Raven's POV

Walking into the room I take a seat next to the windows and stare out at nothing in particular.

As I zone out I start to think about the boy with the green eyes. I know I shouldn't be intrigued by him, but I am. There is just something about him that is so different. It's quite obvious that he's not like the other boys around him. He and his friends stand out, but I kind of like it.

I'm forced out of my thoughts and back into reality when I hear a very loud thud coming from my left.

Turning my head I see the boy that convinced that Louis kid to leave me alone.

"I'm sorry about Lou he can have quite the temper." He says as he takes a seat and gives me a friendly smile.

"It's fine. He had a point though. I shouldn't have been standing there blocking everyone's way."  I say shyly. I know Jade told me not to talk to them, but he seems so nice. It would be rude of me not to talk to him.

"I'm Niall, by the way." He extends his hand towards me while giving me a small smile.

"I'm Raven." I say as I shake his hand. He has a very firm grip but it's not firm enough to hurt me.

The bell rings signalling the beginning of the class period and the end of our conversation.

Throughout class our teacher, Mrs.Shelley, describes the class rules and all of the assignments that we will be doing this semester.

I don't exactly listen to what she is saying but I look at the front of the room to make it look like I am paying attention.

As I pretend to pay attention I get this overwhelming feeling that I am being watched. I look to my left to see Niall staring at me. He gives me a smile then looks down at his phone on his desk before giving me another glance. He gives me one last smile before facing the front again.

"Well that was weird. I wonder why he was staring at me." I think as I zone back out for the rest of the class period.

Twenty minutes later the bell rings and everyone begins to file out of the classroom. Gathering my things I stand up and walk out the door.

As I'm heading to my Creative Writing class I run into Jade, who just so happens to be walking into the same room as me.

Before we can walk through the door Niall and one of his other friends walk to the class across from us.

"Have a great class Raven. I'm glad I got to talk to you last period." He says as he opens the door.

"Same to you Niall." I say while trying to avoid looking at Jade as I walk into the class and take a seat.

Jade sits down next to me and doesn't say a word.

As the warning bell rings, Jade breaks her temporary silence and turns towards me.

"I thought I specifically told you not to talk to them. Why did you talk to him?" She asks angrily.

I shrug my shoulders as I turn to face the front of the class.

Fifty minutes later the bell rings and Jade is already up and out the door. Walking to the door I stumble across Jade.

"I told you not to talk to them and you didn't listen to me." She says quite angrily.

So not only is she still angry, but she didn't forget about the whole me talking to Niall thing. I was kind of hoping she would have forgot.

"Just let me explain." I beg as Jade shakes her head.
