I stand at the balcony of the ballroom, holding a half-filled champagne flute. Muted sounds drift in from the stage across the room, blending in with the chatter. Sighing, I take another sip of the bubbly alcohol.

It's New Year's Eve.

And I have no one to spend it with.

Taking another deep breath, I drain the glass.

"It's fine, I don't need to spend New Year's Eve with someone to be happy. It's fine!"

"You sound like you're trying to convince yourself instead." A low chuckle echoed across the empty room, and I whipped around to see...

God.

No words formed in my mouth as the breath hitched in my throat. The grinning blonde leaning against the door locked it behind him before walking closer.

"M-Mr Eucliffe! I-I thought you were performing tonight!" I stuttered, finally finding my voice back.

Yep. The most famous pop star, Sting Eucliffe, from the band Sabertooth, was right in front of me. Alone.

"Nah, just call me Sting." He smirked. "And Rufus has it covered, don't worry. Besides, I came to find you."

Me?

I'm just the coordinater of this event, and we've talked pure business the past few weeks.

Though I may have developed a crush on the guy--A MAJOR crush--oh shut up!

"F-for me?" I squeaked, as faint cries of the countdown were heard from the wall separating us and the main ballroom.

"Yeah. For you." He whispered huskily, and my breathing quickened as he stopped right in front of me.

She is the most beautiful, most amazing girl in the whole world. She isn't like the other girls who are just in for my fame. And through the four weeks we spent together, I felt something different. I felt like someone else when I'm with her.

I stare into her sparkling sapphire oculuses, burning her every feature into my vision.

She gulped, slightly nervous. It was really cute.

The fluttering in my heart failed to cease as I slip my arms around her torso.

"I love you, Kasumi."

In each other's embrace, the blue-haired girl relaxed. She tilted her head upwards to meet the lapis blue optics that ignited with fiery passion.

Somehow, out of all the women in the world she was sure he could have had, he chose her.

He loves her.

As he brought his lips down on hers gently, she couldn't have felt luckier.
