Spencer and Maeve were still at the hospital. "Twins?" Spencer asked. "That's right. There are two separate heartbeats." The doctor replied. "I didn't see that coming." Spencer commented. "There's the girl and there's the boy." The doctor told them as she pointed it out. "They're beautiful." Maeve commented. "I'll print out two copies for you and I'll be right back. Here's a towel to clean up the gel." The doctor told them as she handed a towel to Maeve. Maeve started cleaning off the gel as the doctor left. "Twins." Spencer commented. "I know." Maeve agreed. "Can we handle it?" Spencer asked. "I'm sure we will, it'll just take some time." Maeve replied and Spencer nodded. "Yeah." Spencer agreed.
Emily woke up and saw that Aaron wasn't next to us. Emily put on her robe and went downstairs to find Aaron making breakfast. "Smells good." Emily told him. "Good." Aaron commented and Emily laughed. "Is Jack at school?" Emily asked. "Yeah, the bus just picked him up." Aaron replied. "So, we have the house to ourselves?" Emily asked with a smile and Aaron smirked as he walked over to her. "I believe it does." Aaron replied as he pulled her close. They kissed passionately for several moments. But then they smelt something. "Is something burning?" Emily asked and his eyes widened. "The waffles." Aaron replied as he ran over to them and grabbed them. Emily laughed as she watched her boyfriend. "No offense, but I think we should go out and eat." Emily told him and he sighed. "You're right." Aaron agreed. "I'll get ready." Emily informed him and walked upstairs.
Spencer had texted the team the good news and then took Maeve home. "So, what are we going to do about the baby room?" Maeve asked. "I don't know. I haven't thought that far ahead." Spencer replied. "Maybe purple? That's in between blue and pink, right?" Maeve asked. "Mixing pink with blue makes a nice light purple or a light violet or lavender, depending on the percentage of each one." Spencer replied and Maeve smiled. "I love when you recall a fact." Maeve commented. "You do?" Spencer asked. "Definitely." Maeve replied. "It annoys most people." Spencer told her. "Well, I'm not most people." Maeve told him and he smiled. "Neither am I." Spencer agreed. "That's why we work together so well." Maeve told him and they kissed. "We only have two rooms in this house." Spencer told her and she nodded. "Yes, and that's perfect for us right now." Maeve told him. "For right now. But in the long run we might need more rooms, and it'll be easier to move now then later." Spencer explained. "Move?" Maeve asked. "The twins are the opposite gender in a few years they'll need separate rooms. We should look into a three bedroom house." Spencer replied. "Really?" Maeve asked. "I think so." Spencer replied and Maeve thought about it. "Okay, let's do it." Maeve agreed with a smile.
Emily smiled when she saw the text from Spencer. She was happy for him. She had finally finished getting ready. She opened the drawer in the nightstand and gasped at what she saw. It was tiny box, but the box was open and inside it was an engagement ring. She picked it up and looked at it. She couldn't believe her eyes. Was Aaron really planning on proposing to her? "I'll be in the restroom. Meet me in the living room when you're done!" Aaron called from outside the door. She put it on top of the dresser as she heard Aaron's footsteps walk away. Her heart was beating faster and she could barely breathe. Was she ready to get married? She couldn't even think to figure it out. She walked out of the room and down the stairs. She opened the front door and sighed as she looked back. Then she walked out, closing the door behind her.
Aaron walked downstairs and saw that Emily wasn't there. So he went up to the bedroom, but still didn't see her. He saw the drawer to the night stand was open. He walked over and his eyes widened when he saw the ring. Emily saw it, and it probably freaked her out, knowing Emily. If she's scared of commitment, then she's probably scared of marriage too. Just look at her parents. He sighed as he walked downstairs as he held the ring and went outside to find Emily, but she wasn't there. He knew she probably freaked out after seeing the ring, knowing Emily. He didn't know what to do. Should he go out and look for her? Or should he wait for her to come and give her time to relax and figure things out? He wants to go find her, but he knows he needs to leave her alone right now. He sighed as he sat down and hoped she was okay.
Emily had parked her car and got out so she can take a short walk and get her thoughts together. She couldn't believe Aaron was planning on proposing. I guess she shouldn't have been so hopeful that they could just date and not get married. It's not that she's against marriage, but all marriage ends in divorce. At least, that's what she thinks. She just wants to live with Aaron and be with him, without marriage getting involved. She loves him, and that's why she doesn't want to marry him. Should she risk her whole relationship with him for marriage? If she says yes, they'll break up in a few years. But if she says no, they'll break up now. But if they break up later, it might hurt more. For her. But breaking up now might hurt him more, because it'll be like rejection. But she's not rejecting him, she's rejecting marriage. But she doesn't know if he'll see it like that. She doesn't know what to do, or how she feels.
Aaron looked out the window and sighed. He was worried about Emily. It's getting darker and cloudier, so it'll rain soon. At least she took her car. He sat back down and looked down at the ring he held. He heard the door and stood up to see Emily walking in. She sighed and closed the door as she faced her boyfriend. "I was worried about you." Aaron told her. "I had to think." Emily told him. "I know that you know about the ring." Aaron commented and Emily sighed. "How long?" Emily asked. "How long what?" Aaron asked. "How long were you planning on proposing to me?" Emily asked and Aaron sighed. "Since you've been back from being supposedly dead." Aaron replied. "We just got back together, we're happy." Emily told him. "And that's why we should get married." Aaron told her. "But all marriage ends in divorce." Emily told him. "Not true, not all marriages." Aaron told her. "Yours did." Emily told him and he sighed. "That's different. She didn't accept my job, which is a part of me. You don't just accept it, you embrace it." aarom told her. "I love you, Aaron. That's why I think it's a bad idea." Emily told him. "I don't." Aaron told her. "I just don't know." Emily commented. Aaron got on one knee. "I love you, Em. Will you marry me?" Aaron asked. Emily just starred at him. She didn't know what to way or do. She does love him, and that's why she's so unsure. Her heart was beating fast as her mind raced. She slowly smiled at him. "Yes." Emily replied. "Yes?" Aaron asked. "Yes." Emily replied. Aaron stood up and put the ring on her finger. Asron put his arms around her waist as Emily put her arms around his neck and they kissed passionately. Then they pulled away and hugged.
