(I can't really picture Kokichi and poetry together but I thought I'd do it anyway because I wanted some poems and all I can write is Oumasai *
DDLC flashbacks*)

Saihara sighed as he headed to Kokichi's dorm room. He had been looking for the trickster everywhere in hopes of hanging out but he was nowhere to be found. He went up to the door and knocked only to find that the door was actually open. Saihara flinched. Open...? Ouma never leaves his room open.

Shuichi reluctantly made his way into the room. He had never been inside Ouma's room. He was quite deliberate at hiding in. He looked around more than a bit freaked out by the state of his room. There was various junk scattered everywhere. Boxes filled with drawings of imaginary weapons, evidence collected from trials, a whiteboard displaying photos of them all and a red notebook. For some reason, the notebook caught his eye the most. It had nothing on the cover and looked quite old.

Now Shuichi wasn't a fan of snooping around in other people's stuff but Ouma was a different scenario. Ouma was an enigma in almost every regard. Shuichi knew nothing about him but he desperately wanted to. So going against his morals, he opened the book. His eyes widened at it.

It was full of poems.

Huh...Ouma liked poetry? It seemed out of character for him to like such things. He examined the first page, he quickly noticed that the poem on the first page wasn't written by Ouma. The handwriting looked neater, more elegant while Ouma's was a mess. The poem was cheerful, sort of like one for a kid. One that belonged to the 'roses are red' section of poems. He turned the pages to find more of the same elegant handwriting. Each poem was childish and sweet. Until page 12. On this page finally, he saw something written in Ouma's handwriting. It was another poem but it had a different tone than the others.

Ridiculous

How absurd,
How idiotic
How illogical
How psychotic
Those are the traits defining the bear before me

It wasn't cheerful like the rest. It was apparently about Monokuma judging by a little doodle of his face underneath it. He looked at a second page with another poem.

Kaito

Twinkle twinkle little star
How I wonder what you are?
I wish I could hit you with my car
But Maki would kill me

Yep, this was definitely Kokichi's poem. But why would he write a poem about Kaito of all people he looked at another poem.

Maki

Lady in Red, Lady in Red,
Who's blood is that on your hands?
Lady in Red, Lady in Red,
Who'll be your victim today?
And that metal barrier around your heart,
Will somebody tear it apart?

Another poem about a person? Did he write one for each of them? None of this made any sense. He sighed as he flipped through a few pages of poems about his friends. Gonta, Kiibo, Kirumi, Rantaro, Miu...a lot of them. He then noticed another poem, one not titled by anyone's name.

My Mask

Hide the truth, hide my pain
Please just make it go away
Wearing a mask of lies and false smiles
As my soul burns on the inside
The ache in my heart rips at my sanity
You're alone and always will be he says to me
The darkness wraps around my neck like a chain
It brings me down, takes my breath away
I'm not okay is something I can't say
As my breathing ceases and the world goes black
I feel free
And I don't need my mask

This disturbed Saihara quite a bit. The last verses to be exact. Was Ouma... depressed? That was at least the feeling he got from it. But even though he was afraid of what poem awaits him next, he turned the page over.
