house. They quickly got their guns ready and got out of the car. "Stop! FBI!" Derek yelled. They kept running and Emily and Derek followed. Emily shot one of the guy's ankle and he fell. He got back up and ran to the others. The head guy shot him dead and they drove off. Derek looked at thw van drive away as Emily checked the boy. She took off his mask and gasped as Derek looked at her. "He's just a kid." Emily told him. "It wasn't your fault." Derek told her and she sighed. "I wish I knew that." Emily commented and Derek sighed. He examined the body and looked at Emily's bullet wound on the ankle. "Is that a tattoo?" Derek asked and Emily looked at it. "Yeah." Emily replied.
Spencer was drawing a picture of the tattoo. Derek took a picture and showed him. Emily was at her desk, which is next to his. "How are you doing?" Spencer asked as he kept drawing. "Oh, uh. Yeah. I just wish everyone stopped asking me that." Emily replied. "Sorry, I just noticed you were biting your nails again." Spencer commented and Emily sighed as she took her hand away from her mouth. "Just an old habit." Emily told him. "An old, nervous habit." Spencer commented and Emily stood up. "I'm going to get some coffee." Emily told him and walked away.
Spencer finally finished his drawing and examined it. Emily walked back over and put the coffee on her desk. "I figured it out." Spencer replied. "Let me see." Emily told him and he nodded as he handed her the notebook. She gasped when she saw the realistic drawing of a four leaf clover. "What is it?" Spencer asked as he stood up. "Nothing, it's just really good." Emily replied and Spencer smiled. "Thank you." Spencer commented and Emily nodded. "You're very welcome." Emily told him.
The rest of the team came up to them. "It's a four leaf clover." Spencer commented as Emily handed it to Aaron. "It must have a meaning to it." JJ mentioned. Penelope walked up and looked at it. She took it from him and examined it. "I can scan this threw my computer and see what I can find out." Penelope offered. "Good, you do that. It could come in handy." Aaron agreed. Penelope nodded and left to her office.
Penelope walked out and to Aaron's office as she knocked. "Come in!" Aaron called. She walked in and saw him talking to both Emily and David. "Am I interrupting something?" Penelope asked. "Not at all." Aaron replied and Emily nodded. "The four leaf clover is the symbol to this Irish bar. Here's the address." Penelope told him as she put a slip of paper on his desk. He looked at it and nodded. "Okay. David, you are in charge around here. Emily and I are going to check this out." Aaron told him as he stood up. "Got it." David agreed. Emily gave a fake smile, not really wanting to go there again.
Aaron drove to the bar with Emily next to him. He parked the car and looked at her. "Are you okay?" Aaron asked and Emily nodded. "Of course." Emily replied. "It's just, you've been more quiet then usual." Aaron told her and she shrugged. "I'm fine." She told him. "You've been acting different lately." Aaron added. "I said I'm fine!" Emily exclaimed. She got out of the car and Aaron sighed as he got out too and into the bar.
Spencer walked into the kitchen, and Derek was already there. "Hi." Spenser greeted. "Hey, kid." Derek greeted. "Have you noticed something?" Spencer asked as he thought about the right words. "What?" Derek asked and Spencer sighed. "About Emily." Spencer replied. "Yes. She's been acting really weird." Derek told him. "She's biting her nails again." Spencer commented. "She's not sleeping, not eating. She's been extra secretive too." Derek told him and Spencer nodded. "We should ask Hotch. If anyone knows, it would be him." Spencer suggested and Derek nodded. "Yes, but we need to talk to the others first. See if it's just us or not, that way we won't worry Hotch if it's really nothing." Derek suggested and Spencer nodded. "Good idea." Spencer agreed.
Aaron was asking around the bar as Emily looked around. She hasn't been here in a long time, she really hopes that no one recognizes her. She looked at a table in the back and remembered the first time she met Ian Doyle. He liked her right away, and she conceived him really good. She knows why he wants her dead, she just hopes she can protect the ones she loves before it's too late. Aaron walked up to her. "I got nothing." Aaron told her with a sigh. Emily snapped out of her memory and looked at her boyfriend. Same here." Emily agreed. "I think they know more then they're letting on." Aaron commented as he looked around. "We should come back with a search warrant. A judge will issue one if he knows we think we have a lead, and we can bring the whole team next time." Emily suggested and Aaron nodded. "Good idea." Aaron agreed. Aaron looked around one more time and walked out. Emily stopped for a moment and looked at the back table very closely. She could almost see a different version of herself sitting there, cuddling with Doyle of all people. She sighed as she walked out as well.
