(Pregame!Ouma x Ingame!Saihara) Can You...Still Love M-Me?

(So I call this 'Head Trauma AU'. It's an AU in which everyone who died because of Head Trauma, I'm counting Kokichi as well because idk if he died from the poison or by being crushed or whatever, gets their memories back. So that makes it Amami, Ryoma, Angie, and Kokichi. Also, Amami has more changes to him I'll place it in the AU book)

(Also, I might skip over some characters because I want to focus on Shuchi and Kokichi readjusting to their new life instead of the process of them waking up from the simulation.)

Himiko, Maki, and Shuichi sighed as they stared at the machine which had stood before them. The machine which put them in the simulation. Tsumugi promised that the rest of the competitors would wake up shortly, so they just waited for everybody to wake up while Tsumugi checked their progress.

"Hmmm, Kaede 55%...Kaito 32%..." She muttered quietly before her eyes lit up. " Rantaro Amami 99%!" She yelled out filled with joy which surprised them, to say the least. "Why are you so excited about him waking up?" Maki asked cautiously. They were still rather on edge after the game. At that moment, the machine opened revealing none other than Amami. Tsumugi quickly ran up to him with a large smile.

"AMAMI-Uck!" Tsumugi fell to the floor as Amami slapped her across the face. "You incompetent filthy mutt! I TOLD YOU THAT I DIDN'T WANT TO DIE FIRST!" He yelled out in a rather unusual for his tone. It was cold, apathetic. "Rantaro...? What happened to you?!" Shuichi asked. "Nothing. The game is over so I get to drop the act." Rantaro said irritated. "The act...?" Himiko asked equally confused.

"Well, the IDEA was for you to fake my death so I can safely watch the process of the game but this screwup killed me!" Amami spoke clearly irritated. Everyone looked confused. "Ugh, I am the mastermind, you idiots! Tsumugi was just following my orders. She's my girlfriend." He said. "YOU'RE the MASTERMIND?!" Shuichi said surprised. "Yep. Not like it matters. The rest of your friends are fine, well, those that suffered head trauma might not be" he said with a snicker.

"Wait, what do you-?!" Shuichi couldn't finish his sentence as Kaede's pod opened, her groaning as she awoke. "Wait...where? Didn't Monokuma kill me...?" She asked clearly disoriented. "KAEDE!" Shuichi yelled out happily at the sight of the pianist. "Shuichi! What's going on?!" She asked. "I d-did it K-Kaede...I-I s-saved everyone-e just like w-we p-promised..." he sobbed uncontrollably. "You...saved everyone...?" she whispered in disbelief, tears forming in her eyes. "Y-Yes! W-We...we were all in a simulation and everyone worked together to escape. Everybody is gonna be fine!" he assured her. Kaede smiled, tears streaming down her face. "I knew you could do it Shuichi! God... I'm so happy!" she said as she hugged onto Shuichi tightly.

"Jeesh....so boring" Rantaro groaned in annoyance. Kaede looked over. "Rantaro...?" she spoke stunned. "Not the one you know. Turns out he was the mastermind along with Tsumugi..." Maki answered coldly. Kaede nodded. "Do you mind if I just sit down and take this all in? I don't feel well..." Kaede said with her face growing pale. "Sure...take as much time as you need. I'm still shaken up too..." Shuichi said pointing to the nearest bench for her to sit on. "Hey Trashmugi when are the rest supposed to wake up, I want to have this over with... Rantaro said still cold and emotionless. Tsumugi squeaked and walked over to the control panel. "Kirumi is at 99% and Ryoma is at 99%! They should be-!" The two pods opened Kirumi sitting up.

"Ughhh..." she groaned as she awoke. "Kirumi! Are you ok?" Himiko asked. The maid sighed "I do believe so? Do you mind explaining to me what happened?" she asked. Maki began explaining everything when Ryoma awoke. "Ryoma are you alright?" Shuichi asked.

"Never felt better!" followed the chirpy voice. Everyone stared at Ryoma dumbfounded as he smiled with joy that seemed truly honest. "What's up with you, you're never this chirpy..." Himiko asked. "This is what I wanted to warn you about. Head Trauma during the game might result in losing your fake memories and reverting to their previous selves" Rantaro explained. "Ryoma was cheerful and upbeat before the game, all about that PMA. It got to the point it even managed to irritate people." Rantaro said. "Hey, that's rude!" Ryoma said pouting.
