Oumasai Oneshots

(Ouma x Saihara) Jealousy

(I decided I wanted to publish more frequently so I'm gonna start writing these short oneshots in between the longer ones)

Shuichi watched with envy as Kokichi talked to Rantaro. Rantaro, Kaito, Maki, Kaede, Kokichi and he decided to revise together for the next exam from math they had. Currently, Maki was helping Kaito study, Kaede and Shuichi were helping each other with solving exercises from the math textbook and Kokichi kept curiously looking over Rantaro's shoulder as he explained to him how to do an exercise he had trouble with. And Saihara couldn't lie.

He was jealous. 

It didn't help at all knowing that Rantaro had a crush on Kokichi before they started dating. It always made him feel jealous and overprotective of Kokichi and then he felt mad for being jealous. And then he was mad at himself for being so mad at himself for being so jealous. It was a big spiraling loop that just slowly drove him to insanity every time it happened.

"Hey Shuichi, do you know the answer to exercise six? I keep getting lost in all those numbers..." she said looking at the math book with eyes of despair. She wasn't even sure if it was the math task that made her feel dead inside or was it the sleep deprivation doing yesterday's homework. She might be good at playing piano, but oh boy did she hate math.

"Huh? Oh, the answer is B." he muttered not looking at Kaede his eyes glued to Kokichi. Kaede instantly noticed this and being the worrisome mom friend she was, she immediately wanted to know what's wrong.

"Hey Shuichi, what's wrong? You look pretty down in the dumps..." she said pointing out, however, Shuichi didn't reply. She then looked over at what Shuichi was looking at. Ouma was smiling as Rantaro finished explaining the exercise to him. 

"Thanks, Amami-chan! I appreciate your help although I didn't really need it." he said. Shuichi knew that he was lying and he knew that Rantaro knew too. Only Rantaro and Shuichi were able to truly understand when Ouma was lying and it annoyed the crap out of Shuichi. He didn't know why but it did. 

"Anything for the cutest Supreme Leader~" he said with a grin, a pale pink blush sprouting on Kokichi's face. "Wow is Amami-chan finally willing to join my organization?! That'd be so cool!" he said with his eyes sparkling. Kaede immediately understood the situation although she wasn't sure if anything could be done about. Shuichi's tightened his grip on the pencil he was holding, breaking it in half. As he looked at the pieces of the yellow pencil he sighed and looked over at Kaede.

"I...I'm sorry Kaede but I have to go. I just remembered I have something I need to finish." he said his face showing a look of resignation more than jealousy. Kaede nodded even though she knew he didn't have anything to do. She knew Shuichi and she knew what he usually did when he felt sad. He'd go to his room, curl up in a ball under a blanket and try to write down his thoughts to relieve some internal tension. She sighed. Poor little Shuichi.

She began doing some of the equations by herself before she felt someone tap her shoulder. "Hey, where did Shuichi go? Wasn't he supposed to study with you?" It was Ouma, he was looking at her with a curious glance. Kaede rolled her eyes. "How can you be that oblivious? Didn't you see the glare he was giving Rantaro a minute ago?" she said slightly annoyed "He left because he got jealous Kokichi!" she said grabbing him by the shoulders. Kokichi thought about it for a second. Saihara was always the one to get jealous if he was talking to someone close. I guess it was because Shuichi was quite the clingy type but didn't like expressing it in public.

"Oh...Well, I should probably go to his dorm now before his mascara gets smudged with tears." Ouma said before walking out the library heading towards the door. As he approached Shuichi's door, he could hear relaxing piano songs playing inside. He smiled. 'Classic Saihara...' he thought to himself before opening the door, knowing Saihara usually left it open. As expected. Shuichi sat curled up in a ball, under his blue blanket writing. He immediately turned his attention to Ouma dropping his pen and notebook on the bed. 

"Ouma? What are you doing here...?" he said surprised. Ouma chuckled. "Kayayday told me that my dear beloved Shumai got jealous of me and Amami -chan~" he said sitting next to Shuichi with a comforting grin. "Yeah...I guess I got pretty jealous when I saw him flirting with you..." Shuichi said smiling lightly. Ouma hugged Shuichi, rubbing comforting circles into his back "Don't worry I would never leave my beloved for some dumb avocado. I love you too much" he said sweetly making Shuichi giggle at Kokichi's description of Rantaro. "You know what, exams be damned. Let's go and watch some anime and make you feel better, then we can study for that dumb test together alone. Sound good?" Ouma asked with a smile. Shuichi nodded. 

And so they watched a bunch of anime before drifting off to sleep together on Shuichi's bed.
