AMELIAS POV
Today was the kids first day of school. Emma's bus came around 7:10 and Joey and Izzy's bus came around 8. I was in the kitchen making coffee and Emma came downstairs on her phone.
"You look very pretty," I smiled and hugged her.
"Thanks," She said.
"Okay smile," I said and grabbed my phone.
"Don't put it on your Facebook," she complained.
"Shut up I don't have Facebook," I chuckled. She smiled and I hugged her again.
"Have an amazing first day of school make a bunch of new friends and do great," I said.
"Thanks mom," she chuckled. She ran out the door and got on the bus. It was now 7:15 and Joey came downstairs playing his iPad.
"Are you excited for school?" I asked.
"Wait schools today?" He said.
"Yes buddy," I chuckled.
"What!" He said, "but mommy summer!"
"You gotta go to school," I chuckled.
"Is Emma at school?" He asked.
"Yup she just left," I said. He pouted and I made him breakfast. I ran upstairs while he was eating to wake Izzy up. I got her up and dressed and she cake downstairs to eat.
"Mommy do you have work today?" Izzy asked.
"Yeah," I said, "so when you guys get off the bus, Emma is going to be there and you guys are gonna be here with Emma until I come home."
"When is that?" She asked.
"Probably around 3, It won't be long," I said.

I was at work and I saw Owen, who was now a familiar face.
"Hey," I smiled, "Owen right?"
"Oh hey," he smiled, "how's work going for you?"
"Good," I said.
"Good," he smiled. I looked up at him and I have to admit he was pretty cute.
"So you like Seattle?" He asked.
"Yeah," I said, "it's different from LA."
"Oh cool you lived in LA?" He said.
"Yeah," I smiled, "I kinda miss the beach though."
"The beach is cool," he said.
"Yup," I smiled. My phone rang and I looked and it was Emma.
"Oh sorry it's my daughter," I said and answered the phone.
"Hey honey," I said. Owens pager went off and he said bye and ran off.
"Hey I just got home," she said.
"Okay I should be home in like 2 hours," I said.
"Okay sounds good," she said.
"You're okay watching you're siblings?" I asked.
"Yeah mom I'm fine," She said.
"And how was school?" I said.
"I mean it's school," she said, "I met this one girl Jenny, she's in like three of my classes she's really nice."
"That's great sweetie," I smiled, "meet any cute boys?"
"Mom it's middle school," she chuckled.
"Alright fine whatever," I said.
"Meet any cute boys at work"? She said.
"No," I lied with a chuckled.
"You definitely did you just won't admit it," she said.
"Shut up," I chuckled, my pager went off and I said bye and ran down the hall.
OWENS POV
Honestly Amelia is really pretty. I got to talk to her today which was pretty cool. I was walking out of the OR and I felt someone run into me.
"Oh my god I'm so sorry," Amelia said. I looked down and her face got red and I chuckled.
"It's okay," I chuckled. She ran off and I turned and smiled as she turned the corner.
"So you think she's cute or something?" I heard Meredith walk up next to me.
"Who Derek's sister?" I said.
"Oh shut up you know her name," she chuckled.
"I mean yeah she's cute," I said.
"Hmm," She said.
"What?" I said.
"No nothing," she said and walked off.
AMELIAS POV
I unlocked the front door and Joey was on the couch playing video games.
"Hey bud," I said.
"Mommy!" He said. Emma came out of the kitchen with Izzy.
"Hey," I said and hugged them, "Were they good?"
"As good as siblings can be," Emma chuckled.
"I'll take it," I chuckled. I walked into the kitchen and Emma followed.
"So how was school?" I said.
"Good," She said.
"Did you get homework?" I said.
"Yeah but I already did it," she said.
"That's my smart girl," I said. Izzy came in with her dolls and sat on the kitchen floor. I chuckled and walked around her.
"Hey Izzy How was school?" I asked.
"Mommy I got homework!" She complained.
"Well did you do it?" i chuckled.
"You have to sign it!" She said and ran upstairs to get it.
"Oh that reminds me you have to fill out my medical info," Emma said.
"Ew I hate that shit," I chuckled.
"Mom," Emma chuckled.
"Oh come on you've heard that word," I said. Izzy came running down with paperwork. I looked into the family room.
"Hey Joey is there anything I have to sign for you?" I asked.
"Can I get it later?" He asked.
"Can you please get it now I'm filling out your sister's stuff," I said.
"Fine," He said and jumped off the couch and grabbed his bag. I sat down next to Emma and filled out all the papers.
"And here you go," I chuckled and handed back the pile of medical forms and emergency forms I had to fill out. My phone rang and I looked at it and it was my lawyer.
"Ugh," I sighed, "Hello?"
"Hi Ms Shepherd?" My lawyer, Aaron said.
"Yes," I said.
"We need you to testify against your Ex-Husband, on September 10th," Aaron said.
"It's necessary?" I asked.
"I know you want to get away but this is important," Aaron said.
"Okay," I said.
"Thank you," Aaron said, "we will mail you the details." I hung up and I could feel tears forming in my eyes.
"Mom are you okay?" Emma asked.
"Yeah I'm fine," I said. I could feel the tears falling down my face and I ran upstairs and locked my door. I started bawling and curled in a ball on my bed.
