Maeve groaned as she laid in bed. Spencer called her and she answered her phone. "Hey." Maeve greeted. "How are you doing?" Spencer asked. "Fine." Maeve replied. "I should have stayed with you." Spencer told her and she smiled. "That's sweet of you, Spence. But I'll be fine on my own, honest." Maeve told him and Spencer laughed. "Are you sure you're okay?" Spencer asked. "Yes, Spencer. I'm great." Maeve replied. "Good. This case may be easier then we thought. We already think we're getting close." Spencer told her. "Good. I miss you." Maeve told him and he smiled. "I miss you too." Spencer told her. "I'll see you once you get here." Maeve told him. "Okay." Spencer agreed and they hung up.
Emily parked her car outside the Sheriff's station in Miami. She voted put and walked in as she saw JJ right away. "Hey." Emily greeted. JJ turned her head and smiled at her friend. "Hey, you're here." JJ greeted as she stood up and gave her friend a hug. "Finally." Emily commented with a laugh as they pulled away from the hug. "So, Hotch said you guys will tell us what was going on." JJ told her and Emily smiled. "After the case." Emily told her and JJ nodded. "Okay." JJ agreed. "Aaron has already caught me up on the phone. What's next?" Emily asked. "You and I are going to the morgue." JJ replied and Emily nodded. "Lead the way." Emily agreed and they left.
Maeve opened the drawer of her bedside table. He pulled out a wallet sized picture and sighed as he looked at it. It was a picture of her dad holding her as a baby. Her mom walked out on her and her dad when she was a baby. She hasn't spoken to her dad in years, after what happened with her stalker, she had to cut ties with him.to save his life. He was stubborn, like she was, she knew he wouldn't just leave if she was in danger. So she made it seem like she didn't want him in her life, whether then to tell him she was in trouble. She misses him, but is terrified to find him. She's afraid that he will be too angry at her and won't forgive her. Maeve put the picture back and sighed as she sat up. She hates this stupid bed rest she has to do, but at the same time she wants to do what's best for her baby. So she'll suck it up and do it, anytvubg for her baby's safety.
Emily and JJ got back to the station and saw Spencer as soon as they walked in. "Hey, Em. I heard you were here." Spencer commented and Emily smiled as they hugged. "Yep, I'm here." Emily agreed. "So, what were you doing?" Spencer asked and Emily laughed. "You guys want to know everything, and you will know, but not until after the case." Emily replied. "You're really going to make us wait?" Spencer asked and Emily nodded. "Yeah, I really am." Emily replied. Spencer laughed and sighed as he playfully rolled his eyes. "If you insist." Spencer agreed. Aaron walked in and kissed Emily's cheek. "Did you guys find anything out at the morgue?" Aaron asked. "Yeah, the latest victim had the same traces of poison that makes it look like a heart attack." JJ replied and Aaron sighed. "JJ and Reid, tell the others in the work room." Aaron told them. "Okay." JJ agreed as the two of them walked off. "So?" Aaron asked. "So what?" Emily asked. "How did it go with Declan?" Aaron asked and Emily couldn't help but grin. "Very well. Declan is at our house right now with Jack and Jessica." Emily replied and Aaron smiled. "That's amazing!" Aaron exclaimed. "It is." Emily agreed. "Once we get back, we'll enroll him in school." Aaron told her and she nodded. "Okay, sounds like a plan." Emily agreed and they hugged.
Maeve heard a knock at the door. She sighed as she slowly stood up. If she is going to get up, she's going to be slow and careful. Anything to protect her twins growing inside of her. She walked down the stairs and tossed the door. She looked out the window, but didn't see anyone. She opened the door and peeked out. No one was there, but there was a small box on the porch. She picked it up and opened it. There was only one thing in it. A picture of her and her dad hugging at her graduation. She was in her cap and gown and held her diploma in her hand. They both had smiled on their faces. Then a stranger walked up to her from within the shadows. "Hello, Maeve." The man greeted. Maeve gasped as her eyes watered. She dropped the box, but kept the picture in her hand. "Daddy?" Maeve asked.
Maeve gasped as she sat up in her bed. She was breathing heavily as sweat poured down her skin. It was dark in her bedroom, and the moon light barely shone in from the closed window. She stood up.and walked up the the window. She looked out and didn't see anything but the darkness. No box, no picture, and no man. She sighed as she sat back down on the edge of her bed and put her head in her hands as she cried. She misses her dad so much, and she wants him in her life and in her children's lives as well. She also wants Spencer to meet her father, and see how great he is. He knows that Maeve was once close to her dad, but didn't know the other part about why they don't talk anymore. he knows she doesn't like to talk about it, and doesn't pressure her about it. But he is curious, and wants to help her if he can. She sighed as she walked into the the restroom. She turned on the water and splashed water on her face. She turned the faucet off and looked at herself in the mirror as water dripped from her face. She took a dry towel and dried her face. Then she walked back to her bed and laid down. She closed her eyes and prepared herself for, what she hoped, would be a good nights sleep.
Two days later, Maeve had her eyes closed as she laid in her bed. She had just woken up a few minutes ago, and was just relaxing now. She heard a noise in outside the room and her eyes shot open. She sat up and laid her back up against the bed frame. Her heart pounded as the noise grew louder. Someone was walking up here. Then her door cracked open and a man stood there, but it was dark and she couldn't see who. But she could tell it was a man, and he looked very familiar. He turned the light on and she jumped, but then she sighed in relief and relaxed as she saw that it was just Spencer. "Sorry, did I scare you?" Spencer asked and Maeve smiled at him. "Yeah, but it's all good now." Maeve replied. Spencer walked over to her and kissed her on the lips. Then he got in bed next to her. "How was your few days?" Spencer asked. "Fine, pretty boring." Maeve replied and he nodded. "Mine were too." Spencer agreed and Maeve lsughed. "Yeah, I'm sure it was." Maeve commented and Spencer laughed too. "You need your rest, good night." Spencer told her. "Good night." Maeve told him. They kissed and laid down for bed.
