Chapter 50: Adoption Part 1!

     Aaron parked the car outside of their house. He leaned to Emily and kissed her. "Ready for this new chapter in our lives?" Aaron asked and Emily grinned. "I'm excited." Emily replied. "Me too." Aaron agreed. They walked in and Jessica left. Jack was watching TV on the couch. "Hey, Jack." Emily greeted. "Hi." Jack greeted. "I'll start dinner." Aaron commented and Emily nodded. "Okay." Emily agreed. She walked upstairs and into Declan's new room. Declan grinned once he saw her there. "Emily!" Declan exclaimed and ran to him. He ran up and hugged her. Emily sighed as she hugged back. "How was your couple of days?" Emily asked as they pulled away. "It was fine." Declan replied. "Aaron's making dinner." Emily informed him. "Okay." Declan agreed. "Hey, what's your favorite food?" Emily asked. "Steak, with extra barbecue sauce." Declan replied and Emily laughed. "Good to know." Emily commented. "Do you remember the steak Louise use to make when you were dating my dad?" Declan asked and Emily sighed. She just wants to forget about Doyle and that she ever dated him. Declan doesn't remind her of Doyle, he just reminds her that she risked everything more then once to save a boy who needed someone at his side. Louise Thatcher was Declan's guardian, who is now dead. "I do remember." Emily replied. "I use to love them." Declan told her. "See you at dinner." Emily told him. "Okay." Declan agreed and Emily left.
     Emily walked up to Aaron. "What are you making?" Emily asked. "Just some pizza. It's already late as it is." Aaron replied and Emily nodded. "Has the adoption agency called you back yet?" Aaron asked. "Not yet, but it's late and the place is probably closed." Emily replied and Aaron nodded. "True." Aaron agreed. "I'm going to take a shower before dinner." Emily told him. "Okay, have fun." Aaron agreed and Emily walked back up the stairs and to the restroom.
     Penelope woke up the next morning to a crying baby. Penelope sighed as she got up and walked to her daughters room. "Hi, Abbey." Penelope greeted as she picked her up and rocked her in her arms until she quieted down. Kevin walked in and stood at the doorway. "I'll start breakfast." Kevin told her and she nodded. Kevin walked out as Penelope put Abbey down. She took out a diaper and a new pair of cloths as she started changing Abbey. She picked her back up and walked downstairs and put her in her high chair. "I'll feed Abbey and give you the chance to eat." Kevin told her and she smiled. "Okay, and then I'll give her a bath as you eat." Penelope agreed. They both smiled at each other as Penelope began eating and Kevin started feeding Abbey.
     Emily woke up to her phone ringing. She looked at it and saw that it was an unknown number. She grabbed it and walked out of her room as she answered it. "Prentiss." Emily greeted. "Hi, I'm Anne, from the Adoption Agency." Anne greeted. "Oh, hi." I greeted. "We had a miss call from you. Something I can help you with?" Anne asked. "Yes, I want to adopt the kid I'm fostering." Emily replied. "No problem. One of my appointments for the day actually was canceled, so I can see you and the foster kid at two pm today." Anne told her and Emily nodded. "Today? Yeah, I can do that." Emily agreed. "See you then." Anna told her and hung up.
      Aaron walked out and looked at her. "What was that about?" Aaron asked. "The Adoption Agency. She said she can see Declan and I at two." Emily replied and he grinned. "That's great!" Aaron exclaimed and Emily nodded. "Yeah." Emily agreed. "What's wrong?" Aaron asked and she sighed. "Nothing, I'm just nervous." Emily replied. "Don't be, Em. Jack and I will go with you, to show her our whole family." Aaron told her and she smiled. "Thanks." Emily commented.  "Anything for you." Aaron told her. She pulled him close and kissed him passionately. "What was that for?" Aaron asked. "For loving me." Emily replied. "It's impossible not to love you." Aaron told her and she laughed.
     Emily just finished getting dressed to see the Adoption Agency. She opened the drawer by her bedside table and picked up a wedding magazine. She forgot it was there. Her and Aaron had gotten engaged awhile ago, and started planning in the begging, but things got in the way. "Em! Are you ready?" Aaron asked from outside the door. "Almost." Emily replied. "I'll put the kids in the car." Aaron told her. "Okay." Emily agreed and she heard him walking away. She really wants to marry him, maybe they can finish planning the wedding once the adoption is over and done. She rolled the magazine up put it in her purse and then left.
     Aaron walked back in and saw Emily about to leave. "Hey, what's taking so long?" Emily asked. "I was just thinking. After we adopt Declan, we should really start our wedding planning." Emily replied and Aaron grinned. "I would love that." Aaron agreed. Emily kissed him and took his hands in her's. "I love you, and I'm ready to be your wife." Emily told him. "And I'm ready to be your husband." Aaron told her. "Now let's go bring another boy into our family." Emily told him and Aaron walked out.
     Will just put Michael to sleep. JJ went out shopping with Henry. Will walked into his room and his phone was ringing. But but by the time he got to it, it stopped ringing. He picked it up and saw he had a missed call. He looked to see who it was and gasped. It was his brother. Will has an older brother, but they don't talk. They haven't spoken in so many years. But he called Will, and Will has no idea why. Will didn't know if he should call him back or just ignore it. Maybe it was a mistake? Will won't know that until his brother calls him back, or doesn't. Will sighed as he put his phone in his pocket, keeping it with him at all times is the best option at the time.
    Emily parked the car and got out as Aaron, Jack, and Declan did too. They all walked in and saw went up to the women at the desk. "We have an appointment with Anne." Emily told her. "Have a seat, I'll let her know that you're here." The women told them and they nodded as the crossed the room and sat on the waiting chairs. "Aaron took Emily's hand and she smiled at him. "Still nervous?" Aaron asked. "A little, but I'm happy." Emily replied. "How about you, Declan? Are you nervous?" Aaron asked. "I'm too excited to be nervous." Declan replied. Both Emily and Aaron laughed. "She's ready to see you now." The women at the desk told the family. They stood up, and got ready to walk in.
