AMELIAS POV
I was walking in the hallway at work and today was a slow day. I was really tired and I had been here since 7am and I missed my kids. It was now 5pm and I was exhausted. I had two morning surgeries but other than that nothing really. I was walking and I saw Owen walking down the hallway. He looked up from his phone and smiled.
"Hey you," he smiled.
"Hey you," I smiled.
"How's your day been?" He asked.
"Pretty good," I said, "you?"
"It's ok," he shrugged, "I'm really tired."
"Yeah me too," I said. My phone buzzed and it was Emma.
"Can we order pizza?" She sent.
"Yeah sure," I sent back.
"Thanks," she sent. I looked up at Owen.
"I feel bad leaving them alone but my mom was busy today," I said.
"I'm sure they understand," he said, "and Emma's responsible."
"Yeah," I said.
"Are you hungry?" He asked.
"No but I could use some coffee," I chuckled.
"Okay," he smiled. He put his arm around me as we walked to the cafeteria. My pager went off and I frowned.
"I'll see you later," I said.
"Okay," he said and kissed me before I ran off. I ran down to the ER to meet April. When I got there it was so bad. I knew I would be here for hours. It was a big car crash, I paged Derek and there was at least 4 concussions and a few people with brain bleeds already.

It was now 6am the next morning and I could finally go home. I was so exhausted I'm not even sure how I drove home. I unlocked the front door and I heard someone in the kitchen.
"Grandma she didn't come home," I heard Emma say, and I knew she was worried.
"Hey," I said. She turned and smiled.
"I'll call you back," she said and hung up. She ran over and hugged me.
"I was so scared what happened?" She asked.
"A 6 car pile up," I said, "don't text and drive."
"Wasn't planning on it," she said.
"I'm so tired holy shit," I said.
"Joey and Izzy are still asleep," she said.
"Okay," I said, "Thanks."
"Do you want coffee?" She said.
"Yes please," I said. My phone rang and it was Owen but I was too tired to answer.
"Hey I'm gonna get your siblings up," I said.
"Mom it's 6:10," Emma chuckled.
"Ugh," I chuckled. I looked at my phone and decided to call Owen back.
"Hey," I said.
"Wow you're tired," he chuckled.
"Yeah," I said.
"When did you leave?" He asked.
"20 minutes ago," I yawned.
"Wow," he said.
"Yeah," I said and yawned again.
"I'll let you go you seem exhausted," he said.
"Yeah I'm barely functioning," I chuckled, "I'll call you later." Emma handed me a cup of coffee and I smiled.
"Do you want to go sleep I can wake you up when you have to get Joey and Izzy up," she offered.
"It's okay," I said, "go get ready."
"Okay," She said.
-
I got all three kids out of the house this morning on time which was impressive since I was barely awake. I walked back to the couch and collapsed onto it and closed my eyes.
OWENS POV
I was leaving my shift from work and it was 2pm. I picked up my phone and called Amelia. She didn't answer so I figured she was probably sleeping. I started driving home and I felt my phone buzz. At a red light I look down and it was a text from Amelia that read, "come over." I smiled and made the turn onto her street. I pulled into her driveway. She met me at the door and she was so cute.
"Hey," she smiled.
"Hi," I said. She pulled me inside and kissed me. I rested my hands on her waist as we started making out. She was so pretty. I had her face in my hands as we started passionately making out. We ran upstairs and locked her door. I started kissing Amelias neck and she giggled and pulled me closer to me. She took my shirt off and I did the same to her. She smiled and we moved back on the bed and began kissing again.
"Mom I'm home!" We heard Emma call from downstairs. Amelia and I stopped kissing and looked at each other.
"Mom?" Emma said again.
"Hey honey I'm getting out of the shower I'll be down in a minute!" Amelia said.
"Okay!" Emma called. Amelia frowned at me and sighed. I got up off her and she handed me my shirt and I picked hers up off the floor. She pulled her hair into a bun and opened her bedroom door. I grabbed her hand before she walked out and pulled her into a hug.
"I love you," I said cutely.
"I love you too," she giggled. We walked downstairs and Emma had started her homework. I could tell Amelia was kinda frustrated because we were interrupted. I walked up behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist.
"Hey we can continue that later," I whispered in her ear.
"Where?" She said quietly.
"Next time we're working the same shift," I whispered, "on call room."
"You working tonight?" She asked.
"7," I said.
"Me too," she smiled. I rested my head on her shoulder and kissed her neck.
