fingers intertwined, jae stared at the boy's jaw line, then eyes travelling to his cheeks that was tinted pink from the cold.
then to the eyes that would often close without strength from his beautiful smile that made his lips look even more prettier and softer.
his brownish eyebrows were lazily plastered on top of his alluring eyes where his newly dyed blonde hair would fall right beside.
he's perfect.
is he actually mine?
"yes. I am." his soft yet dangerous voice was the thing that made him even more mesmerising.
looking away, jae fiddled with her fingers, cheeks painted velvet red as she realised that she had just said that out loud.
she opened her mouth to show her objection towards his awfully true words.
but he had cut her off by leaning closer towards her, where everyone in the cafeteria could see their skinship.
her breath hitched.
she knew no matter how long it took, she would never get used to him being this close to her.
"park jimin is unfortunately all yours." he smiled, eyes closing as his eye wrinkles pushed inwards.
she swore that every girl that sees that smile would have fainted by now. just like how every girl in the cafeteria is feeling.
fortunately. park jimin is fortunately all mine.
and I can't be more grateful for that.
"don't worry. in return, kwon jae eun will be fortunately all yours too." she leaned towards him, closing the space between them.
maybe it was an excuse to let her remember every feature of him. he was beautiful. she didn't know how someone like her would deserve him.
"I must have been a hero in my past life." he chuckled, then sending her the sweetest smile he could ever bring out.
"you'll always be my hero." she winked, still maintaining the close distance between them.
"then you must be a thief. I have to catch you since you've stolen my heart."
she opened her mouth. then closed it. she had no way out now.
"I'm done. I'm definitely done." she leaned back, raising her arms up in surrender.
his laugh radiated around the whole cafeteria as every other students sent envious looks towards the couple.
as healthy as the couple may seem, they were both aware of what awaited them in the future.
but living the present to your best was what kept them alive.
they, both couldn't describe the gratefulness they had towards each other.
thank you for believing in me.
thank you for letting me believe you.
as friends, they were almost together for nine months to a year.
he helped her every step towards who she was now.
and she helped him every step towards who he never knew he would be now.
they never realised how long they have been staring into each other's eyes only until jungkook knocked on their table.
"stop being all lovey dovey in school it's annoying for singles like us. go somewhere else guys." jungkook rolled his eyes, although he was genuinely happy for his hyung that had finally found love.
