(Has a bit of Kyoko x Saihara cuz I honestly prefer it over Saimatsu. Also, I wanted to make it fluffy but whenever I think of Ouma getting jealous, it's usually because of hating himself so.... there's no way to avoid angst there right?)
Ouma silently stared with a mad expression as he watched his boyfriend talk to the purple-haired detective across the cafe building. He was supposed to hang out and talk to Rantaro and Kiibo, yet he couldn't focus on what they were saying, simply glaring as Shuichi got flustered while talking to his partner. He had to admit. He was jealous.
Super jealous.
And it all boiled to one reason. Kokichi was worried he'd lose Shuichi to someone else. He knew that he should trust Shuichi, trust that his love towards him was strong enough to make him love him and him only, but it was tough.
You see, Shuichi had a ton of friends that he could count on and Ouma always thought that they were way better for him. And Kyoko was one of them. Calm, beautiful, mature and smart. In other words, she was nothing like him. Annoying, childish, untrustworthy and a liar. It always upset Ouma cause he knew Shuichi shouldn't love him. He wasn't even sure how he got so lucky in the first place. To some, his lucky shot with love could easily rival with Makoto's luck.
He couldn't stand the sight of Shuichi blushing in front of her. He knew that Shuichi blushed easily but even though it wasn't anything significant, he felt jealous. Kiibo suddenly stopped talking to Rantaro, looking over to Ouma. "Um, Ouma? Are you okay...?" he asked to which Rantaro chuckled. "I think someone's jealous~" he teased as Ouma groaned. "Jealous? Jealous how?" Kiibo asked only for Ouma to mutter the purple-haired detective's name with venom. Kiibo quickly understood what that gesture meant and smiled along with Rantaro.
"Don't worry Ouma, I doubt Saihara would even think about leaving you. I mean you can read the love in his eyes every time he looks at you." Rantaro said ruffling the little leader's hair. Ouma just looked away, completely disregarding his friends' comfort. He'd feel more comfortable if he was able to somehow prove to himself Saihara wouldn't leave him. But Shuichi was unpredictable. Maybe that's what drew Ouma closer to him. The unpredictability of his actions. The fact he was the only one he couldn't figure out.
But his unpredictability was also something that worried him. He was never sure what Saihara's next move would be. And the same was with Kyoko. Would he leave him for Kyoko? Or will he stay with him? It was a question he could ponder day and night no matter how many he had heard the answer from Shuichi. He just couldn't accept the idea of someone loving him.
"Nishishi! Sorry, Rantaro but something just came up and I have to go~! Cya!" he said with a wide grin getting up and running out the cafe. "Ouma-wait!" Rantaro said but before he knew it, Ouma was gone. Rantaro sighed. "Do you think he'll be alright?" Kiibo asked concerned. Rantaro shook his head. "Saihara's a detective. He's not completely oblivious. He'll notice something's wrong eventually. I just hope they sort it out, Ouma's jealousy has been really messing with his head." he said worry lacing his voice. They sat there talking to each other for the rest of the day.

Later Ouma and Saihara sat at their home eating ramen in front of their TV. Ouma had been suspiciously quiet the entire day and Shuichi quickly noticed it. Normal Ouma would've commented on the main character's behavior every five minutes, yet here he sat eating his ramen quietly staring at the ground. "Ouma are you okay?" Shuichi asked softly, suspicious of his boyfriend's unusual behavior. Ouma's lip quivered for a second before a wide, fake grin appeared on his face. "Silly detective! Of course, I'm fine." he said in a sweet tone but Shuichi felt as though his boyfriend was lying to him.
