Chapter 19: Silent Treatment Part 2!

      The team parked their van outside Marcus' last known address. It was a nice house in a nice neighborhood. They all got out and their guns ready as they walked up there and barged in. They saw Marcus in his living room, who was currently strangeling another girl. "FBI!" Derek yelled. Marcus let go of the girl and started running. Aaron, Emily, Derek, and David all ran after him. JJ and Spencer stayed with the girl, who was barely alive. "Call an ambulance." JJ instructed and Spencer nodded as he did so. JJ helped the girl on the couch. "You're going to be okay. You'll live through this." JJ told the girl. Spencer walked over to her as she put her phone up. "How is she?" Spencer asked. "If the ambulance gets here fast, then she'll live." JJ replied. "Good." Spencer commented. JJ looked up at him, but he wouldn't look her in the eyes.
     The others chase Marcus as he ran out the back door. He jumped the fence and David was in the lead as they chase him past the fence and down the hill. David got closer to him and jumped him as they both fell and started rolling down the hill while the others kept running. They finally stopped rolling at the bottom of the hill and David put hancuffs on Marcus as he stood up and picked Marcus up as well. The others finally caught up to him and sighed. "Lets take him back to the car." David commented and they all nodded as they started walking back.
     David and Derek put Marcus in the car and drove him to the station. The ambulance finally got there and JJ and Spencer decided to go with her to make sure the girl was okay. Emily and Aaron walked outside and Aaron looked at Emily. Emily looked over and smiled at her boyfriend. "What?" Emily asked and Aaron shook his head. "Nothing." Aaron replied as he looked away. "Come on." Emily told him as she took his hand and started walking. "Where are we going?" Aaron asked. "We still have a couple of hours before we leave. I was thinking we could spend some alone time together." Emily replied and Aaron smiled at her. "Okay." Aaron agreed.
      David and Derek had turned Marcus in. David sighed as he started cleaning uo their work space. Derek walked in and started helping him. "How's everything with Savannah?" David asked and Derek smiled. "Really good. I was thinking about asking her to move in with me." Derek replied abd David smiled. "That's good." David commented. "And how's everything with Hayden and your little family?" Derek asked. "Couldn't be better." David replied. "Does Hayden still hate your job?" Derek asked and David sighed. "Yeah, but I hope she can get over it." David replied.
      JJ and Spencer were in the waiting room when the doctor walked in. "She'll be fine. She just needs to rest." The doctor told them and walked away. They sighed in relief. "That's good." JJ commented and Spencer sighed. "Yeah." Spencer agreed. "Are you talking to me now?" JJ asked and Spencer shrugged. "I don't know." Spencer replied. "I miss you." JJ told him and he sighed. "I miss you too, and Emily." Spencer told her. "You just got her back, don't you want to be around her now?" JJ asked and Spencer shrugged. "I don't know. I should get back to the hotel." Spencer replied and walked away from her as JJ sighed.
      They were all on a jet and they all agreed to bring their families to David's house that night to have a family dinner. Emily walked over and sat across from him, and he was reading. "Hey." Emily greeted. "Hi." Spencer greeted. "Are you coming over to Rossi's tonight?" Emily asked. "I don't know, I might be busy." Spencer replied. "Don't miss out just because I'm going." Emily told him. "I don't know." Spencer told her and she sighed as she put his book down and he looked up at her. "Promise you'll go." Emily told him and he sighed. "I'll think about it." Spencer told her and started reading again.
     The jet landed and everyone was at the BAU, getting ready to leave. David walked up to Spencer. "The invite to my house was mandatory." David told him and he sighed. "I just don't know." Spencer told him. "Look, Reid. You need to get over yourself and see what you have. You have a girlfriend and all of these friends who care about you so much." David told him. "If they cared about me, they wouldn't have put me through so much pain." Spencer commented. "Tell me this. Would you rather have Emily pretend to be dead for her protection and turn out to be alive, or have actually died?" David asked. "I suppose the first one." Spencer replied and David nodded. "Exactly." David told him.
      Emily and Aaron were in his office. "I'm surprised." Aaron told her. "About what?" Emily asked. "That your mom hasn't come by to see you alive yet." Aaron replied and Emily sighed. "Maybe that's because I didn't call her." Emily replied and Aaron gave her a look. "But I gave you her new number." Aaron told her. "You know my mom and I have issues." Emily told him. "Yeah, but I told you our conversation. She really regretted a lot." Aaron told her. "Yeah, but once she comes here she'll forget all of it. I don't think she's capable of talking about her feelings or even having feelings." Emily told him. "But she's your mom." Aaron told her. "I'm better off without her. I'll meet you in the car." Emily told her and walked out. Aaron sighed as he picked up his phone and dialled a number. "Hello, Hotch." A female voice greeted. "Hi, Ambassador Prentiss. There's something you should know." Aaron told her.
      The team brought their families to David. Everyone was there, except Spencer. He was teaching them how to properly make spaghetti. He had took a strand of noodles and had them pass it around. JJ tried to drink his wine, but David stopped her. "No wine yet, JJ." David instructed and they laughed. They heard a knock on the door and Emily answered it to find Spencer and Maeve. "Hi." Spencer greeted. "Hey." Emily greeted. They walked in and Emily closed the door. "Sorry, I'm late." Spencer commented. "Don't make a habit of it." David told him. Spencer and JJ smiled at each other. "When can we drink the wine?" Emily asked. "Soon." David replied. David kept showing them what to do. "Now can we drink the wine?" Derek asked. "Yes." David replied. They all picked up their glasses and drank. After they were done cooking, they ate the food and talked and laughed and had a really good time.
