AMELIAS POV
It was 11:50 so it was 10 minutes until the New Year. I was in the kitchen with Meredith, Owen was talking to Jackson and Derek, and the kids were either sleeping or downstairs with their cousins.
"So do you want to stay the night?" Meredith asked.
"You don't mind?" I asked.
"I mean how many beers have you had?" She chuckled.
"4 maybe," I chuckled.
"Yeah you're staying," she chuckled.
"Aw you care," I joked.
"Shut up," She chuckled, "so you and Owen sharing the couch or..?"
"Can you shut up," I chuckled.
"It was a serious question," she joked.
"He sleeps over sometimes," I said.
"Ooh So you two are getting serious," she said.
"Yeah," I chuckled.
"Oh you're getting red you two are hella serious," she said.
"Shut up," I said.
"Have you two had sex yet?" She said.
"Meredith!" I chuckled.
"Fine don't answer," she said.
"No," I said.
"Really? i would have thought you two would have done it by now," she chuckled.
"I have three kids in my house," I chuckled.
"So do I," She said.
"Yeah ew Derek's my brother," I chuckled.
"Yeah sorry about that," she chuckled. Derek and Owen walked in the kitchen and came over to us.
"So what are you two cool cats talking about?" Derek said.
"Nothing," Meredith said.
"Mhm," Derek said. I walked over to Owen and wrapped my arms around his waist and nuzzled into him.
"Hey there's 5 minutes until midnight you're not allowed to fall asleep," he said cutely.
"Yeah I know," I yawned.
"Someone's sleepy," he said.
"You've got that right," I said. He kissed my head and rubbed my back.
"Hey Meredith told us we can spend the night," I said.
"Okay cool," He said.
"Hey Owen," I said.
"Yeah?" he said.
"I'm tired," I chuckled.
"No you're cute," he said.
"So are you," I yawned.
"Hey you've got 4 minutes," he chuckled. I looked up at him and kissed him and then nuzzled into him again. As it got closer to midnight we eventually went into Mer's living room to watch the ball drop for New Years.
"10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1!" Everyone yelled. I looked up at Owen and smiled.
"Happy New Year's," I giggled and kissed him passionately. He held my waist as we started to make out a little and then he pulled back and smiled.
"Happy New Year's," he said cutely.
