Chapter 13

▪ Kasumi ▪

"It's finally Saturday!!!" I huffed to myself while strolling into the guild hall. I saw everyone ready for the vacation, chatting and suggesting what to do at the beach.

It has been a hectic week at FIA, and I was looking forward to a soothing and relaxing weekend at the Akane Beach.

Not to mention that I can see Sting again...

"Kasumi! You seem distracted...maybe something happened this week?" Mira's voice creeped up my back, sending shivers down my spine.

"Mira! Don't you ever dare sneak up on me like that again!" I squealed angrily.

Just then, a honk stopped all conversations in the guild. The doors opened to see...

Sting, Rogue, Yukino and the rest of Sabertooth!

I was just about to tease Rogue about his crush when I espied his hand holding hers.

"Rogue!" I smiled, walking over. "I see that you've scored..." Snickering, I let my eyes travel to their interconnected fingers.

Rogue's face turned a baron red while Sting and I laughed.

"Ahem...It's time to get to the Akane Beach! Everyone in the bus!!" Sting hollered through the ruckus that ensued.

I picked up my luggage and started to head for the door when familiar fingers intertwined with mine. The warmth from his hand spread throughout my body, and my face was a soft peach hue.

"Sting...let's go." I smiled at him.

On the bus, everyone crowded around, playing the favourite game of all time...

Truth or Dare

"Okay...Let me begin!" Mira clapped cheerfully, ignoring all the groans that echoed around her.

Well, she isn't the she-devil for nothing...

"Kasumi! Truth or Dare?"

"Dare!"

As they say, fight fire with fire.

"Well then..."  She laughed, with an evil sparkle in her cobalt blue eyes  glinting.

"I dare you to kiss Sting!"

The girls squealed, the guys snickered.

I met her gaze, unfazed by the dare.

Turning to Sting, I found his face barely inches from mine.

"This isn't the first time we did it, is it?" He whispered jokingly in my ears.

Wait. Was he counting on Mira to give that dare?!

Turning around to smirk at Mira, I barely look at her for ten seconds before his gloved hands gently cupped my face, and my eyes connected with his once more.

Both of us leaning in, I feel his warm breath on my cheeks.

Our lips connected.

A series of "Ooh..."s echoed around the room.

When we broke away, I see Mira sulking in a corner, a thick fog of gloom surrounding her.

"I was beaten at truth or dare, and I didn't even know about a ship come true..." She sniffed, while Lisanna and Elfman comforted her.

"From this second onwards, I declare Kasumi Dreyer as my official girlfriend!" Sting announced the major change in his relationship status solemnly to the two guilds.

How's that, Laxus?

I sneak a peak at Gramps and Laxus.
Gramps looked as if I had struck the lottery, while Laxus was contemplating whether he should congratulate or kill Sting.

An idea popped up in my mind. 

Showing my canines in a malicious grin, I spoke.

"Laxus, truth or dare?" I challenged.

"Dare!" He shot back.

He just fell into my trap. That baka let his pride get the better of him. What a huge ego...

My lips curve into a smirk.

"Then I dare you to confess to Mirajane Strauss!" I shouted triumphantly.

Laxus reddened. Mira's eyes widened.

The oohs and ahhs rolled around.

Laxus cleared his throat.

"M-Mirajane...I liked you from the moment we met and I hope you'll return the feeling!" He spouted out in a hurry, his eyes squeezed shut.

Before he could open them, Mira walked forward.

And kissed him.

When they separated, she whispered shyly, "Yes..."

To celebrate, I popped mini rainbow firecrackers near them with my magic.

Laxus glared at me while I gave him a "What?!" shrug.

Sting and Rogue were grinning at each other in congrats.

This is more like it! My family would always make me feel at ease...
