Chapter 25: Date Night!

      Will walked up to JJ. "Are you okay?" Will asked and she sighed. "No. Emily left to talk to Hotch, and I haven't heard anything since then." JJ replied. "I'm sure she's okay. They might just be getting everything figured out in their relationship." Will told her and she nodded. "Perhaps." JJ agreed. Will grabbed her hand and locked eyes with her. "It'll be okay." JJ reassured. "I know. You're right." JJ agreed. JJ leaned in and kissed her husband's cheek and then walked into the nursery.
      Penelope had a robe on and her hair was in a bunch of curlers. She was sitting in front of her vanity in her bedroom. Kevin walked in and Penelope smiled as she looked at him through the mirror. "Abbey's all ready." Kevin told her. "Okay. I'm so glad JJ agreed to watch her for our date night." Penelope commented and he laughed. "It sure does make this easier." Kevin agreed. Penelope put on her earrings. "Are we taking her right before we leave?" Penelope asked. "Since I'm ready, I thought I would give you time to get ready and go ahead and take her. Then I could come back and pick you up." Kevin replied. "Sounds good to me." Penelope agreed. "Okay, I'll be back in a few. Try not to take too long yo get ready." Kevin told her with a smirk and Penelope laughed. "I'll try." Penelope told him. Then Kevin walked out as Penelope kept getting ready for their date.
    Spencer and Maeve had decided to move in together and Derek and David were helping them. They were moving into Spencer's place, because it was bigger. Derek and David brought in the last of the boxes. Maeve sat at the table when Spencer walked up to her. "How are you feeling?" Spencer asked. "I'm fine, Spence. I'm only a few weeks pregnant." Maeve replied and Spencer laughed. "I suppose, but you can't br too safe." Spencer told her. "You still could have let me help." Maeve told him and he smiled. "You can help unpack. I just didn't want you carrying any heavy boxes." Spencer told her and she smiled. She put her hand on top of his. "And that was sweet of you." Maeve told him. "Enough of the cute crap." Derek commented and the couple laughed. "Do you need anymore help?" David asked. "No, I think we have it from here. Thanks for helping." Spencer replied. "No problem." David told him as he walked out. "Good luck, kid." Derek told him and followed David out. "Where do you want to start?" Spencer asked his girlfriend. "Sleep. We can start this tomorrow." Maeve replied. "What if I get a case tomorrow?" Spencer asked. "Then I'll start and we'll finish when you get back." Maeve replied. "Are you sure?" Spencer asked. "Positive." Maeve replied. Maeve grabbed his hand and stood up as they walked up to their room.
    JJ was in the kitchen feeding Michael  Henry was playing with some of his toys in the living room and Will was reading on the couch. There was a knock on the door and Will got up to answer it. He saw Kevin holding Abigail on the porch. "Hey, come in." Will greeted. "Thanks." Kevin commented as he walked in and Will closed the door. Will and Kevin haven't really talked before, so it was a bit awkward. "You can just put her in the playpen." Will told her. "Okay." Kevin agreed as he put her down. "Are you in a hurry?" Will asked. "No, I'm trying to buy time so Penelope will be ready when I get back there. You know how girls are." Kevin replied and Will smiled. "That's for sure." Will agreed and they both laughed. "Guys aren't a pleasure to be around all of the time." JJ commented as she walked in holding Michael. "Is that so?" Will asked. "It is." JJ replied a she walked over and put Michael in the playpen and waved at Abigail. "Thanks again." Kevin commented. "No problem, have fun." JJ told him. He waved as he walked out of the house.
     Kevin drove up and parked at their house. He got out of the car when Penelope walked out of the house. Kevin starred at her in amazement as she smiled at him. She had a long silver dress with short sleeves and her hair was curly. Kevin walked up to her and took her hand. "You ready?" Kevin asked. "Definitely." Penelope replied. They walked over to the passenger's side of the car as they held hands. Kevin opened the door and helped her in. Then he got in the drivers side. He started the car and drove out of the driveway. "Where are we going?" Penelope asked. "You'll see. It's a surprise." Kevin replied and Penelope grinned.
     It was really late when Kevin finally stopped. He smiled at his wife, who was asleep. She opened up her eyes and sat up to look around. All she saw was one building. "Where are we?" Penelope asked. "At our destination for our date." Kevin replied. "It must be past midnight." Penelope commented. "Actually, midnight on the dot." Kevin told her. "We must be miles out of town." Penelope commented and Kevin nodded. "We are." Kevin agreed. "Where are we?" Penelope asked. "At a small bed and breakfast." Kevin replied. "But what about Abbey?" Penelope asked. "JJ said they can watch her for the whole night." Kevin replied and Penelope smiled. "Really?" Penelope asked. "Yeah. What do you think?" Kevin asked. "I love it, and I love you." Penelope told him and she leaned in and kissed him. "I love you too. Let's go." Kevin told her. They both got out of the car and walked into the bed and breakfast.
       Penelope woke up and saw that Kevin wasn't there, but she heard the shower from the restroom. Then it was turned off and Kevin walked in with a towel around him. "Hey, your up." Kevin commented. "Yeah." Penelope agreed as she sat up. "Breakfast is in ten minutes, if you want to take a quick shower." Kevin told her and she nodded as she stood up. "Sure." Penelope agreed. She walked up and kissed him and then grabbed her phone and walked into the restroom. She quickly dialled JJ's number. "Hey." JJ greeted. "Sorry, did I wake you?" Penelope asked. "Yeah, but it's fine." JJ replied. "I just wanted to check on Abbey." Penelope told her. "Abbey is great, no need to worry." JJ told her. "Perfect. We'll be back soon.... Ish." Penelope told her. "You don't need to hurry, you deserve some fun." JJ told her and Penelope smiled. "Thanks, JJ. I'm going to hop in the shower and then eat breakfast, so I'll see you later." Penelope told her. "Okay." JJ agreed and they hung up.
