Chapter 11

Media: Kasumi's hellhound form

Kasumi's POV

"Moon wolf's eclipse." I hissed, my voice dripping with venom.

Almost immediately, we were enveloped in darkness. I was in my hellhound form, a wolf slayer secret art that transformed my anger into magic which changes my appearance and abilities.

"Hellhound's Forbidden Arts: Wrath of Hades!" I yelled. From a magic circle beneath my feet, fire spewed out and engulfed my entire being, forming the shape of the three-headed hound that guards the entrance to hell--the Ceberus. Pushing my anger and hatred into the pulsing hell fire, I released a pillar of red flames at the men, who were now hugging each other in fear. Luckily, the huge explosion that followed was obscured by the eclipse wall I had set up beforehand.

Turning back to my normal form, I cleared up the darkness around the alley, showing the mincemeat I had made of the thugs.

"Let's meet up with the others!" I spun around, giving Sting a bright smile while he just stared at me with his jaw touching the ground. Grabbing his wrist, I ran forward, dragging him behind me so he couldn't see my blush.

Oh right! Even though we're friends, Sting hasn't seen my powers yet...

"Kas-chan! You're okay! I was so worried when I didn't see you behind me!!!" Rose flew at me, crushing me in a bear hug. "Oh! And thank you as well!" She beamed, bowing to Rogue and Sting. However, Rogue's eyes were glued to my hand.

Why is Rogue staring at me and Sting?

Looking down, the penny dropped and my breath hitched in my throat. I was still holding Sting's wrist!!! Letting go, I made the mistake of glancing at Sting, who was behind me. His face was a deep crimson, and smoke was escaping from his blonde hair. I could feel a rush of warmth course through my entire being and staining my cheeks with a huge blush. Quickly averting my gaze, I started examining my shoes, which seemed very interesting all of a sudden.

"Ahem...let's call your driver to get you back, shall we?" I mumbled to Rose, still facing the pavement.

"Yeah!" Rose smiled, completely unaware of what just happened.

As I waved to the disappearing silhouette of Rose's car, I felt the presence of a rather disturbing shadow lurking behind me. Rolling my eyes, I snapped, "What now, Rogue?"

"C'mon, stop pretending...you like him don't you, Kas-chan~" He smirked at me.

"Oh..." I raised my eyebrows in mock quizzing, my voice smothered in sarcasm. "You wouldn't dare to deny your crush on a certain white-haired celestial wizard, would you? Rogue-sama~"

This time, it was Rogue's turn to turn a tomato red. Laughing, I turned on my heel and sauntered off in the direction of my apartment, waving a hand in farewell. From the corner of my eye, I espied Sting grinning at Rogue victoriously while Rogue was sulking away.

Just as I turned away on the crossing, a hand took mine. A relaxing warmth filled my mind and my heart started pulsing faster. I turned around to face him, only to be pulled into his embrace, the fur from his jacket warm to my skin. I stared into his mesmerising, electric blue eyes with curiosity and surprise.

"Sting...?" I questioned, my voice raspy and soft. "Kasumi...I've always wanted to say this to you..." he hesitated, pulling me away from him to connect my sapphire blue orbs with his lapis blue ones. "I love you..." he whispered into my ear.

I had been waiting so long for this moment, but I would have never believed that you felt the same...

"I love you too, my hikari ." I answered, my eyes brimming with tears of pure bliss.

Third Person POV
That night, it was a full moon, glowing on a young girl with bright blue hair illuminated by the soft bluish light, caught in an embrace of the popular blond from Sabertooth. However, no moon, stars nor sun could outshine the light of her life.

As their lips connected with such gentleness, there was only one thought on her mind.

All this time...you were right before my eyes, my hikari...
